On a tiny, car-free island - a true haven of peace between Île de Ré, Île d’Oléron, and Fort Boyard - enjoy absolute tranquility at the end of a private little lane, right in the heart of the village and close to shops, beaches, and the tennis courts. This spacious, bright, fully comfortable home features a fenced garden and an inner courtyard, and is made up of **three separate units**. It’s ideal for **three families with children**, offering as much independence or togetherness as you like. The cherry on top: a **hot outdoor shower**, perfect after the beach… or simply to enjoy under the stars.

### A warm, personal welcome

We’ll meet you as you step off the boat with a trailer for your luggage and guide you to the house, about **200 meters (a short walk)** from the harbor. We’ll share a drink with you, walk you through the home and how everything works, then let you enjoy your stay - while remaining available if you have any questions.

### An exceptional location

The setting is unbeatable: right in the village center, yet wonderfully quiet thanks to the private lane. In just a few steps, you can cross the street to a well-stocked local mini-market open all day. Even last-minute cravings are covered: ice cream, crêpes, fries, a beer, or a glass of wine - Tony and Lucile’s place will welcome you with a smile.

### A small island with endless variety

The island is tiny - you can walk all the way around it in about **1.5 hours** - but it feels different at every turn: Provençal-style coves tucked into evergreen oak woods, Breton-like beaches, rolling fields, seaweed-covered rocks, salt meadows, oyster beds stretching into the distance at low tide, and the old ramparts and moats surrounding the village, topped by an old signal station and lighthouses.

And in the evening, after the last ferry departs and day-trippers are gone, the island becomes peaceful again - the perfect time for long, quiet walks to catch the sunset over the ocean and maybe even spot the famous **green flash**.

### Getting to Île d’Aix

You can reach the island by:

* Inter-island boats or **Navipromer** from **La Rochelle** (just a short walk from the train station), or
* From the mainland at **Pointe de la Fumée** in **Fouras-les-Bains**, leaving your car there and taking one of the two ferries that run the mainland–Île d’Aix route (**about 20 minutes** crossing time).

Two parking options are available on the mainland: one paid lot very close to the dock, and another free lot about a **10-minute walk** away.
