Beautiful location! Could use some updates, but pictures were accurate and the location was steps from the beach. Check in and out was seamless and communication was very quick. We had a great weekend getaway!

Chalet was tired needs a lot of upkeep holes and screens deck furniture rotting away view from deck is not the view online view from deck is of the back of the seawall unless you go upstairs then you can see the lake

Loved it! Honestly the chalet had the best view of all in the community. The water could be seen and heard just out the windows and the beach was steps out the door. Everything was clean and as advertised. The host was super helpful and responsive. My six children,sister and I were very happy here.This was our first experience with VRBO and it won't be our last!

I was looking for a place to stay while visiting a friend and her family. This was perfect. We each had a room for the adults and children to stay and the downstairs allowed for us to spend time together. The beach was just a few steps away and though Lake Michigan was very cold the children had a great time playing in the water and hiking around the beach area. We saw a few other people on the beach, but it often felt like we were the only ones there. There were people staying in the adjacent unit. We could hear/see them in the shared backyard but not while we were inside (hopefully they could say the same of us). I would stay here again and look forward to visiting again.

Fantadtic lakefront retreat

We had a fantastic stay. The chalet was exactly what we were looking for in a weekend get away. The livingroom provided comfortably seating, the outdoor space was great, with views of the lake. The beds were comfortable and the lake breezes and sound of the waves made for peaceful slumber. We look forward to returning

Nice view

Property has a very nice view. What should be in the listing though is that it's a duplex. We really enjoyed our first night but it was miserable for the rest of the trip due to the people next to us. They were very loud and had kids running around, screaming, crying, etc. All hours of the day and night. I know its not the owners fault but it should be listed as a duplex. It is very close to the beach and parks. Lots of wineries and orchards in the area. And you have to eat at the Grand Mere Inn if you get a chance.

Cute family getaway

Our stay was nice, even though the weather was not. Of note: the bedrooms are upstairs, and the stairs are steep, so if you have young kids consider bringing portable gates for both the top and bottom of the staircase.

On the beach

Very nice, accurately described. We were literally next to the beach. There were huge storms the first few nights and it was really cool to see them over the lake. Comfortable beds, comfortable living space, nice kitchen. One thing I’d suggest is trimming the plants on the sea wall to possibly give an outward view of the lake from the patio level and not just a side view. Also I would bring some extra towels and washcloths next time. Overall very happy.

Peaceful Paradise

Chalet #2 was a perfect getaway for our family of 6, beds for everybody, plenty of space, full kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining space. The beach was just steps away, easy to access and very private. The chalet was charming, but thankfully not overly decorated with trinkets or fragile items, it felt very family friendly and safe for toddlers. Everything was clean and ready for us. Easy check in and check out. Quick, kind and helpful responses from the host. The sunset was gorgeous, the stars were brilliant. I loved the windows above the queen beds, they were such a treat for viewing sunsets or nighttime star gazing. So thankful for a great stay. We hope to be back again. My only advice is to book an extra day, you’ll enjoy it!

Relaxing time by the water

My husband and I stayed for the weekend too celebrate his birthday. We really enjoyed the chalet! It was very cute and just right for us! The location was perfect for our love of taking pictures! We're already trying to figure out how to come back!

Beautiful Lake Michigan property

If you are a sunset chaser this is the place to be. What a gorgeous view. Location was excellent! Home is steps from the beach it made it very easy and convenient with the children. Very private and serene beach!

Great property!

We loved staying in this chalet. You are right next to the water. The kids thought the place was awesome. The property also had a pools, playgrounds and courts for tennis and basketball. The owner communicated very well. We would definitely stay here again!!

Location is Ideal!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Lake Michigan sunsets were spectacular. We appreciated the proximity to the beaches. The place was the perfect size for our family. In addition, there were ammenities for all ages. The location was convenient and close to parks, groceries, and other activities. Mark was very helpful and responsive to our questions. Overall, we LOVED our week in this beach rental. We look forward to visiting again next summer!

This was our third stay at the property, enjoyed it again!! Beautiful view, great access to the beach, and nice pool. Didn’t really care for the new code to get in and out at the gate, but other than that it was another wonderful stay! Will definitely be back!!

Beach Getaway with the grandkids

Our chalet was comfortable and very clean. The only items I ran out to purchase were 2 dish towels and dish rags as we ate all our meals at the chalet so we made use of the dishes and cookware provided. The owner, Mr Shea, was very responsive to my several inquiries in the days preceding our trip. I had several questions as this was our first VRBO experience. We hope to return next summer.

New Favorite

My daughters and granddaughter take a yearly vacation to Lake Michigan and have now found our new favorite place we will be staying! Convenient to the beach, the pool, our favorite beach towns and great restaurants. The chalet was just as described and check in couldn’t have been easier.

Amazing location

The chalet had a beautiful view of the beach. Very clean and great communication with the owner. Every inch of the chalet was laid out nicely to maximize space. My kids loved all of the amenities within the community. Definitely will be back. Great memories.

Absolutely wonderful!

Our stay was amazing! The chalet was right next to the water and a small beach. It was clean and so peaceful. The inside of the chalet was very clean and fit our family of 5 perfectly. We got pizza delivery one night as well, and it was easy. There is a full kitchen as well. I would highly recommend this chalet and its owner. He checked on us to make sure we checked in and everything was ok. We would definitely go back!!!!

The Chalet on the Lake Resort is great for a Summer Lake Michigan Beach vacation. The resort property has two pools, several ball courts, tennis and pickleball. A beach a few steps out the door of the unit. A fire pit for smores and ghost stories. Family memories are made at Chalet on the Lake!
