Please see all previous reviews from all 5 years with almost always 5 stars (rarely 4 stars, never less) and an average before this review of 4,9 (!) stars and highly satisfied guests. Of course, the villa is ALWAYS cleaned to the highest standard, which guests even highlight in the reviews. We are private landlord and I, (Michael) work professionally in an area with distinctive quality management systems. I even introduced a cleaning checklist with the respective cleaning protocol for the villa 4 years ago. You can trust us, that everything is fine. There can be no question of old pots and missing dishes. There is a 5-piece WMF pot set bought new in 2021 and a complete 60-piece cutlery set bought new in 2021 from WMF as well. WMF is a premium German brand, very high quality and expensive. In addition, from 2021, completely new white Malacasa Boston 64-piece porcelain crockery set with everything you need. Orthopaedic quality mattresses are also new in 2021 (We swap every 3 years). You may check all this and much more in the description of the villa. You can trust us, that you will find everything as described.. and even more. Such as a real 20 bar espresso machine and Senseo pad machine (both new 2021) and a Bosch filter coffee machine from 2018. The following background, the following “story” happened to us: 1. On Saturday shortly after midnight 0:45 (12:54 am !), we received a message that the guest with 2 small twin babies (!) was urgently looking for accommodation for the same day (!!), i.e. Saturday. (This is documented in the portal's mail system) 2. Of course, we made everything possible (our friend and caretaker Andreas just for this came from a family celebration in Valencia). In fact, we were able to hand over the villa by just before 3 p.m. on Saturday, although the rental contract could only start on Sunday due to the system. 3. In the meantime, at the polite question of the tenant for availability, we had even bought 2 cots and 2 high chairs (new). These arrived shortly afterwards. 4. A written message from the tenant was verbatim / word by word: "Thanks so much for ordering those items for us! And also for having us at the last minute. We love it here. You have a beautiful home" … followed by a smiley. 5. Strange, it was then 1 day later. The tenant wanted to DEPARTURE as soon as possible (!) because the apartment in the tower (3rd bedroom with bed no. 5 and 6), with its own third bathroom and private terrace has SEPARATE access via the main terrace of the house. Remark: Please see, that the additional apartment situation is clearly expressed in the description of the villa and is even very much preferred by guests with parents or older children (like an "own apartment"). This is of course not suitable for small children or babies, but in the main apartment there are 2 large bedrooms right next to each other, each with double beds and their own bathrooms. At this time, there was no mention of any dirt or other missing crockery, only the access to the apartment in the tower was declared as a unbearable problem. 6. The tenant then actually left, she was then billed for exactly 3 overnight stays including the final villa and laundry cleaning and on the part of the portal the contractual fees to the portal (which I do not receive). 7. Later, we experience that it was expected to refund much more and with a full refund the tenant also expected to have the fees for the booking portal refunded. Of course we refused. And of course, there was no more talk of reimbursement for the high chairs and the cot. 8. I got my first bad rating. Unfortunately, the law does not allow for deletion, as this rating is a "property" of the tenant .... We have lost money and nerves and now we have to live with a worse average rating. As well, our friend and caretaker Andreas, who sincerely takes care of all guests, was "devastated". The tenant then apparently moved on to the next domicile. The urgent request in the middle of the night now appears to us in a different light. We have heard of similar experiences from other landlords ... but never thought that something like this would happen to us. Of course we don't give up the belief and we will continue to take good and comprehensive care of our guests. Birgit and Michael Strauss
