Quiet privacy, sweeping mountain views, and enviable proximity to Asheville fun make Treetop Hideaway a dream retreat! Perched on the side of the mountain, this forested four-bedroom home invites you to escape from the bustle of the city and experience the feeling as if you were living in a treehouse. Enjoy a coveted (and rare!) secluded setting, while only being a five-minute drive from all the amenities downtown - including grocery stores and local restaurants.

Kick back on two private decks and take in the Blue Ridge Mountain views. Make use of the gas grill and enjoy an afternoon cookout. The covered front porch is another inviting spot to enjoy the fresh air.

Gleaming hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows with sweeping views, and a cool contemporary vibe define this serene home. In the main floor living room, take in the gorgeous view from the comfort of two modern chairs and a sectional. Curl up by the gas fireplace and play your favorite tunes on the sound system, or watch a movie on the 65-inch smart TV. Downstairs, the second living room has a gas fireplace and lovely views, as well as a 32-inch TV, full-size sofa, and two chairs. Access the private lower-level deck, which offers seating for two and more beautiful Black Mountain vistas.

Get cooking in the gourmet kitchen featuring sleek granite countertops and stainless steel appliances - including a gas range. Sip coffee at the nook for two, or step out to the expansive private balcony to fully appreciate the stunning vistas of the rolling hills. When its time to eat, gather at the dining room table with seating for eight.

A comfy king bed and a 50-inch smart TV can be found in the primary bedroom. The en suite bathroom is configured with a tub/shower combination and a skylight. The second bedroom holds a king bed. The third bedroom has a queen bed, while the fourth bedroom offers a king bed. A guest bathroom has a tub/shower combination and a half bath adds convenience. Extra perks include a laundry room, cable TV, and central air conditioning for added comfort.

Guests will have access to an Electric Vehicle Charger Plug Outlet (220v).

You'll love being a five-minute drive from Black Mountain's quaint shops and eateries, and 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. This contemporary retreat is also close to the Biltmore Estate, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Lake Lure, and Chimney Rock. Enjoy delectable wood-fired pizza at FRESH in 1.4 miles, or go for a unique fusion of Argentine and French cuisine at La Guinguette. Pub fare with a modern twist awaits at The Trailhead 1.6 miles from your door.

Things to Know
Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. All guests shall abide by our good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. All properties comes with a starter kit to assist you on your first day before having to go out and purchase additional items. This includes: dish sponge, dish soap, dishwasher packet, laundry packet. Bathrooms will have 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors!

Best view of mountains ever!

Awesome stay!!!

Would recommend this property while traveling with a group! It has all the amaneties that are needed to enjoy the stay. The location is convenient for grocery shopping and also about 45min to wolf ski resort. It is a bit tricky to arrive to the property google maps did not take us to the property but iPhone maps did take us directly.

Beautiful Views & Bears

Gorgeous views off of the decks and out the huge windows. We had several occasions when bears walked by the house; absolutely amazing. The accommodations were perfect for our family and conveniently located near downtown Black Mountain restaurants, hiking in Montreat, and close enough to get into Asheville for. Couple excursions. Hope to be back!

Excellent house in the trees!

Excellent house in the trees. The pictures don’t do it justice. Loved the mid century modern style. House was well appointed. Beds were very comfortable. We will definitely go back.

A good value place to stay

A very convenient location. Great deck to view the scenery. Kitchen was excellent with very good appliances, including coffee grinder and new dishwasher. The age of the house was apparent in the creaking floor and musty smell. A/C wasn’t ideal, but certainly good enough. Well worth the rental price.

Everything I had hoped it would be and more

Great location, excellent views, brilliantly stylized to the era of the home. We were 2 couples visiting in June for a long weekend. It was located within 30 min of the things we were interested in. Everything is as advertised, the views were spectacular, the vibe of the home was great. I liked that there were 3 rooms with king sized beds and the deck was the perfect place for our morning coffee. We also grilled out on the deck one evening and took in a spectacular sunset with our dinner. There was more space than we needed and well priced for the amount of people it could accommodate. We arrived in the dark and would recommend a daytime arrival as we took a couple of short wrong turns because we couldn't see anything. Once we had our bearings it was not difficult to find the place, especially with daylight. I have rented with Vacasa before and would definitely do it again.

Hiking and Leaf-Gazing Trip

Four female friends traveled to this property for a hiking/leaf gazing trip. The mudroom at the entrance to the house is very useful. We loved having a bedroom each. There are plenty of towels and blankets. Bathrooms are very adequate. The kitchen is updated and a pleasure to use. The water filter on the kitchen faucet is a very nice feature. The living spaces are roomy and comfortable with gas fireplaces and views that were exactly what we wanted. The decks have the same great views with comfortable seating and provided us a perfect place to have cocktails and enjoy the sunsets. The location is close to multiple hiking trails and the quaint town of Black Mountain. Thank you for such a comfortable home for our trip. We had a great time and will tell all our friends about it. We highly recommend this house!

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Wonderful house with amazing views

This house was everything they promised! It was beautiful and comfortable for our family of 5 adults. The kitchen was very well appointed. Everyone raved about how comfortable the beds were. We hope to be back again.

Wonderful view!!

The view is spectacular! The beds are very comfy. Bathrooms and kitchen are clean. Plenty of room to spread out if needed, but a large table and couch for togetherness. It’s a little challenging to find the first time, but easy after that. Convenient to all in Black Mountain and a short drive to Asheville.

Close proximity to Bear Mountain which I marginally prefer to Asheville (which is about 20 min away, also very close). Warm enough for yoga on the deck and a cookout.The furniture is comfortable and very stylish. We were just two couples and can attest to the comfortable beds for the ensuite upstairs and king ensuite downstairs. Was surprised there were only 4 sets of towels for a week (1 bath towel per person). Dirty sheets and they never came and changed them

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. We were told someone would come change out all of the sheets if we wanted, and of course we said yes. They never came and changed the sheets, and finally on night 3 we laundered the sheets (other guests did as well because who knows if any of the sheets were clean), and the stain came right out. This is awful. We asked for money back and they never responded. They at the very least could have had an extra set of clean king sized sheets in the house and we would have changed them out. Perfect Mountain View
