Comfortable house 2 steps from the Fontainebleau forest direct by train from Paris

Welcome to the Gîte de Moret!
A small house with all comforts - for 2 to 4 people - located in the heart of the pretty village of Veneux-les-Sablons, accessible by train (train station 10 minutes walk) from Paris Gare de Lyon (direct in 50 minutes), and a stone's throw from the wonderful forest of Fontainebleau. Ideal for a nature break: hiking in the forest, climbing on the mythical rocks... you will love it! Nearby, you can discover Fontainebleau, Moret-sur-Loing and their rich cultural heritage.

The Gîte de Moret is a comfortable and fully equipped small house.
It is an individual accommodation, separate from the owners who live in the adjoining house. Ideal for 2 travellers (a double bedroom) it can also accommodate up to 2 additional people in the large sofa bed in the living room.

THE PLUS OF THE GITE DE MORET? Its location! You can stay there without necessarily having a car! 😊 Indeed, the train station, the local shops and the forest of Fontainebleau are easily accessible on foot or by bike.
For a few days in the countryside, without a car, from Paris, the Gite de Moret is simply ideal.
Arrive - from the station - on foot or with your own bikes, and off you go for a big breath of fresh air!

The entrance to the property, from the street, opens into a charming little stone courtyard.

Your accommodation comprises:

1/ On the first floor (direct entrance from the outside): a beautiful living room with lounge area - dining room and open kitchen. Light through East West.
The kitchen is equipped (for 4 people) with the essentials - basic - in terms of crockery and utensils.
Are at your disposal:
- fridge freezer, microwave combined with a small oven/grill, electric hob, coffee machine (with Senseo pods) and washing machine (note: no dishwasher)
- table and chairs for 4 people
- sofa (which can be converted into a bed)

2/ On the first floor (in a bathroom equipped with a walk-in shower and separate toilet.

3/ Upstairs (access from the living room), a large, bright bedroom facing west, with a 140 cm double bed, a desk, storage space and a television (for DVDs and external connectors only). At the disposal in the room: another coffee machine (with Nescafé Dolce Gusto pods).

4/ Upstairs, on the landing of the room, a small reading and relaxation area, with hiking/climbing guides in the forest of Fontainebleau and advice for cultural visits and sports activities in the surrounding area.PGJyPg
All rooms are tastefully decorated and renovated for your comfort.

Board games, children's games, magazines, books, maps of the forest of Fontainebleau and tourist brochures are available to you during your stay.
Notice to climbers: we can lend you a climbing mat ("crash pad") free of charge for the duration of your stay. No need to load yourself :-)

The Gite de Moret also has a small private outdoor terrace, with table and chairs, to enjoy the sun at the end of the day :-)

The owners usually welcome you in person. Otherwise, a key box will allow you to check in independently.

Are you coming by train?
Nothing could be simpler. From Paris Gare de Lyon, take a train on line R (departing every 15 to 30 minutes) to Montargis or Montereau. Then after a 50-minute journey (without change) get off at "Moret-Veneux les Sablons" station. You have a short walk of only 8 minutes left, in the streets and alleys of our pretty village, to reach your cottage.

Are you arriving by car?
The Gîte de Moret is about 60 minutes drive from Paris-Porte d'Italie, 45 minutes from Orly airport and 90 minutes from CDG.
- Parking possible on the street (easy and free)

- Daily city bus passage (except Sundays) to Fontainebleau and Moret-sur-Loing opposite the cottage (line 3438). Perfect for non-motorized travelers.
- Secure garden shed to store your bikes.
- Your cottage is adjacent to the main residence of the guests. Only the entrance from the street and the courtyard are shared. For everything else, you will be totally independent.

Exchanges by email and phone, before, during and after the stay. In French and English.
We really like to communicate with our guests, so don't hesitate to ask us any questions you think are important to have a good stay.

Some IMPORTANT POINTS to note before finalizing your reservation:
- The Gite de Moret is a quiet accommodation, and it is intended to remain so. Thus, we do not accept parties, parties and any other potentially noisy and/or festive event.
- Only (2 to 4) travelers registered on the reservation are allowed to enter the property. During the day, as well as at night. Even if these additional visitors are "only passing through".
- Pets are not allowed, even clean, even well-behaved.
- The interior of the gîte is strictly non-smoking (tolerated outside, in the courtyard).

In general, we are at your disposal to inform you about local activities and to make sure that you have an EXCELLENT STAY at Gîte de Moret.

Cleaning is included in the rental price. However, to avoid paying extra costs, guests are asked to tidy up and clean the premises "classicly" (instructions available in the house).

We also own a very nice cat called Meteore - who is used to walking in the courtyard, and sometimes even entering the accommodation if you don't close your door properly. Notice to allergy sufferers!
