Amazing 1 bed 2 bath tranquil stay just 8 minutes from Gatlinburg and Ober Ski Resort. You can’t be any closer to Gatlinburg while still being in the mountains. Enjoy the large deck with private hot tub and porch swing. Sleeps 4 guests. Full kitchen available with plenty of cookware or enjoy the many restaurants located close by. Spend time relaxing in either of the 2 living rooms, both equipped with fireplaces and tv’s. High speed WiFi and cable. 5 minutes to Ober, 8 minutes to downtown Gatlinburg, 10 minutes to Sugarland's Visitor Center, 24 minutes to Dollywood. Short but steep driveway, we recommend higher clearance vehicles such as Rav4 or taller to utilize the driveway, street parking is available and free. We have a local vendor who will do all your grocery shopping for you and stock the fridge prior to your arrival. If you are interested in this service please message us after booking. There are motion triggered cameras at the cabin, one on each exterior door and one on the driveway to catch those sneaky bears!

Great Basics but Reluctant hospitality

This is a hard review to write because the overall design of the house is lovely and comfortable. The upstairs suite is especially inviting. The location is excellent for those wanting to use the national park.But there were some very off-putting things about the house that led us to feel that the owners really didn't care about the rental or welcoming visitors. Few were big but added together it was irritating.Some things just didn't work. The front burner on the stove didn't function, The bathtub spa upstairs had jets that didn't work. The hot water heater couldn't deliver enough hot water to do more than warm your feet. Some things just felt penny-pinching. There were only 2 table knives and a few forks. The knife set was terribly dull. There was absolutely nothing stocked i the refrigerator or cupboards. No type of cooking oil, spices, or even waters. Bare bones. Even the coffee supplies consisted of exactly 1 filter for each day we stayed and three dreadful coffee packets that were supposed to be for 4 but really made only 2 cups if you wanted more than brown water. Not even salt and pepper. I couldn't find the hair dryer anywhere and contacted the host twice with no replies. We DID have a reply early when I lost the key code directions from my phone and she did reply immediately for which I was grateful. The driveway which is mentioned in the descriptions is truly STEEP.. We have 4wd and had to back up and try it again at least twice. It was concerning.

Excellent cabin (if you don't mind steep driveways)

This was our second time to stay here and we couldn't have been more pleased. The fact that there are two woodburning fireplaces is what keeps us coming back. The location is fantastic also. The hosts were very quick to respond to our needs during our stay, so we will definitely be back again!

Great location

Space, location and view from our cabin was great! Quick drive into town. The cabin was very clean inside, but could use some TLC on the outside. The driveway was steep and could be a concern for some, but the biggest issue was it was also broken up by tree roots and very slippery. We had an AWD and struggled, but we were also concerned with getting damage to the vehicle. There is a spot to park at the bottom on the road way however, carting up luggage on the slippery, icy drive would have been difficult.4pm check in, we thought was a little late, especially as we discovered there was no wood supplied for the fireplace. We thought there would be at least the first night supplied to get started. We then discovered only 1 small wine glass in the cupboard, so we had to head back out to find, and purchase these items. The wood would not have been an issue if it were mentioned in the property brief that it was not supplied, but for what is a couples accommodation, there should be adequate glassware provided. We later found there was also no cutting board.The view from the balcony was lovely, and it was nice to have a clean grill to cook on the BBQ. However there was what looked like a broken chair and rubbish stuffed behind it. The spa was lovely, very clean.While in our opinion, there were some negatives, and perhaps not things that would bother others, overall we did enjoy our stay and would return.

Wonderful Cabin Experience with One Small Challenge

We had a fantastic stay at this cabin near Gatlinburg! The location is beautiful and peaceful, making it the perfect getaway spot. The cabin itself was cozy, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The only issue we encountered was the steep driveway—it can be a bit tricky, especially if you’re not used to mountain roads. However, it was well worth it for the amazing views and privacy. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this cabin to others looking for a relaxing retreat in the Gatlinburg area!

Gatlinburg Getaway

We had an excellent stay. Host was responsive and helpful. Property was exactly as shown and described. So close to the park and town but still felt tucked away. We did see some bears on and near the property which was really cool. Driveway is really steep. We have a 4 wheel drive vehicle so it was no issue but would definitely be a factor if you didn’t. Hot tub was awesome after long days in the park. We would definitely visit again.

A great getaway

Our goal: explore the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. This location was the perfect home base for our 4 day trip. We had been hoping for more views of the mountains, but it’s set back a little from the “edge” so our view was more wooded. That ended up being okay, because we pretty much got up and left and didn’t get back until dark! The washer/dryer came in handy. The only thing missing was a hairdryer, which I forgot to pack. A high vehicle was important as the driveway grade was pretty steep (24°) and I fear a car would have bottomed out.

Tranquil cabin

The cabin is lovely even better that the online pictures show. Sophia, the host responded within minutes of being contacted. You can sit on the porch and safely see bears. Also as over people have said, the driveway is a challenge but there is parking at street level near the cabin.

Great cabin near Gatlinburg

It was our first trip to the area. We had a great time. This cabin is close to Gatlinburg, about 5-8 min, and it was clean and nicely decorated. There was quite a bit of bear activity, most likely due to some trash in the woods near the cabin. Be sure to keep your vehicle locked. One of the bears tried to open our truck door. The memory foam bed is not my personal preference and the pillows were not comfortable. The driveway is VERY steep.Difficult to walk up/down. We brought our motorcycle on a trailer and there was no way we could get it in the driveway. Luckily there was a small pull out near the driveway where we parked the trailer. I greatly appreciate the hosts quick response when I messaged to ask if we could park our trailer in the pull out. If we would not have been able to, I don’t know what we would have done. Overall it was a great experience and the cabin itself is very nice and comfortable. I would highly recommend it.

Perfection

The cabin was amazing, with a perfect view, and lovely accommodations. We were able to use the hot tub on site, laundry, coffee pot, and jetted tub. Based on the pictures, I wasn't aware of how everything was laid out, but the room is upstairs, there is a jetted tub outside the full bathroom, and there is a sofa bed downstairs. It was perfect for our family of four. Check out instructions were a breeze and the cabin was a 10 min drive from either downtown Gatlinburg or the National Park. We will definitely be staying here again!

Quick Trip

Our stay was very nice and relaxing. Within minutes of arriving at the property we had bears walking by the cabin. Super convenient to downtown Gatlinburg. Property manager was quick to reply to any questions I had before arrival. We will stay again. We have a Blazer and had no issues with the driveway.

A Walk in the Park

This is a very nice little cabin. Sophia was very prompt to respond when the batteries died in the entry lock. Super responsive. The driveway is steep but no issue for my 4x4. It's a beautiful place, but don't expect scenic vistas. The cabin is in the woods and that's what you can see... Woods. It's close enough to downtown Gatlinburg to be convenient, but far enough up in the woods to feel secluded. The porch is wonderful for morning coffee. We used the hot tub once... Also clean and comfortable. All in all, I would stay here again. Pay attention when you walk out. This is true no matter where you stay. The was a bear nosing around the truck as we were preparing to leave.

Great cabin in the mountains. The entire process was extremely hassle free! Make sure you have coffee filters or take your own keurig. If you do have to leave early for coffee watch out for the bears!
