READ BEFORE RENTING
Pros: Timely communication from property manager
Cons: Dirty/stained bed linens, food crumbs on furniture and floor throughout apartment, Confusing directions to parking, Sketchy parking lot which is far from entrance to apartment, very poorly lit walkway
I will start by saying that I have been renting vacation properties for groups of friends and family for many years. I’m a reasonable person with realistic expectations and standards. This would be my very first negative review.
My fiancé and I flew into Phoenix from Connecticut on a trip to Sedona, AZ. We planned a quick stay in Scottsdale for two nights. Our flight in got delayed so we arrived to the property late at night. The directions provided on how to get there were ridiculous. The area was dark and felt sketchy, ferrel cats were running around and we honestly didn’t even think we had the right place. Once inside I sat on the couch and found food crumbs all around me. One bedroom had a comforter that was wrinkled, covered in white animal fur and had a faint white stain. It was quite obvious the comforter was not washed. When we pulled back the comforter to have a look at the sheets we found random body hair and head hair with other various debris within the sheets as well. When we looked for clean blankets to use so we could get some sleep we only found extra pillows that were stained with yellow markings.
I don’t know many people that would be ok with paying to stay two nights of dirty beds. Literally, all we wanted was a clean bed. We sent Noah a message and left immediately to book one of the last local hotel rooms available. After Noah reviewed the photographs I sent him he admitted this was an “oversight” on the cleaning crew’s end and offered to have the cleaning people come back (because they did such a great job the first time) or refund us the cleaning cost. Unfortunately, he absolutely refused to provide any sort
of refund for the stay we did not have and the bed full of men’s chest hair that we did not to sleep in.
