Charming country house in the heart of nature, close to Lake Nantua.

Charming country house, completely rehabilitated, on the border of the Ain and the Jura, in a region called "the little Canada". All the comfort of a modern house in a charming old house, with WIFI, laundry room, large dining kitchen with insert fireplace crossing with the living room, large furnished terrace. 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 1 bathroom and 4 toilets. Capacity 10 people. Quiet, in the middle of nature with the typical shops of the region 3 KM away (cheese factory and its famous Comté, butcher... in Thoirette), a 9-hole GOLF COURSE in Matafelon and pleasant swimming in the lake of Nantua and in the lake Genin... Many walks in the upper Bugey. The house is only 10 km from the exit of the Montreal la Cluse highway, on the A40.

We had a wonderful stay over Christmas. The accommodation is great and very well located, with beautiful scenery and plenty of lovely walks to enjoy with kids and friends. The rooms were comfortable and spotless, and the kitchen was extremely well equipped with everything we needed for both big and small meals. The fireplace was a real highlight and made our stay even more special. We truly had an amazing time.A special thank you to the host and support staff for the excellent communication and for sharing so many helpful tips and suggestions about the surrounding area — including walks, local butchers, fromageries, and more. Thank you, Christine, for being such a great host and for keeping your accommodation so well maintained. We would happily return!
