Discover a spacious family getaway at this Lake Junaluska retreat, less than half a mile from the water. You'll love the huge front porch, perfect for morning coffee or after-dinner drinks. Community amenities include a shared outdoor pool and tennis.

Everyone can easily spread out and unwind. Head inside to the first floor, which serves as the social heart of the home. Here, new flooring adds to the pristine environment. Kick back and get cozy in the living area. A large dining room lies adjacent to the well-equipped full kitchen, featuring everything you need to whip up family favorites. This floor also features new bedding for added comfort. Upstairs, you'll find a den, which provides more room to relax and unwind. Extra perks include a washer/dryer, free WiFi, and central air-conditioning.

Plenty of room

The house is an old house but it is clean and pretty well maintained. If you have a large group it is perfect. Plenty of dining space, bedrooms, and bathrooms.

Good size - but not clean and needs attention

The number of beds and proximity to the conference center is what drew our large group to the house. I knew the reviews were iffy. When we arrived, there were termites in one of the bedrooms. I reported it to management on day one, but no one came through our 5 days to attend to the issue. Multiple rooms had ants and I saw a few cockroaches in the kitchen. No beds had mattress protectors - yuck! So windows had curtains, most had blinds, but the lights from the streets did came through the window. I reported the bed spreads were dirty and asked for additional detergent so I could wash them - I was denied that request. I purchased bug spray and laundry detergent. These are basic things I’m very disappointed the property managers did not address or attempt to accommodate. The lock code is 10 digits, but you only have a few short seconds to enter in all the numbers. Very frustrating to feel locked out of the property when you’re not fast enough to get the code in. A 4-5 digit code would be an easy fix. I would not return to the property or recommend my friends stay there. A little TLC and updates are needed there. Also, the kitchen floor has significant water damage and the floors are uneven from it. No doubt the

Family Time

The property is great for a large group. The front porch, many bedrooms and bathrooms and large dining room make it the perfect space for a lot of people. The dishwasher and washing machine are rather old. The both take multiple hours to complete a single cycle and the dishwasher does not clean the dishes. (We ended up washing everything by hand and using the dishwasher as a drying rack). While there one of the downstairs bathroom ceilings had a couple of tiles fall due to a substantial water leak in the bathroom above it. It took several hours for the maintenance on call to respond. After cleaning up the mess, he suggested he replace the ceiling tile and that we not utilize the two affected bathrooms because he didn’t have time to fix the leak.

Great space for a large family

Second time we’ve stayed there for a family event and the house works very well for us. It’s not fancy but it is clean and functional and very economical. Great outdoor space for games on the grass and hanging out on the porch. Our only feedback would be to provide more outdoor chairs as there are only 7 and the house sleeps 16. We recommend and we’ll probably be back again!

Comfortable Large Home with Character

A group from our office spent 2 nights here for an annual holiday retreat together. We loved this unique home, and its 9 bedrooms was just the size we needed. The home was extremely clean and was furnished with all of the basic supplies. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals, and the large dining area enabled our whole team and spouses to eat together comfortably. It was a chilly weekend but the front porch is beautiful and inviting. The location is easy to access and there is adequate parking. The ad should be updated to remove the fireplace as that has been covered, and more dining room chairs would better accommodate the large groups that can comfortably stay in this home. We will definitely consider this property in the future.

Good youth retreat place.

Our family has rented this place twice since it's one of the few places that will accommodate all of us in one place. Actually more house than we need but room for the grandkids to run around & not worry about breaking anything. The large eating area is perfect for meals and other family activities. This house is very dated as far as the bathroom facilities and kitchen. Only one upstairs bath has a shower, otherwise claw tubs. No TV or radio in the bedrooms. Great for youth retreats or a group needing just the basics - no frills. Love the large porch with rockers for relaxing!

Well loved older home for large group

Older home with large kitchen and dining area for group. Several small bedrooms allow for all to have their own privacy. Quaint quirky bathrooms are functional and clean. We took a church leadership team for a retreat and had tons of fun playing games, cooking and connecting.

Great large group space

We stayed here for a church retreat. This home serves great as a house for large family get-together or retreat. It is well appointed and has all items you need with the exception of glassware. Plenty of place settings and coffee mugs for large groups, but glassware was lacking in comparison (just bring disposable). House does show its age a little, but is clean and comfortable. There are plenty of linens, and a great outside area with short walk to the lake. Make sure you keep door code on you at all times when you exit the home. You do have to go up stairs to enter the home, so be aware of that for mobility purposes. I will book this place again for a retreat.

Good size for our family gathering. Needs some work on doors and windows - all leak significantly, and height of commodes are very low to the floor and difficult for older adults. The dining area was a very nice gathering spot with seating for our entire family.

There's a lot of beds but that's it! Only one small TV in the livingroom, most bathroom doors don't lock, bad flooring, no decor and with no hot tub, games, etc. makes a long couple days!

Great gathering place

Although this property is well-loved, it is the perfect place for a gathering of friends who like to be together for meals, conversation and rest. The kitchen accommodates many cooks, there is setting in the dining room for 16 and the living room is comfortable. The bath rooms a re a bit quirky, yet they provide what is needed. Beautiful porch. Lovely setting.
