The Langley Retreat at the historic CRAWFORD HOUSE lies in a secluded nature setting on glorious Whidbey Island in Washington State. Enveloped in three acres including a quarter acre pond with a wide variety of trees and local wildlife, the property sits within walking distance of the charming seaside village of Langley.

The sprawling 6000 sq ft property has a unique feel of immense warmth with private bathrooms and fireplaces in the majority of bedrooms, a great room for gathering including a fireplace and grand piano, a small 2nd kitchen with fireplace, a great hall for gathering with bar and a 14 person table and large old-world chef's kitchen. The kids lounge has games, foosball and tv to keep little ones occupied!

6 spacious bed/bath on one wing and a private caretaker suite and kids quarters/overflow sleeping nooks on the other wing which can be added to your booking for larger groups!

Note: majority of beds are for double occupancy (King beds) but some smaller beds are available.

* 2 king-size suites with private decks and corner Jacuzzi bathtubs that can fit two people!

Langley Retreat @ Crawford House is the perfect location for hosting retreats, family reunions and romantic getaways. Can do small groups for retreats as well. But NOT a party house or a house that can host weddings. Parties are disruptive and alert the neighborhood, which will forfeit deposit.

We'll be back!

This was our third stay at Crawford House, so the fact that we have chosen multiple times it as a place to vacation with our adult kids and grandkids says a lot. It is lovely and spacious with a nice kitchen and comfortable pretty bedrooms. Our grandkids love the big yard (which is stunningly beautiful) and playset. We enjoy the big table that we can eat on one end of while doing a huge jigsaw puzzle on the other end. We had fun going wine and mead tasting, visiting the park, and trying out local restaurants in the area, as well. It was a wonderfully relaxing weekend, and the owner and manager are both friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come back.

Yoga with friends!

Eight middle school teachers got away from me he madness of the world for a fabulous weekend of yoga, homemade food, and lots of laughs! We loved each having our own private room and bathroom. We’ll be back!

Family get together

All 17 of us so much enjoyed all the many amenities to the property . Kids even stayed off their devices for much of the time! Great gathering :everyone said how much they will treasure our stay .

Perfect Place for Large Gathering

A group of old college roommates with our partners and newborns spent the weekend here and had a great time. Spacious, great bedrooms. We hired a private chef, who cooked a couple meals in the kitchen, which was large enough to comfortably handle the large meals. Backyard is great for lawn games. And Lara and Jennifer were communicative and very helpful. Would definitely recommend renting.

50th anniversary trip

I booked this house over a year ago to celebrate with our entire family and it was fabulous! From the coffee beans to the bottle of wine and fresh strawberries they left us on arrival to the special treats that the manager Jennifer brought us for movie night and back yard smores. Jennifer even ran over with a scale one night so we could make sure 2 of the kids weighed enough for the zipline tour they wanted to do. Lara was a delight to work with and I would stay here anytime again. Thanks so much for all you did to make the trip special.

Pictures Don’t Do This Place Justice

We had a group of 13 (six couples and a brother). This place could not have served our group any better. The space was perfect. Having six bedrooms on one wing of the house each with full in-suite bathrooms, each with large comfy beds, and all separated from the other wing of the house was perfect. A hallway with a sort of storm door separates the sleeping area from the living area is what made this place so perfect. If our group was hanging out in the overly spacious living room and someone wanted to go to bed, they could get away and enjoy a quiet nights sleep. The kitchen is very well stocked with all equipment needed, the 10 burner stove with double oven is perfect for cooking for a large group. We were all able to sit at the dining room table for meals together. The patio was very spacious and so peaceful for a morning cup of coffee (deer would walk right up to the patio to eat from the trees). The “caretaker’s suite” was also a really nice addition for our 13th guest to have their own space as well. The host was great, this house was perfect, we will definitely be back to stay here. My only advice to guests who are not from the area, the ferry can have long wait times if you plan on going off the island. Wasn’t a huge deal, but we did push our dinner back an hour and half one evening.

Great Extended Family Stay

This property is perfect for our extended family. Rain or shine it works fine for our preschool and early elementary school grandkids. There are lots of places for everyone to gather, as well as get away for quiet time. It’s also fun to go wine tasting nearby.

Perfect space for a retreat!

We hosted a yoga retreat at Langley Retreat Center. We all loved our stay, and our guests said their rooms were beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. They enjoyed their stay and the retreat, and asked us to host another one here. As hosts of this retreat, we only had positive experiences. Lara and her team made sure everything we needed was ready for us. She had all the yoga props we needed prepared. There is a beautiful space for 12 people to practice yoga. She answered all our questions in a timely manner. We will definitely be booking this beautiful home and retreat center again.

