A private, romantic retreat nestled in ancient canyon boulders. Soak in outdoor hot tubs, sway in hammocks, and sleep beneath tree canopies beside a flowing waterfall. This unique, historic home was built around a boulder that forms the walls of several rooms. With stunning canyon views, and 1/2 an acre of nature all around, it’s the perfect hideaway to relax, reconnect, or explore. A great location for proposals and honeymoons. This is a beautiful spot to relax and unwind. The hosts were kind and quickly answered my questions. If you like a private, romantic oasis, this is the place.

GORGEOUS!!

Honestly, favorite stay of all time. The location, natural landscape, and romantic feel was just phenomenal. And the VIEW! The hosts thought of everything... every detail was perfect. The property is meticulously maintained, with next-level amenities. So much character too! Wonderfully clean and beautiful. We had such a relaxing vacation just soaking in the tubs, reading in the hammock, grilling out and making margaritas every night. We will 100% be back!

Getaway

I cannot say enough about how lovely and wonderful our stay was! My husband and I recently visited to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday with a quick little getaway.The house was spotless and so comfortable — we loved exploring all the little hidden gems on the property. It felt perfectly tucked away yet still close to town and shops, which made it extra convenient.The hosts were wonderful to communicate with, too. We had a small issue with the lock on the front gate our first night, and they helped us out right away.We truly wish we could have stayed longer. It was exactly what we needed for a little reset — we can’t wait to come back and would happily recommend it to other couples and friends looking for a cozy, peaceful getaway.Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

The first time we drove through Box Canyon, we knew we loved it. There is a rich history here in the canyon and just adds to its quirkiness. It doesn't feel like Los Angeles AT ALL, which we love. It's like a little getaway from the hustle of the large city, with plenty of water features and gorgeous birds to relax the mind and sooth the soul.

This property and home was love at first sight. The way the house was built around the massive boulder and the way the living room wall was a huge rock etc, it felt alive and it just spoke to us. We took our time furnishing and getting things just right because it has a deep history and we wanted to do the house justice. We wanted to make sure that everything we brought in and set up would look like it's always been here and is an integral part of the house. The outdoor area loops around the house and we spent lots of time and energy ensuring the landscaping looked original and nothing stuck out as too new looking. We've been told we did an excellent job :) Being out here is like a breath of fresh air. It somehow feels connected to an old world, but with modern comforts. It's truly an inspiring space to be in and we never plan on selling. We are madly in love with this property. You have to come see it and tell us what you think!
