Welcome to this beautiful, modern family home built in 2014, featuring vaulted ceilings, spacious rooms, and thoughtful amenities.

Main Floor:

*Master bedroom with a 2022 King Casper Mattress, en-suite bathroom, Smart TV, and walk-in closet.
*Large family room with a 55" Smart TV and a unique selfie wall, perfect for capturing memories.
*Dining area (games available in the dining closet).
*Spacious, fully equipped modern kitchen.
*Full hallway bathroom.
*Two additional bedrooms: one with a queen bed, the other with a bunk bed (twin on top, full on the bottom, plus a twin trundle).
*Full size newer washer & dryer for your use.

Lower Level:

*Second family room with another 55" Smart TV, large sectional sofa and a dedicated workspace.
*Additional bedroom with a queen bed.
*Full bathroom.
*Attached oversized two-car garage.

Location & Activities: Nestled in one of Rapid City's most family-friendly neighborhoods, this home provides easy access to the best of the Black Hills region. Within an hour, you can reach iconic spots like Sturgis, Mt. Rushmore, Deadwood, Spearfish Canyon, Badlands National Park, Custer State Park, Hot Springs, and Wind Cave National Park. Local hiking and walking trails are right in your backyard, and you'll be just minutes from Rushmore Mall and downtown Rapid City.

Additional Features:

*Dedicated vacation property, fully furnished as of January 2022.
*Large 0.29-acre lot.
*Kids park, dog park and hiking all within the neighborhood.

PLEASE NOTE the driveway is STEEP. For easier access, drive up at a slight angle, shift to a lower gear, and park on the west side of the garage (which has a gentler incline). Ample street parking is also available. The driveway is not recommended for lowered vehicles or when icy.

Winter Rates: Enjoy significantly discounted winter rates. Snow removal is not included, but salt, a broom, and shovels are provided in the garage for your convenience. For reference, a Nissan Sentra had no issues with the west-side garage door during January 2023 without scraping.

Clean & Close by

The property was well taken care of and had all of the necessities we needed. Easy to get back into Rapid as well. The properties only downfall is the steep driveway. It is clearly communicated in the listing so we knew going into it and were able to adapt accordingly.

Location & Comfort Perfect Stay

We had a great time staying here in April. We were looking for a home in the Rapid City area to use as home base for day trips into the black hills, badlands, & surrounding areas. We selected this home based on reviews, location & cost. My wife & I visited this area 4 years ago & this time brought my in-laws, to check some places off their bucket list. Renting this home was cheaper than two hotel rooms. The house was very spacious & comfortable and had room for more people. The benefit of having a VRBO home like this one, was having time together hanging out as a family. We ate breakfast together & enjoyed playing games & planning our next day adventure during the evening. We took funny pictures on the selfie background /wall in the house. Drawers in the kitchen / bathroom area were labeled and made things convenient. There are blow dryers in all bathrooms (not described) which was nice & plenty of toilet paper. Another benefit of this home was having a washer & dryer machine. I prepared for the steep driveway & the potential for snow. I rented a higher profile SUV (dodge durango) & had no issues driving into the garage. I did have to use the snow shovel (provided) one morning to clear the driveway of snow. I also took the trash & recycling bins down & back up the driveway for trash day (Tuesday). I’m age 51 & wore my hiking shoes both times & had no issues. Not sure my wife or in-laws could do this so please prepare. We would definitely rent this beautiful home again.

Good location

My family and I were staying for a tournament in town. It was convenient to get to all the areas we needed. Good space for kids to hang out. Had some challenges with the TV, and the host had great communication to assist. Will look to stay here again in the future.

Excellent house

This house was perfect for us! In our party we had 2 seniors, 3 adults and 2 kids under 10 years old. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms (the downstairs area was perfect for our parents where they had their own space - bedroom, bathroom and lounge area). The house was fully stocked which was really nice. It’s also walking distance to a nice playground and a gas station - super convenient. Overall, excellent experience!

Rapid city family reunion

It was the perfect size and layout for us. It had everything we needed. We love that it is pet friendly. The host is super easy to communicate with. This is our second time staying at this property.

Great place!!

We originally booked 2 days and wanted to add another night and found the owner very accommodating and helped us with this short notice on several different requests. The place was great for our stay and really liked having 3 separate bathrooms, the driveway is pretty steep but that was disclosed in listing. It’s easy to get to and close to many great food places also. Would absolutely stay again.

Fantastic House

We loved our stay at this house. The rooms are cozy, clean, and nicely appointed. The kitchen is large and well-stocked. The beds are comfortable and the bedrooms are a great size.It was perfect for our small film crew and talent while filming a documentary in Rapid City.It’s also close to everything, so even in the snow, we were able to easily get to food stores and downtown in our four-wheel drive.

Family Vacation

The hillside house is in the northside of Rapid City on a quiet street. We had quick and easy commutes to downtown, SD Mines campus, and restaurants. The house was spacious and clean. The house had all the cooking supplies we needed to prepare meals. Cupboards were labeled which was convenient. Each floor had a large living room area with a TV and plenty of seating. Communication with the host was great and he responded quickly. I would rent again and would recommend this house to others.

Comfortable Home

This home was great for having family over to visit during our stay. Nice kitchen, well stocked with items you’d expect. Great having the garage to drive into and unpack. Appreciate they allow pets. To bad other renters do not respect the home and always pick up their dogs poo.

Great for younger travelers

We enjoyed our visit and stay in Rapid City. The house was well supplied for our needs and the owner was very responsive to our messages. The driveway really is steep as are the steps to the house. The beds were comfy!

House was great and clean. Neighborhood is in a nice area. We appreciated returning to this house after visiting Rapid City and surrounding areas to look for relocation possibilities. Dogs liked their walks through the nearby park, too.

Nice Rental

Very nice rental close to a lot in Rapid City. Driveway was super steep, but wasnt a problem since you can park on the road. Really enjoyed the house and would recommend people to stay there.

Great center for family

Our three family units stayed comfortably in the house. The picture wall was good for much entertainment for the kids! Everything was clean and as pictured. The kitchen is decently well appointed with useful small appliances and plenty of dishes. Lovely home base in a good-enough location.

S Dakota stay

Enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and accommodating for our 7 member family group. We ate a lot of our meals there and found the kitchen to be well equipped and dining area large enough for all of us to eat together and play games later. Easy check in and out procedures were appreciated. The only minor drawback is there are a lot of steps to the front door which was a pain when carrying luggage and groceries. The young ones had no problem with it but not as easy for us old ones! lol! Overall I would recommend!

Stay was pretty good

Master bath drain was slow draining. Master bath lights were VERY dim, need brighter lights. Hall light with washer & dryer did not work. Garbage disposal did not work at all. Did not like the driveway at all! Too steep.

Excellent Stay

This was one of the cleanest best organized properties that we have ever stayed at. It was clean. It was easy to find stuff in the kitchen. Everything was labeled. It was a great location, nearby gas station, convenient store liquor store. Everything about this place says come stay here and enjoy South Dakota.

Always a good place to stay

Our second time here and always clean and well maintained. Could use a few new light bulbs, but otherwise great! Lots of room and good location. The driveway is definitely steep, but it’s doable as long as your car isn’t really low.