Lovely Retreat for Relaxation

We enjoyed our stay at the Langley Retreat Center. We felt so at home - maybe even more rested and restored. The home was clean, fully stocked in the kitchen and living room, including yoga props. Some guests enjoyed the baby grand piano too. The rooms/beds were very comfortable. Excellent location close to the center of town and island exploration. We plan to rebook for another retreat weekend.

Great Place

A wonderful place for friends or family. Each bedroom is nicely furnished and has an in-suite bathroom. The kitchen is huge and has everything needed for any sized group. Deer were on the property eating fruit from the trees every day.

Great property for large family gathering

The property and location were perfect for our extended family's stay for our daughter's wedding. We spent almost all our time in the kitchen or on that fabulous patio. We grilled a couple evenings including the last night when 25 straggler guests and family members joined us for one last celebration. Everyone loved all the wild life - lots of deer (including a buck) and raccoon! We enjoyed badminton and corn hole. It was great having such a large house and big bedrooms - people were able to escape and get much needed sleep and naps as fit their schedules. It's a great spot - thanks again for all your work to make us feel welcome!"

Extraordinary Experience !!!

We gathered extended family at this gorgeous property. It is hard for me to describe how perfect it was for our family. There is lots of beautifully designed space which allows a larger group to spread out but then there is a central area with a simply glorious kitchen (truly unreal), a huge beautiful table for all to gather and then outdoor space to spread out in. The kitchen is beautifully equipped and easy to use and the outdoor space has a huge grill and more tables. We loved the fire pit at night. I could go on and on. Suffice it to say that we have stayed in many properties over many years and this is the best of all. The property owner and manager were also extraordinary in their help and responsiveness. Many thanks for a fabulous stay!!!

Tacoma Qigong Getaway

Our four day stay with ten friends was nothing short of spectacular in this lovely home. The owner and manager were so easy to communicate with, checking often to make sure we had everything we needed. The bedrooms were large with very comfy beds...the best sleep I've had in a long while. The kitchen was well-stocked with several gourmet meals prepared by our chef friend. Lots of room to sit in the evening altogether and read. So lucky to have found this home!

Great for Group Travel!

What a wonderful property! The private bedrooms plus the shared spaces made our 11 person group vacation so enjoyable. We loved having the instruments to play, the piano itself brought hours of joy! These were the most comfortable beds and bedding that any of our group has encountered in a hotel or B&B. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

A Fairytale Estate

This property is exquisite! The home itself boasting beautiful suites most would be unaccustomed to experiencing, and every room leaves you feeling like you are living a fairytale. Lara and Jennifer were also exceptional. Both treated us like family with an attention to detail like no other. We will always remember our fabulous stay at Langley Retreat and look forward to visiting again in the future. Quite frankly, it was the nicest place we have ever enjoyed.

Yoga Retreat

The Langley Retreat was absolutely perfect to host a Yoga retreat. All the bedrooms were wonderful and the kitchen was magnificent. I had a private cook for the event and she exclaimed the kitchen was perfect. The grounds are spacious and there was plenty of room for the participants to gather and also have their own space. I would highly recommend the Langley Retreat house.

Sprawling lodge, perfect for 3 generations mvv

Fabulous time at Langley Retreat for our 3 generation celebration of grandma’s birthday. All really didn’t want to leave the property! Highlights included the old-fashioned kitchen with an industrial stove and plenty of space for sous-chefs to chop veggies and create homemade desserts with blackberries picked on island. The L-O-N-G farmers table in the adjoining dining area graciously accommodated not only family meals but also children coloring and playing games at the other end. Most of the time though, the children happily remained in the play room where there were more toys and games than they possibly could tackle….and so much space outside for them to run around and create their own games. The 5 and 7 year-old grandkids loved the deer standing on hind legs to reach fruit in the trees. The bunnies were a hit with our 2 year-old. The fire pit was fun for campfires and s’mores, thanks to the kit graciously left by Lara, the property owner (who left also a fishing rod for our grandson - I had mentioned that he liked to fish). There is a veranda or loggia, a lovely place to sit and relax, even if it started to sprinkle. At the end of the week, the children were still discovering new nooks and crannies in the lodge; one 5 year-old tucked herself behind the stairs to play a guitar and serenade us with original music. The lodge was a perfect vacation choice place for hide and seek, both indoors and outdoors.
