Pretty farmhouse in the countryside

In the countryside, in a pretty farmhouse with a large garden and an orchard overlooking the river. An ideal place to get together in peace and quiet with family or friends. The accommodation: On the edge of the village, just a 5-minute walk from the center and facing south, our longère (traditional Breton farmhouse) is situated on a one-hectare property in the middle of beautiful green countryside, overlooking the Mayenne River. Our house can accommodate up to 10 people and 3 babies. On the first floor, there is a spacious open-plan kitchen-dining room, a true living space facing south and west, with terracotta tile flooring. It includes a microwave, an extra-large electric oven, a professional 5-burner gas stove, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and all the necessary cooking and baking equipment. A large family freezer is available in a small room next to the kitchen. Beyond the long table that seats 10, you will find a double living room separated by exposed beams. A large fireplace at the far end of the exposed stone wall will keep you warm on cooler evenings. You will also find a recently renovated double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and separate toilet. Upstairs, via the beautiful wooden staircase, weathered by time, you will discover a bedroom with two single beds (which can be pushed together if desired), a bed for a child under 10, and a bed for a child under 5. Overlooking a large bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, equipped with a small desk. On the other side of the landing, a small children's bedroom with a cot adjoins a master bedroom that can accommodate two adults in a large double bed and one adult or child in a single bed. Also on the landing is a recently renovated bathroom, comprising a shower, a bathtub, a double tiled vanity, and a toilet. The house is very well equipped with childcare equipment: high chair, playpen, baby bouncer, baby bath, changing table, not to mention the children's toys that will occupy and stimulate them. Surrounding the house and its outbuildings is a large, centuries-old wooded park. and an orchard (plum, cherry, apple, peach trees...) bordered by a wood and a meadow sloping down to Mayenne.
On the south-facing side of the house, overlooking the kitchen and living room, you will find a large garden table with parasol and barbecue. The swimming pool, children's playhouse, and sandbox are also located in this part of the garden. The house faces a dead-end road with very little traffic, ensuring peace and quiet. Located a 5-minute walk away is the village port. From there, you can access the towpath for walks or bike rides. Pedal boats and canal boats are available for rent by the day for budding sailors. Water skiing is available on the opposite bank. A riverside café with live music in the evenings offers a pleasant way to end your days. Mini-golf and treetop adventure courses are available in the neighboring village. For your convenience, there's a grocery store with a bread counter, a bar/tobacconist, and a tavern (with wood-fired cooking). A greengrocer and a bakery are a 5-minute drive away. For larger shopping trips, a supermarket is a 10-minute drive. The nearest towns are Angers, a 30-minute drive away, and Château-Gontier, 15 minutes away.
