The first floor has an open concept and includes a spacious kitchen, dining area, and a welcoming living area with a high cathedral ceiling and a fireplace. Cozy up and read by the fire, watch TV, or play some board games. As the sun sets, enjoy a relaxing soak in an oversized whirlpool tub and then retire to one of the four bedrooms upstairs.

The house was plenty large enough for our group of 4. Kitchen is well stocked (host even dropped of some fresh baked sourdough bread). Very clean, nice heated kitchen and bathroom floors (heated toilet seat too). The beds we used did sink a bit towards the middle, but otherwise comfy, soft sheets, plenty of blankets. It’s in the national forest, easily drive to nearby towns for restaurants and shopping. Hikes are easy to find. Overall we would recommend

Very impressed with the cleansiness of this house, very clean and Comfortable. Everything we needed to preparing meals,to doing laundry was there. Including a freshly baked sourdough bread which was delicious.

Wonderful, clean stay!

Property was very clean and just as described. In the listing there isnt pictures of the outside but there is a yard and furniture in case anyone is wondering like i was! The rooms are big & the beds are comfortable. The sourdough was an excellent touch & delicious!

Perfect ADK stay

This home was so beautiful & cozy, perfectly located in Otter Lake, and the host was so accommodating and communicated clearly. Highly recommend! We loved the game selection, fireplace, and homemade sourdough bread.

The accommodations are wonderful. Very comfortable. Beds are so comfortable. Bathroom is fantastic. Heated kitchen floor was a plus in the morning. Owners found out it was our 15th wedding anniversary and brought us bouqet of flowers. Very nice. Oh and the loaf of sour dough cheese bread... delicious. Our annual trip up to ADK hasn't been on the busy Rt 28. Though not a huge deal. We did hear the traffic we weren't used to.

Winter weekend getaway

We found the place very comfortable and cozy! It is about a 10 minute drive to old forge which is so convenient to skiing and hiking. We visit the area frequently and are fortunate to find this place which had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the layout of the house is spacious and inviting. Adirondack getaway

My husband and I enjoyed a 2-day get-away in Otter Lake/Old Forge for our anniversary. Derrick's house was warm and cozy, with charming Adirondack-style decore. It was exactly as described in the VRBO listing, including the wonderful home-made bread! Everything was clean and comfortable, with plenty of entertainment options and a book of recommendations for things to do and restaurants in the area. Thank you, Derrick. Memorable family vacation

Six of us recently stayed for a three day family getaway. The inside of the house was beautifully decorated in a cozy Adirondack theme. Everything including the spacious kitchen and the one and a half baths were sparkling clean. Our host Derrick was wonderful! his communication was excellent and was readily available when we called with a question. A delicious loaf of homemade bread was on the counter when we arrived which was a very thoughtful touch. We brought two of our own kayaks but there were another two available to use in the shed so we were able to kayak as a family. Lake entrance, hiking paths and a great little gift shop are just down the road. Old Forge is only a 15 minute drive away. It was a memorable family vacation! Highly recommend!

Very impressed with how clean it was. Access to the lake was close by. The water was beautiful! Close to Old Forge and without the traffic. Route 28 is extremely busy and noisy but that’s not the owners fault. The house was equipped with everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable. Derrick also made sourdough bread for his guests, which was a welcoming touch. We would definitely stay in his house again!

Great get away with a home away from home feel.

Pleasant stay in the hillls

We had a great time. Very relaxed, mostly drank and had a fire rolling in the backyard and a lot of conversation. Rained a little the next day so we watched a little TV and then later when it cleared up we hung outside again by the fire. Fun relaxing trip at a nice home

Long weekend

This cabin is so clean and very nice on the inside. It is located close to everything. Our host even left us a loaf of fresh bread which was such a nice touch. It’s so well done and everything is lovely. Quiet and peaceful. CLEAN- as in spotlessly clean. My only complaint was the beds. The beds are not comfortable at all and slope to a big depression in the middle. I absolutely loved this cabin except for the beds.

The two back bedrooms upstairs are accessible via the front bedrooms, so the house is better suited for two families with children or close friends.
- The driveway cannot accommodate snowmobile trailers.
-Kitchen and bathroom feature a heated tile floor.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the whole property except for the garage, basement, and one owner's closet.
Guests will have access to three kayaks and three bicycles.
