The Dordogne is known as the “Golden Triangle” of southwest France for good reason. Nowhere else blends history, gastronomy, and natural beauty quite so perfectly. We chose this area because it has everything: fairy-tale castles, picturesque villages, river valleys for canoeing, hot-air balloons drifting overhead, and vibrant markets brimming with local produce. Life here moves at a gentler pace, yet there is always something to explore — from world-famous prehistoric caves to Michelin-starred dining. For us, it was the perfect balance of tranquility and adventure.
