Welcome to your cozy retreat just outside Elizabethtown, PA! Located in a quiet neighborhood, our stylish two-bedroom chalet is the perfect blend of comfort and charm. If you're planning a romantic weekend, a family adventure, or a peaceful escape, this thoughtfully designed home has everything you need—including a brand hot tub and a private patio under the stars.
Just 12 miles to Hershey, 20 minutes to Lancaster, and 25 minutes to Harrisburg, you're close to allot—yet surrounded by nature.
The space
Step inside and enjoy the rustic elegance of reclaimed barn wood cabinetry, pine tongue & groove walls, hickory floors, and modern slate appliances—all wrapped in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highlights include:
Two upstairs bedrooms (via spiral staircase)
Full bathroom with tub/shower combo (on the main floor)
Fully stocked kitchen with granite countertops
Large-screen TV with dual La-Z-Boy recliners

We are a family of 5 with 2 girls and 1 boy. The two girls are in college and our son is in High school. They are involved with running the vacation rental with us. Mindy grew up in this area and graduated high school here. She has many family close by. Dave grew up in western PA, here, and southern Virginia where he graduated high school. We currently reside in Mount Joy, PA, just a short 15 minute drive from the Chalet.
We also love to travel as a family and as a couple as well. Our adventures have taken us to popular Ski resorts and national parks, nation wide. We have done some international travel as well. One of our favorite overseas trips was to Ireland. This is where the name Donegal originated. Count Donegal in northern section of Ireland to be specific. It is also the name of the municipality the Chalet is located in.
We also love to travel as a family and as a couple as well. Our adventures have taken us to popular Ski resorts and national parks, nation wide. We have done some international travel as well. The inspiration for the Chalet is from the different places we have stayed in mountain towns and ski resorts. We are drawn to the small town, village type places tucked away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We still like to stay connected while traveling, but like the feel of being away from congested areas. That has formed the choice of location for our Chalet.
We purchased this property in 2020 with the sole purpose of offering it as a short term vacation rental. We have hosted many couples and families since April of 2021.

The number one quality of our property is the location. It is rural but close enough to everything central PA has to offer. The second thing distinct about our property is the rustic modern feel. It's like staying in a Chalet on the side of a mountain without the seclusion from and distance from all that is available locally and regionally.
