It has a central location, between the cities of Aix en Provence, Arles, Avignon and Marseille, and, just a stone's throw from the Regional Natural Parks of Provence (Les calanques, les Alpilles, la Camargue and le Luberon).
Salon de Provence is a magnificent city, rich in heritage and local shops.
The oldest part of the city is located on a small hill overlooking the pedestrian streets, where stands the Château de l'Empéri, former residence of the Archbishops of Arles.
