The peaceful oasis-like atmosphere is within minutes of the famous First Monday Trade Days and historic downtown Canton, TX. Wooded surroundings & songbirds to enjoy from your rocking chair on the porch. You will feel secluded from all the busy city life, yet nearby all the amenities you may need. Acorn Hideaways Frontier Suites has 17 different themed suites that are part of a little old frontier town. You may find others listed by the owners and rent multiple suites for a large group.

We are Timothy and Beverly Miller, newly retired and on a new adventure in our over 48 years of marriage. At the beginning of 2021, we purchased a few BnBs that needed some repairs and now have 17 suites ready to rent out.
Timothy was a lifelong professional Traffic Engineer for Fairbanks, AK - Auburn, WA - Abu Dhabi, UAE - Doha, Qatar - and Everett, WA. Beverly was an owner and manager of Christian bookstores along with many other roles.

If you love outdoor flea markets, then Canton, Texas is definitely a place you have to explore. This city is popular for First Monday Trade Days, the largest and longest-running outdoor flea market in the U.S. Situated in Van Zandt County, it's been in operation for over 170 years and running! During the Trade Days, The Old Mill Marketplace property, where you will be staying, has shopping, entertainment, and light dining until 10 pm. We even have a winery on site.
However, if you want to come to stay with us on non-trade days throughout the month, you will find a quiet peaceful getaway that will truly be relaxing from the busy life of the city. Hiking paths are found around the property. There are over 24 birds that you can identify just from sitting on the porch of your suite. We have a list of them for you to check off.

We are the closest lodging to the Main First Monday Trade Days property. After a day of shopping and exploring at the Main Trade Days, you can rest up in your suite and then go browse the shops within steps from your cottage. During Trade Days, there is evening entertainment, light dining, and a winery to enjoy a sip of wine with your friends until 10 PM.
