Cozy cabin on the river, but in the center of town.

The location for the cabin could not be beat. The back windows look out on a peaceful creek providing a great place to come back to each evening to relax. It had its own parking spot for one car which was very helpful given its wonderful location in downtown Canmore. Its walkable to all the best spots and is just around the corner from the grocery store making this both a fun and convenient home base for your stay. Would recommend this spot to anyone who asks.

Dear Tyler, thank you so much for your kind and detailed review. We’re thrilled to know that the cabin provided a peaceful and convenient home base for your time in Canmore. The combination of a central location and a serene natural backdrop is something we feel makes this space truly special, and it’s wonderful to hear that it contributed to a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We’re also glad you found the private parking space helpful—especially in such a walkable and vibrant area. Making our guests’ experience as smooth and comfortable as possible, from arrival to departure, is always our priority. Thank you again for sharing your experience and for recommending us so warmly. Should your travels bring you back to Canmore, we’d be delighted to welcome you again!

Wonderful property!!

This property was gorgeous. So much better than any hotel we have stayed in. It felt cozy and warm when the temperature outside was between -26 and -33. It was a warm and cozy welcome every-time we walked through the door. The canin had everything we needed to prepare meals and was so close to downtown for shopping and dining when we wanted to go out. The view from every window was breathtaking. We skied two days and found this location to be perfectly convenient. We hope we get to visit again soo.n.

5 night stay in Canmore

Lovely cabin style accommodation with beautiful views over the creek. You feel away from it all, even though the cabin is right in the centre of beautiful Canmore. It was the perfect size for our family of four adults. The kitchen is small but well equipped for making breakfast and light meals. There is no dishwasher or washing machine but we were fine with that. We much preferred Canmore over Banff. The latter was overcrowded with visitors, while Canmore has a much more relaxed feel and is set in even more stunning scenery.

Cozy Creekside Cottage

The view from the cottage was stunning and I miss it already. We saw a doe and fawn in the creek on our first day. Aside from the view, the place was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans and dishes. It's close to downtown restaurants, but very quiet aside from the train that runs through the middle of town. No place in Canmore can avoid the train completely, but the windows were dual (triple?) pane and kept the train noise to a minimum. I hardly noticed it! There were only two very small downsides to the place: 1. There is absolutely nowhere to sit outside. 2. There is no laundry which would have been nice after hiking the trails in Banff.

Great Location/Great House

This is a granny apartment off a larger home. The home is right on the river and the house has big windows and you seem in the middle of nowhere when you are in the house. The backyard and river are off limits to renters, but given the view out the back this is not really an issue. There is a small driveway/court yard in the front where you could put a table and chairs, but it is quite small. The kitchen is fully equipped and quite small and we used it for making dinner. There are only two chairs in the kitchen at the bar, but there were folding chairs and we used those. The bigger bedroom has a queen size bed and a very large pull out couch, that can easily sleep 4. We also watched TV in this room. The other bedroom is smaller but a fine size. The bathroom was clean and very functional. The location is amazing - right on the river and walking path and right in the middle of downtown. There is a coffee/tea place a block away and a variety of restaurants. The park is 10 minutes away and banff is 20. Lots of outdoor stores in Canmore and rentals. We rented standup paddle boards and I did mountain biking at the Canmore Nordic center. We had a great time.

Dear Benjamin, we extend our gratitude for taking the time to share your experience following your recent stay at our apartment. It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the serene riverside location of the house, with its expansive windows creating a sense of tranquility. Your understanding of the backyard and river access is appreciated, considering the captivating view from within the house. We are glad that you found the kitchen well-equipped for your needs, even though it's on the smaller side. Your resourcefulness in using the folding chairs to accommodate seating in the kitchen is duly noted. It's great to learn that both bedrooms met your requirements, with the larger one offering a comfortable sleeping arrangement and an additional TV-watching space. The functional bathroom is also highlighted, and we're pleased it met your expectations. We're thrilled that the exceptional location of the property provided you with convenient access to downtown amenities, including dining options and nearby attractions. It's fantastic that you were able to explore outdoor activities like standup paddle boarding and mountain biking in the picturesque surroundings. We truly value your patronage and hope to welcome you back for another memorable stay in the future. Warm regards, Your Gordon Property Management Team

Worked for a 2 night stay

The cabin was cute and tastefully decorated. The location is amazing. A short walk to all the restaurants and shops but just far enough away from the hustle and noise. You don’t get any access to the outdoor space which is disappointing because it sits right on a small creek. We would have loved to have coffee each morning by the water. We actually like to cook most of our own meals when we travel. The kitchen could have been a little more well appointed but for the average renter I’m sure it is suitable. The cabin was clean minus cobwebs in the light fixtures, skylights and vaulted ceiling above the breakfast bar (noticed because there were dead bugs hanging in the cobweb). The main bed and pillows were comfortable (or we were just exhausted after long days of hiking!) The door into the cabin can be tricky. You need to pull the knob/door tight in order for it to unlock. This should probably be disclosed when you get your door code. We actually had to call because it wasn’t working. Even then, the management company didn’t tell us this. We just figured it out after a couple of tries. We would stay here again.

Dear Jamie, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We're glad to hear that you found the cabin cute and tastefully decorated, and that you enjoyed its amazing location. Being within a short walk to restaurants and shops, yet away from the hustle and noise, is definitely a plus. We apologize for any disappointment regarding the lack of access to the outdoor space by the creek. We understand how enjoyable it would have been to have coffee by the water each morning. We appreciate your feedback on the kitchen as well, and we'll take it into consideration for future improvements. We're sorry to hear about the cobwebs in the light fixtures, skylights, and vaulted ceiling. We strive to provide a clean and comfortable environment for our guests, and we apologize for any oversight in this regard. We'll make sure to address this issue with our cleaning team. Thank you for bringing the door issue to our attention. We apologize for any inconvenience it caused during your stay. We'll work on providing clearer instructions regarding the door code and how to properly unlock it. Your feedback is valuable to us in order to enhance the overall guest experience. We're glad to hear that despite these minor issues, you still had a comfortable stay and would consider staying with us again. We appreciate your understanding and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Best regards, Your Gordon Property Management team

Great location and lovely views but not really suited for 2 couples as the main bedroom is also the sitting room. I would describe this as a hotel room with a kitchenette and an added bedroom, not a 2 bedroom cabin. The kitchenette is not fully equipped. No dishwasher and little bench space. Only 2 bar stools in kitchen. No washing facilities. We enjoyed our stay due to location and comfortable beds but misleading descriptions. Priced too high for what it is.

The suite was clean and communication with the host was good. However, there were several aspects of the stay that did not meet our expectations based on the listing. The property was difficult to locate on arrival, and both visitors and a delivery driver had trouble finding the correct address. The primary bedroom also felt noticeably darker and smaller in person than it appeared in the listing photos. We had booked the suite in part for our daughter to get ready for her wedding, so the limited natural light was disappointing. We also did not have the mountain views shown in the listing photos, as the view is currently blocked by trees across the creek. In addition, we experienced a few maintenance and amenity issues, including inconsistent hot water at the bathroom sink and a non-functioning soap dispenser. Most of the furnishings and kitchen felt more basic than expected for the price point. While the suite may be well suited to travelers accustomed to more compact or basic accommodations, it was not the right fit for our needs, and we would choose different accommodations in the future.
