The Langley Retreat at the historic CRAWFORD HOUSE lies in a secluded nature setting on glorious Whidbey Island in Washington State. Enveloped in three acres including a quarter acre pond with a wide variety of trees and local wildlife, the property sits within walking distance of the charming seaside village of Langley.

The sprawling 6000 sq ft property has a unique feel of immense warmth with private bathrooms and fireplaces in the majority of bedrooms, a great room for gathering including a fireplace and grand piano, a small 2nd kitchen with fireplace, a great hall for gathering with bar and a 14 person table and large old-world chef's kitchen. The kids lounge has games, foosball and tv to keep little ones occupied!

6 spacious bed/bath on one wing and a private caretaker suite and kids quarters/overflow sleeping nooks on the other wing which can be added to your booking for larger groups!

Note: majority of beds are for double occupancy (King beds) but some smaller beds are available.

* Private bathrooms and propane fireplaces in every one of the 6 main bedrooms
* 2 king-size suites with private decks and corner Jacuzzi bathtubs that can fit two people!
* Large outdoor space, including a 500 sq ft wisteria covered outdoor patio right off the kitchen, lawn, fruit trees, and pond.
* Second bistro-style kitchen and cafe-style area for making simple meals or sitting around yet another cozy fireplace!

Langley Retreat @ Crawford House is the perfect location for hosting retreats, family reunions and romantic getaways. Can do small groups for retreats as well. But NOT a party house or a house that can host weddings. Parties are disruptive and alert the neighborhood, which will forfeit deposit.

it was a wonderful reunion of friends who we have been together for many many years and it was just a perfect place to host the gathering. The host were very gracious and the place was immaculate and had everything available for us to use. It made it for a very magical weekend.

A fabulous property for larger groups. We were a group of seven on a writer’s retreat. Each had her own bedroom with en-suite bathroom. There were lots of areas inside and out set up for larger groups: seating areas, oversized tables, huge kitchen with 10 burner gas stove, lovely bedding and comfortable mattresses. Lovely grounds. Just a delightful property.

This property was perfect for our large family. Spacious bedrooms and gorgeous bathrooms. Large kitchen with plenty of dishes. Lovely indoor and outdoor spaces to gather. Kids loved their private corner of the house. We could not have been happier and we are already looking forward to our next stay.

Amazing venue for a women’s retreat

Our yoga retreat group loved our star at Lara’s place. The property is gorgeous and perfect for large groups. Communication with the host was very easy throughout our stay. The place felt like home!

We'll be back!

This was our third stay at Crawford House, so the fact that we have chosen multiple times it as a place to vacation with our adult kids and grandkids says a lot. It is lovely and spacious with a nice kitchen and comfortable pretty bedrooms. Our grandkids love the big yard (which is stunningly beautiful) and playset. We enjoy the big table that we can eat on one end of while doing a huge jigsaw puzzle on the other end. We had fun going wine and mead tasting, visiting the park, and trying out local restaurants in the area, as well. It was a wonderfully relaxing weekend, and the owner and manager are both friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come back.

All 17 of us so much enjoyed all the many amenities to the property . Kids even stayed off their devices for much of the time! Great gathering :everyone said how much they will treasure our stay .

Wedding weekend stay

My niece planned her wedding on Whidby Island and, at first, we were a bit flustered because of the lack of a traditional 'hotel block' but were fortunate to find your property. It was perfect for our group - giving each couple privacy with a private room and ensuite bathroom. Beds were comfortable and you have the 'best' towels I have ever used in a rental! The main kitchen had everything you might need to cook for a group. Our 4 YO granddaughter was with us and enjoyed the grounds including the play structure. We spent most of our time 'out and about' and found the location perfect for exploring. Having the 4 yo with us we would caution others that there was only one working bathtub and it was a large soaker tub and would not be easy to bathe a younger child. The property manager was very accessible and responsive - although we didn't really have any issues crop up. Would stay here again without question.

Great Extended Family Stay

This property is perfect for our extended family. Rain or shine it works fine for our preschool and early elementary school grandkids. There are lots of places for everyone to gather, as well as get away for quiet time. It’s also fun to go wine tasting nearby.

