The house features large windows, warm redwood interior and has been updated preserving its original minimalistic Mid Century Modern character. With one bedroom, one bath, you and one other guest can enjoy the stunning unobstructed ocean views of the Pacific in comfort and peace. Single level living, fantastic location, with unsurpassed hiking trails just steps away at Fiscalini Ranch Preserve, the ambiance of the home itself helps provide a peaceful and relaxing vacation setting. Sit in front of the large bay windows indoors or recline in the Adirondack chairs just outside the living room to check out the views from this cottage; either way you'll be amazed with the beauty of the Central Coast. The living room has a gas fireplace, flat screen TV and Wi-Fi is provided for your convenience. The spacious kitchen is equipped to meet your cooking and entertainment needs. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and attached bathroom with walk-in shower. Our focus was entirely on the dramatic and breathtaking ocean views and the thunderous breaking of the waves on the rocks. We easily overlooked some leaking in the roof due to a roaring storm. It just made the adventure more exciting. We felt like we were glamping on the ocean, but the bed was very comfortable and the place offered serene simplicity. Not your average vacation rental but the only place to stay in Cambria.
A rainbow highlighted our magnificent view.

An answering service over the telephone. Staying in aa historical home is interesting. Too bad the owners are going to tear the home down rather than restore and update the home. The kitchen and bath were not clean. Only one set of towels and one bath tablet for soap for two people for 10 days. Four small windows for fresh air, one of them inoperable. In spite of that, the home was delightful.
The sunsets made it all worthwhile.

We loved this beach house in Cambria. We love the beautiful cove & the unmatched view. It's close to everything in the area & fully worth taking at least a day to stay home & enjoy the beach & house. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Cambria.

(Stayed in early Oct. 2025)Being west-facing, it gets quite warm in the afternoon!Amazing to be right next to the nature preserve. Wonderful walking area.Very friendly neighborhood.Well-appointed kitchen. Make sure you find all 3 fans. We didn't see the one tucked in the corner of the bedroom hanging-clothes area until the last day.Only way to get airflow in the house (since there are only 3 small windows that open), is to open the doors, which do not have screens.

What a sweet nest. Funky cool mid mod architecture. But the location is what’s unbeatable. Hikes at Fiscallini. Saw dolphins, sea lion sunbathing, Deer by the front door, otters out the back. Truly special place. And Cambria is a hidden gem.

We love seeing the seal swimming out our window and hearing the sound of the waves crashing even while we were inside the cottage. I love how it is so close to the hiking trail. We didn't hike as much as we would like because it was so windy the days we were here. We would definitely love to return!

We love visiting Cambria and this is the best place we’ve stayed so far. The location is absolutely amazing. Fiscalini Ranch just a short walk away. The only thing was the kitchen does not have much lighting and the stove is electric. The bed was very comfortable. We would definitely love to come back.

Peaceful ocean retreat

This is the most stunning stretch of coastline in Cambria. This adorable cottage sits right next to Fiscalini Ranch preserve. This means you not only have a gorgeous ocean view but you also look out onto a beautiful sea cliff. The walking trail is right out the front door. This cove attracts sea otters and harbor seals as well as all kinds of sea birds. The check in/out process is so easy and the King sized bed is super comfortable. This is a wonderful home and I can’t wait to come back again!

Beautiful spot

If you want the drama of the northern pacific, this place had it. Its all about the views. The house is a cool mid central design, but is dated and a bit more rustic than I imagined it, but still comfortable. There are few opening windows. Only one very small one in the living room. I would stst again.

There was not much communication but all the necessary details and even local tips were included. The house and where it is situated is truly special. Great experience. The local Farmers Market (Fri afternoons) provided well - Mighty Cap Mushrooms (yum!), breads, cheeses, meats, fruits and veggies. Spirits from Re:Find Distillery were excellent. Stock up and settle in. The network of trails in the adjacent preserve provided a good variety of scenery and intensity. The views from in the house and the ocean actions, powerful and relaxing.
