Welcome to the "Canal House" in Donax Village, a small community modelled after the quaint beach cottages that once lined Sanibel Island. Step back into a simpler time and let your stress and worries fade away on island time.

The "Canal House" does not sit on a canal but is named after a sign we acquired when we were much younger. We have carted that sign as a placeholder of our dream cottage through our moves from the northeast, abroad and now back to the south. It now sits in the perfect location in this cottage. Near the beach, close to restaurants, and across the street from the Donax bike path.

The rooms in the "Canal House" are tastefully furnished for your every vacation need with comfy couches and bedding, television, internet, a fully outfitted kitchen worthy of any chef. As extras, we have included the use of 2 bicycles and 2 bags of golf clubs for your on-island enjoyment. The screened porch overlooks the community amenities: the heated pool, pickle ball courts, picnic tables & grill areas. Across the street is access to the famous 21+ mile Sanibel Island bike paths. Head into town to enjoy the various shops and restaurants or walk quickly in the other direction to "shelling and relaxation" on the beach.
