Privacy and room to roam in this South Haven Farmhouse

Situated on 3 acres, this remodeled farmhouse is perfect for your extended family or friends. Located just a short drive (within 12 min) of everything South Haven has to offer, this private "Country Club" will be the perfect tranquil atmosphere for you all to reconnect. The 4 bed home has an enormous yard with a fire pit and plenty of room for any other recreation you may desire.

Wi-Fi service is cellular- T-Moble but it is still a cellular Wi-Fi, not Cable so expect "Country" speeds. Also the water is "well water" so expect some discoloration and mineral smell. You may prefer to purchase drinking water and ice.

Pet fee of $250 will be paid direct, post booking.
The place will be yours to enjoy. I will be a phone call or text away for any questions.
Lovely farmland in South Haven just minutes away from all the town amenities and the Lake Michigan Beaches. You will love exploring the farmer's markets wineries and breweries of South Haven and Saugatuck. Very close to the Kal Haven trail.

Looking for more adventures? The Lake Arvesta Farms facility is 5 minutes away offering an aqua park, water slides, wakeboarding, and pickleball!

3 acres of farm land- lots of privacy

Also available - The Farmhouse Guesthouse. This 2 bed 1 bath Guesthouse is perfect If you have a larger party or want to spread out more. This unit will be rented separately, but the only shared space is parking. Unrelated guests of the guesthouse do not have full access to the property, just their space.
You will enjoy the modern remodel of this farmhouse. The kitchen is stocked with all you will need for great meals at home. There is plenty of space to explore.
A car is recommended to best explore the area wineries, breweries, farms and all of the fun in downtown South Haven and Saugatuck. Home to the beach on Lake Michigan is just a 12 minute drive.

Could Use Some Elbow Grease

Overall, there is a lot of potential here. The couches were stained and felt like they could’ve been from a college house, blinds were broken and very old, there was an overwhelming smell of cat urine mixed with quite a few glade(or whatever brand) plug ins. I am not sure if the house went through a storm or what happened but the house did not quite match the pictures. Looked more disheveled with different color paint, foam filler in windows (some had duct tape where the window AC was held which is a little scary having little kids around) and the backyard pool fill in area looked like there was a party or something before we arrived. Lots of yellowing stains in the toilets which I hope are from the well water. I think the price could be dropped on the place per day or a few adjustments should be made to the home. Host was extremely communicative.

Great time!

We had an awesome time staying at the farm house! The only thing we noticed was that there wasn't a water softener so we had to use bottled water for everything. Host responded quickly with any problems we had.

First Time Renter

We loved the whole vibe of the place, and it was a very short and easy drive to get into town. There was plenty of space, both inside and outside, making it comfortable for our large group. The bedroom situation especially was a big draw since it was mostly couples going. As others have said, the well water was kinda smelly and discolored, but it was fine for showering and cooking, and we brought bottled water for drinking and brewing coffee. Overall we had a really great time here, and will keep it in mind if we plan any future trips to the South Haven area.

Huge disappointment

This property was a huge disappointment. It was not cleaned well. In specific, we walked into the house and a mound of bird poop was on the back patio and we found hair balls rolling around the floor (mind you we have kids ages 2 and 3). Well water unusable for drinking or cleaning kids dishes. The guest house (where our in laws stayed) was also not clean, it had drywall dust all over the floor and counters. They had piles of garbage outside (from Reno work which was supposed to be done beforehand). The main house upstairs bedroom window has bullet holes and severely damaged blinds. The upstairs has a bad window AC unit so it gets hot up there. The guest house was also not functioning well as the fridge wasn’t cooling well; it also had a/c issues. Leaky faucets as well. Poor wifi. Lastly, owner refused to refund any money because it was “after the fact”. I tried to find a different property after an hour of checking in but couldn’t find anything due to the holiday and that would house my whole family.

Not the best

While the layout and general interior worked fine, for our family, the house was not what we hoped. There is an overwhelming smell of sulfur from the well water. The filtered Britta water in the fridge was yellow. We brought our own water. We also bought a new shower curtain because the existing one was stained yellow. There was sand in one of the beds. A cabinet door was broken. The fire pit area was an old pool filled in with wood chips. There were holes in a back window from either rocks or a bb gun. The back porch/patio arra had not been cleaned. Overall very mediocre.
