We had a large group of family getting together and this property was perfect. It had plenty of space for us, the views were amazing, and they even had baby/kid items and toys. Great mountain property

We had a great time visiting this property. The check in was a breeze, the property is great for multiple families, and the owner was very helpful. Very close to town and Tallulah Gorge, which is great for hiking. Highly recommend.

Perfect Christmas Getaway!

From the beginning of reserving this property, Karen was extremely helpful and hospitable. We had 10 people, and everyone just loved the accommodations and all the extras that came with it. I highly recommend if you have a big group this is the place to go - you will NOT be disappointed any time of the year!

Lovely Mountain Chalet

My friends and I had an awesome stay at Sunset Ridge in Clayton. The home was beautifully appointed and the layout was perfect for our large group. Check in and check out went extremely smoothly and the guidebook Karen provided about the area was very helpful for the days we wanted to venture into town. Thanksgiving with a View

Our extended family spent Thanksgiving week here and had a wonderful time. We cooked and went out for hikes in the state parks nearby. The house was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The host was an excellent communicator as well as very thoughtful. The WiFi worked well and the view out the back was amazing. Highly recommended!

Great house for large family gatherings

This house was great for our extended family vacation. There are lots of comfortable bedrooms and multiple living areas (inside and out) so everyone can spread out and have their space. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table, games, and big tv in the basement. The location near Clayton is great, but the steep, winding road going up to the house can be tricky (especially at night).

Just an absolute wonderful time hosted by Karen

There is not much you can say about this property and its owner manager. It is just billed. We had our entire family and it was perfect. Even more space than we felt the photos and summary suggested. Karen goes the extra mile with making sure there’s firewood, makings for s’mores, And everything just laid out. The communication was on point to check in and exit. It is probably, no I’ll back off and say, it’s the best property we’ve ever rented through VRBO.

Much needed family time

The house was outstanding. We were able to accommodate 10 people over three generations to enjoy rest and relaxation. While it did rain for two days, the spaciousness of the house allowed us time to talk and enjoy each other’s company and not feel crowded. The host was very attentive and was able to answer questions in a timely manner. We will definitely rent again when we decide to return to Rabun Gap.

Destination Wedding

The perfect home for a large family. The home is beautiful, very clean, and located in a quiet neighborhood on the side of a mountain. We had the rehearsal dinner at Kingwood which was 5 minutes from the house. Karen actually suggested the location. All 6 couples had a room and space to get dressed without being over crowded. In the mornings and evenings, we all sat out on the deck and enjoyed the view. Wonderful location.

Great mountain retreat!

Our family had the best time spending Thanksgiving week up in the mountains! The house looked exactly like the pictures and we've never stayed in a cleaner VRBO. The house was stocked with everything you need which makes you feel like you're right at home. A lot of time was spent on the deck taking in the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. Karen was so easy to work with! She was always available for any questions and full of suggestions for places to hike, eat, or grab drinks. Clayton is a wonderful area to visit with so much to do! We made some wonderful memories and can't wait to do it again.
