Private historic district apt with pool-suite B

This Frame Vernacular Style Home was built in 1918. It is named for Emanuel Martin who was a partner in the Law Firm Martin and Hocker. His family were among the first settlers to Marion County in the 1840s.

This one bedroom apartment is on the first floor of the Martin Estate. The apartment is about 800 square feet contains its own entrance, kitchen with dining bar/living room area, bathroom, large bedroom, and a shared pool out back.

The kitchen features a bar to dine at, a refrigerator, bult in induction cooktop, coffee maker, toaster, air fryer, microwave, and essentials like salt/pepper, oil, tea, coffee, creamer, sugar, etc. We do include a welcome gift of pastries to get you started on your first morning.

The living room area features a futon (which can sleep one guest), an electric fireplace, along with a smart TV. The TV is a smart TV so bring along your login information for Hulu, Netflix, prime etc. If you don’t have a membership, each app offers free trials in addition to the other free apps on Roku and live TV tile on Roku.

The bathroom features a claw foot tub with a shower head, fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towels. Note-it is a historic claw foot tub with shower head, you must be able to step in and out.

The large bedroom features a Queen sized bed with topper, smart TV, two closets, sound machine, ceiling fan, sitting area, decorative fireplace, a desk/workspace, along with an extra pillow and blanket. There is also a washer/dryer combo unit for your use along with an iron and ironing board.

The front deck features two rocking chairs and a table. The back deck/pool area is shared with a large pool, deck with outdoor dining table, gas grill, outdoor sun loungers, pool floats, and an outdoor gas firepit. There are two bikes available for use that are shared among the two suites. Parking is off street in the grassy driveway.

**We offer one of the most affordable rates for a one bedroom within walking distance to the downtown restaurants/bars, shops, and entertainment.

**There is no pet fee, no additional person fee, only a $60 cleaning fee. Guests are not asked to do laundry/cleaning etc. as housekeepers will take care of it upon check out. Each apartment is cleaned by professional housekeepers who are paid by the cleaning fee with no markup for the owner.

**We offer great discounts for weekly and monthly stays.


Note: 6/3-6/6 there could be workers installing a screen enclosure around the pool. Still waiting on a firm date

The host was quick to respond. The property was great. Community pool, Grill and fire-pit. We didnt use any of them but they looked like great areas and well maintained. They kepp the house a comfortable temperature but there is an electric fireplace in the bedroom and the living room. Plus a portable A/C. So we stayed at a comfortable temp at all times. It has a claw foot tub that my wife loved and soaked in a couple of times.It has 2 smart TV's but there is a lot to do in the Ocala area. There is a Publix in a strip mall about 4 mins from the property. Which has a Chinese restaurant, a pizzeria, a sub shop and a nail place for the girls. Plus other stores in that same area. The apartment was well furnished and maintained. Everything is there for you.If we ever go back to Ocala, this will be the place we will try to book again.

Silver Springs visit

We had a short stay here for visiting Silver Springs and doing the clear kayak tour.Apartment was perfect for our stay and we would definitely recommend staying, we would again if in the area.The home was beautiful as was the neighborhood and was close to Silver Springs and many places to eat and shop. Take advantage of an evening walk to enjoy the homes here and the historic area.

Beautiful and cozy space away from home

This was the perfect place to stay for my fiancée and I to get away for a weekend. The value in staying here versus a hotel or bnb was immense. The room is more like an apartment, and is absolutely beautiful. It’s located in the quiet and also beautiful historic district, and was the best choice we could make. I’ll definitely be staying here again to go to the springs and get away from Miami in the future.

Very nice unit with bonus of being able to bring the pups

Unit was in a nice neighborhood, and was clean and had all of the necessary amenities. Owner provided some nice bonuses including water and danishes! Would recommend and would happily stay here again if the opportunity arises!

This was one of the nicest stays I’ve had in a very long time. Where to begin….before you even arrive, the hosts are very responsive and helpful. If you leave a message they reply right away. The historic location is beautiful, large trees, and a fairly quiet neighborhood. If you wanted to walk or jog, it’s a perfect spot, and seemed close to downtown. Once at the property, you discover it is charming, welcoming and clean. They seem to have thought of everything! The kitchen is well-enough equipped for a couple or single. The bedroom is the highlight. It’s spacious, with lovely lighting, and cozy nooks for reading, relaxing or napping. The desk in the bay window is perfect for your computer and anything work-related you might need to take care of. The four poster bed is very comfortable and I honestly slept 12 hours, as deeply as I do at home. The clawfoot tub is charming! The bathroom is well lit and equipped with basics you will need. Outside spaces are shared but there is plenty of separate seating areas on the two decks. The pool is gorgeous! It’s screened in and so clean! I would have loved for it to be warm enough to go for a swim. Kids along for the trip would happily spend hours swimming and playing with the toys and inflatables. I would have loved to stay longer and the price seemed reasonable. I will definitely be back if I come this way again.

The historic district is full of charm and character. I love to walk a few minutes downtown to eat at the wonderful restaurants, shop in the boutiques and listen to live music. The architecture of each home is completely different than the next making for an interesting eclectic collection of homes.

The suite is a great value located in a great downtown historic neighborhood. Guests have parking, a kitchen, living room, bathroom, large bedroom, deck and shared pool deck all steps from downtown.
