Communication with the host was absolutely terrible. We did not receive check-in information until the afternoon on the day of our arrival & check-in. We attempted to contact the host multiple times to request this information a reasonable number of days before our arrival (2-3 days is normal), but they were entirely non-responsive until we brought it to VRBO’s attention. After finally receiving the check-in information the afternoon of our arrival the host attempted to change our check-in time from the listed and confirmed check-in time to one hour later which complicated our travel plans.The apartment itself was great and in an excellent location with a beautiful view of the river. The rooms were large and well arranged & furnished. There was no air conditioning and there were no fans (important during the recent heatwave). Otherwise, this is a very nice property. That being said, we would never stay here again due to the very poor communication with the host; we were starting to look at hotels for a last-minute booking as we thought the host was never going to provide us with the check-in information.