Yoga with friends!

Eight middle school teachers got away from me he madness of the world for a fabulous weekend of yoga, homemade food, and lots of laughs! We loved each having our own private room and bathroom. We’ll be back!

Whidbey Wonderland

We were thrilled with the Langley Retreat for our family gathering. Plenty of room and a bed for everyone. Having 2 kitchens was a real bonus and the wisteria covered patio space was lovely and accommodated our large family. I highly recommend the Retreat for families and larger groups.

Great Place

A wonderful place for friends or family. Each bedroom is nicely furnished and has an in-suite bathroom. The kitchen is huge and has everything needed for any sized group. Deer were on the property eating fruit from the trees every day.

Great for Group Travel!

What a wonderful property! The private bedrooms plus the shared spaces made our 11 person group vacation so enjoyable. We loved having the instruments to play, the piano itself brought hours of joy! These were the most comfortable beds and bedding that any of our group has encountered in a hotel or B&B. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Lovely Retreat for Relaxation

We enjoyed our stay at the Langley Retreat Center. We felt so at home - maybe even more rested and restored. The home was clean, fully stocked in the kitchen and living room, including yoga props. Some guests enjoyed the baby grand piano too. The rooms/beds were very comfortable. Excellent location close to the center of town and island exploration. We plan to rebook for another retreat weekend.

Perfect Place for Large Gathering

A group of old college roommates with our partners and newborns spent the weekend here and had a great time. Spacious, great bedrooms. We hired a private chef, who cooked a couple meals in the kitchen, which was large enough to comfortably handle the large meals. Backyard is great for lawn games. And Lara and Jennifer were communicative and very helpful. Would definitely recommend renting.

50th anniversary trip

I booked this house over a year ago to celebrate with our entire family and it was fabulous! From the coffee beans to the bottle of wine and fresh strawberries they left us on arrival to the special treats that the manager Jennifer brought us for movie night and back yard smores. Jennifer even ran over with a scale one night so we could make sure 2 of the kids weighed enough for the zipline tour they wanted to do. Lara was a delight to work with and I would stay here anytime again. Thanks so much for all you did to make the trip special.

Tacoma Qigong Getaway

Our four day stay with ten friends was nothing short of spectacular in this lovely home. The owner and manager were so easy to communicate with, checking often to make sure we had everything we needed. The bedrooms were large with very comfy beds...the best sleep I've had in a long while. The kitchen was well-stocked with several gourmet meals prepared by our chef friend. Lots of room to sit in the evening altogether and read. So lucky to have found this home!

Perfect space for a retreat!

We hosted a yoga retreat at Langley Retreat Center. We all loved our stay, and our guests said their rooms were beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. They enjoyed their stay and the retreat, and asked us to host another one here. As hosts of this retreat, we only had positive experiences. Lara and her team made sure everything we needed was ready for us. She had all the yoga props we needed prepared. There is a beautiful space for 12 people to practice yoga. She answered all our questions in a timely manner. We will definitely be booking this beautiful home and retreat center again.

Great property for large family gathering

The property and location were perfect for our extended family's stay for our daughter's wedding. We spent almost all our time in the kitchen or on that fabulous patio. We grilled a couple evenings including the last night when 25 straggler guests and family members joined us for one last celebration. Everyone loved all the wild life - lots of deer (including a buck) and raccoon! We enjoyed badminton and corn hole. It was great having such a large house and big bedrooms - people were able to escape and get much needed sleep and naps as fit their schedules. It's a great spot - thanks again for all your work to make us feel welcome!"

Wonderful space for multiple families

We loved our stay! After two years of solo trips we travelled with two other families and stayed here for a week for the Fourth of July. The house has so much space for everyone to spread out, a giant kitchen, a private and comfortable outdoor space, and plenty of bathrooms. We loved the kids play area, the tadpoles in the ponds, the proximity to Langley, and the covered back porch. The house has character and has some pieces that may be tempting for smaller kiddos (harp, antiques), but ours were so happy to run around with friends that they stayed distracted. The rooms were quiet and we didn’t hear each other at night, plus all of the rooms are away from the play area and kitchen which helped with early morning wake ups. We would definitely like to come back!
