PROS: Our host; Cole Smith, was very responsive and communicated well. The property is in an excellent location, just one block from downtown. Apt was spacious, appreciated open design from kitchen to dining and living areas. Dining table was perfect for card games and jigsaw puzzles. Bed was very comfortable. Lovely Mountain View’s; enjoyed watching the birds play in the palm trees.CONS: Older building with visible deterioration of wooden ledges and surfaces. 18 steps from ground floor to apt E, no elevator or handicap access. New dishwasher was too large for its space and blocked some of cabinet doors from opening. Kitchen and bathroom cabinets, counters, and tubs, are in dire need of replacing. Hardware had been painted over, but deterioration was still visible. No safety grips, mats, appliqués, or stoppers in bathtub. Advertised as newly furnished; but there were signs of wear and tear and stains evident on dining room chairs and sofa. Sectional sofa was a bit flimsy with visible stitches coming apart, and exposed wood at base. We booked and stayed for 5 weeks; but will search for a place more suitable to our lifestyle for the next visit. Hopefully; we will find a spacious 1 BR 2BA condo or apt in the downtown area for our next visit Feb 2027.
