Relax, rejuvenate, and restore at this quiet, creekside, ranch-style hideaway surrounded by 2½ acres of pasture bordering Jacoby Creek. You’ll love the huge backyard deck, detailed with a gas grill and room to dine alfresco. From the deck, guests will enjoy an up-close view of the last covered bridge built in California. The beach, the bay, and the redwoods are just minutes away!

All on one floor, the spacious interior provides plenty of room to unwind and relax. Separated from the other bedrooms by the common area, the primary suite is configured with direct outdoor access and a convenient en-suite. Curl up with a good book in the family room while dinner simmers in the full kitchen. The sunlit living room boasts huge picture windows and a gas fireplace for cozy evenings in. Three guest bedrooms, a guest bathroom, and a half bath round out the layout.

Perfect for families, you’ll find kid-friendly extras like a Pack ‘n Play, board games, toys, and a booster seat. Extra perks include a private washer/dryer and complimentary Netflix and WiFi.

The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Jacoby Creek Dream

It was such a big roomy home with to-die-for views of a wooded creek and covered bridge. Loved spending time on the expansive deck. If you like taking walks it is in a beautiful quiet neighborhood that begins with a quaint wooden covered bridge. The house was super clean and had everything needed to cook up big meals. (Except the food) It was a convenient 10-15 minutes to everything in Arcata.

Very spacious, everything was well stocked (eg towels, dishes, kitchenettes, basic cooking ingredients like oil, etc), and SPOTLESS! All my friends loved the place - very peaceful and quiet place. It’s only a 10-minute drive from Arcata so very convenient for accessing groceries and restaurants. I will use this place again if I go near Eureka!

Excellent Stay!

What a great property! We've stayed at many STRs and own and operate a couple ourselves, and I'll tell you Mimi's Ranch House is a special place. We were in town for our daughters' graduation from Humboldt with family, and this place was an excellent home base. The house was so homey that we didn't want to leave when the stay was over. The host and owner were excellent at communicating and responding to our needs. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in Arcata, and would absolutely recommend to a freind!!

Beautiful property

This property was very beautiful. The house has everything you need. It was perfect for our family vacation. The house is older but has been well maintained and cleaned. We would definitely stay there again!

Great vacation spot

Mimi’s ranch house was a very comfortable house for all 6 of us. The bedrooms were large and had plenty of closet space. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything you could want. The back deck was large and had a nice table for all of us to have lunch outside. The view from the backyard was exceptional, with the covered bridge, stream and trees to enjoy, and the front yard was beautifully landscaped. The house was all on one level, no stairs, which was very nice for the few of us who have bad knees. All in all we would definitely stay here again.

Perfection

Mimi’s ranch house was everything my husband and I and four boys (ages 13-20) needed for our 9 day trip to Arcata. The layout was perfect, the kitchen was well stocked, there was plenty of room to spread out, and the whole property was just beautiful. We used the house as home base and traveled to Avenue of the Giants, Trinidad beaches, the Eel River, Crescent City, etc etc. Check in was smooth and easy, the house was spotlessly clean, and the neighborhood was lovely and quiet. We were so sad to have to leave!! Can’t wait to come back, would absolutely stay at Mimi’s again ❤️

Amazing spacious mid century wooden the great amenities

We loved our stay in this well maintained and tasteful one story home. Great amenities and such a large space to enjoy. The kitchen was well stocked and we love the many towels and the lap blankets while visiting in the morning. one of our favorite things was picking out our cup for morning coffee. We loved the art, also. We do hope to come back at some time We were there for a wedding and had a lot of events.

Family business

We had to plan in a pinch so we were ready to take what we could. We ended up with one option, and it was this lovely house! It was a good size but still had a cozy feel. It had a very cool mid century vibe but still with all the modern necessities. We came on a very rainy weekend but the property was stunning. I would love to come when I could really wander the grounds.

Hidden mid-century modern house in a quiet setting

This is a hidden gem of a house. We stayed there for 5 nights as one of 3 couples. The master suite off the front hall provides seclusion from the kitchen and other bedrooms on the opposite side of the house. The classic, mid-mod living room is a treasure. The kitchen is one of the best equipped kitchens I've seen in rental houses, noteworthy because we like to cook. The shared bath for the other bedrooms is spacious, with both tub and shower and double sink; plus a half bath right off the kitchen. The back deck overlooks the stream and covered bridge with plenty of seating. There is no road noise and we slept with the windows open every night. A good market, Murphy's, is just a mile or two away and both Eureka and Arcata are close enough to not feel like it takes a trip to get there. All in all, I can't say enough about how good this house was for our stay.

Beautiful property on a creak.

This home has many rooms, a gorgeous view, an excellent creek, and a nice walk over a covered bridge into a cool and unique neighborhood. We enjoyed staying with our friends and dogs. The kids played in the creek and we took a nice family walk over the covered bridge into the rest of the neighborhood. The deck provided a nice play to hang out in the evening and stare up at the star filled sky. It was a blast!

Fresh Air & Spacious

We came into town to visit my sister who lives in Arcata. We felt so fortunate to find Mimi‘s so close to her home. This is a sprawling ranch home, with plenty of room to stretch out, and a gorgeous deck to enjoy fresh air and nature. The home is immaculate with every amenity at your fingertips. We took beautiful walks each day, took a billion pictures of the picturesque covered bridge, and cooked many meals as a family. As a special bonus, there is also a piano in the great room that we enjoyed. The location is also very close to several hiking trails, Arcata Town Square, and shopping centers. We hope to stay at Mimi’s the next time we are in town. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Awesome place and location!

Our 2 families with children stayed at Mimi’s place this past weekend. The house was great, the kids loved playing by the creek and exploring the property. Location was convenient to get to everything but also quiet and peaceful. We’ll appointed property with enough space to spread out. It’s a little older but that just means it felt like coming home to grandma’s house, which I loved. So glad we stayed here instead of a hotel.

Amazing Property - Highly Recommended

This home satisfied our needs in every way to host a large family get-together. This beautiful home is large, well laid out, and everything is labeled to make it easier to navigate. The kitchen is appointed with every appliance, utensil, place setting, pot, or pan you will ever need. Communication with the property manager was quick and helpful. We can't wait to return!

Home away from home

Beautiful house with a great layout, everything you need is there as if it was your own home. The bridge is breathtaking and the creek is a plus for the kids and dogs. We were 7 and we were very comfortable.
