We are located directly across the road from Pipestem State Park where you can enjoy Ziplining,hiking, Horse Back riding, and more. kayaks (take them to spend the day at bluestone lake only a 13 minute drive).This property is also very close to one of the few remaining Drive InTheaters .Winterplace is only 30 miles away. Community pool-seasonal . Pet friendly-with pet fee. Come stay in a log cabin!

Our cabin has one of the largest yards in the neighborhood. We are pet friendly please just message us letting us know you have a pet coming with you so we can approve them for your stay and send you the pet fee. We love all dogs, however we do ask that you ask our permission prior to booking and pay the dog fee.

The main level features a living room, Vaulted ceilings, Bear decor throughout the cozy cabin, flat screen TV in the living room, brand new queen size sleeper sofa, recliner, child’s rocking chair, and toys/ books for children.

The bedroom features a brand new plush pillow top queen size mattress , tv, nightstand, bear lamp, and chest of drawers in the closet. The closet also has extra blankets, pillows for the sleeper sofa, a large comforter for the sleeper sofa, and extra sheets. There is also hangers in the closet. You will also find an iron and iron board if needed.

There is also fully equipped kitchen and dining table, full bathroom/shower/ tub, and washer/dryer. We have a new Keruig that takes pods and will take ground coffee. We provide coffee pods and seasonal pods in the drawer below the Keurig.

The deck features a 2 person hot tub and outdoor patio seating area. During the evening you may see deer crossing through the yard. In the morning, you will hear the birds singing. Enjoy a cup of coffee from the deck and watch the sunrise.

The yard is very large for children to run around, dogs to play, and adults to play corn hole! The corn hole boards are in the shed. There is also a picnic table and grill around back!

Take a walk around the neighborhood. It is very safe to walk, ride your bike, go for a jog with your dog.

Our stay at Bear Claw Cove in Pipestem, WV was excellent. The cabin was very clean, had spacious parking, and the hot tub and fire pit were perfect touches. You can tell the owner put a lot of love into the cozy bear-themed decor. I loved that they were pet friendly! Our dog loved it. The location is fantastic with beautiful mountain scenery and plenty to do nearby including golf, the mountain coaster, trap shooting, zip lining, and even kayaks provided by the host. The place exceeded our expectations and we’d definitely stay again.

Reasonably close drive to WinterPlace. We had a blast tubing and snowboarding and it was nice to come home to a relaxing hot tub and clean and welcoming cabin to get a good nights rest. Would definitely stay here again!

Very clean and had everything we needed. Couch could use an upgrade. It was very uncomfortable and sunken in. It was a pull out bed so that may be the reason. Very friendly area and quiet. Super thankful we could bring our dog with us. Hot tub was very clean and nice. Loved the area very beautiful. Thank you for the nice safe home that you aloud us to rent for a few days.

We loved staying at this cabin! It was extremely cozy and had the cutest fall and Halloween decorations throughout. The hot tub was amazing and it was so nice to enjoy the views, especially the changing of the leaves. My boyfriend and I also loved that this place was right across from the street from Pipestem Resort State Park. We had such a wonderful time and hopefully will be back soon!!

The property itself was awesome. Hot tub was ready when we arrived, the inside was very cute, and the location was great.What brought down the experience was the dishes/pots/pans and kayaks were dirty when we arrived, and the owner’s response was poor. The biggest issue was a missing kayak paddle. Since these are single person kayaks, one of us would’ve been left behind. I let the owner know right away since kayaking was the whole reason we booked this place, it’s literally in the listing title. I’d actually asked about life jackets when I booked weeks prior, found out none were provided, and bought our own ahead of time, so we came prepared on that front, but there was nothing we could do about a missing paddle.The owner took over 24 hours to respond and basically told us to deal with it. No apology, even after I filed a partial refund with Vrbo. They claimed the paddle was stolen, but still never acknowledged the inconvenience.It’s frustrating because the property advertises kayaking as a feature, but without a full set of paddles, that feature is pretty much useless. I specifically chose this place over cheaper options because of the kayaks, so this was a big letdown. Beautiful property, but I’d think twice given how the owner handled the issue.

Your entire review is based off of being mad over an amenity that is not listed and you tried to get your money back over a $20 kayak paddle . We have since added another paddle but we do not have it listed that they or life jackets are provided because unfortunately those things seem to walk away. We always recommend bringing whatever you need to go along with using the kayaks if you choose to use them . Those are an extra added “bonus” thing we’ve done for guest. Nothing was ever even mentioned about dirty pans so again this review is in retaliation over not receiving a refund .

Great weekend getaway!

Came out this way to go skiing at Winterplace for the weekend. Couldn’t have asked for a cozier cabin stay in the mountains close to the resort. Great host and location, everything we needed was here. Hope to be back again down the road!

Cozy get away

My wife and I had a great time here. Perfect for a relaxing get away and also conveniently distanced from Winterplace when we wanted to go snowboarding. Sitting in the hot tub during a snowstorm was phenomenal.

Amazing place to stay

This place was amazing. The area was nice and quiet. The fact that it's close to almost anything you would need is perfect. The hosts were very accommodating and made sure everything was up to par. It's the perfect mini vacation for us 3.
