Welcome to the Summer of George! It is newer house (built in 2022) that is 1/2 mile from Hendricks Creek Marina on Dale Hollow lake and is a short drive to the State Park with a beautiful golf course and full service restaurant over looking the lake. It is great for multiple families. It can sleep up to 10 guests, and plenty of room for some air mattresses. The main floor has two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed, TV, full bath and walk-in closet. Bedroom 2 has a queen size bed, TV and large closet. The bathroom for this room is located right outside of the bedroom door and is shared with the main floor. It is a full bath with shower and tub. The lower level is the perfect area for the kids, including two sets of bunk beds (twin over full), living area with TV, full bathroom, and games. Enjoy the quiet setting while sitting on the front or back porch. The house also has a cornhole set, pickelball net and paddles (the driveway is perfect for it), and Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga arcade game.

Great stay!

Clean, comfortable, modern, lots of kitchen space, games, room for the whole family. This is the second time we have stayed in this home, and we just love it. It’s incredibly close to Hendrick’s Marina which is a big bonus for access to the water.

Immaculately clean, light and airy, spacious. Check-in was easy as can be and Jami replied to DMs quickly. This was by far the best rental house kitchen we’ve had. Their knives were actually sharp, they have plenty of bowls, baking sheets, etc. and nice appliances. Location is not far from the pleasant grove recreation area, Burkesville, or Celina. We enjoyed breakfast at Ollie’s nearby.

We enjoyed the privacy of the location and the quaintness of the home. Comfortable and clean! Recommend location for seeing the fall colors and touring the local area. We enjoyed a few wineries and views of the Dale Hallow area.

Long weekend, wonderful stay!

Spent our fall break weekend here with two families (4 adults, 4 kids). Plenty of space for everyone to enjoy a weekend getaway in a lovely home. Wonderful space for the kids on the lower level! Close access to multiple marinas and the state park. We look forward to returning!

Perfect Weekend

This property was absolutely gorgeous. It was super clean and well maintained. There was plenty of space for 4 adults and 6 children to stay comfortably. The host and neighbors were kind and friendly. The location was excellent for getting to the Hendricks Creek marina where we rented a slip for the boat for the weekend. Definitely a place we will come back to in the future.

Another amazing stay at Summer of George

This was our second time staying at this property and it was another great stay. The house is so well stocked with basic supplies and plenty of pots, pans and dishes. The space is great for two families, plenty of room inside and outside. Communication with the owner was so easy and she was quick to respond to questions or issues (which there was only one small one for us). Quiet neighborhood and 2 minutes to Hendricks Creek Marina if you want to put your boat in there.

Beautiful, clean, well stocked home

We really enjoyed our time at this home. The hospitality was great. It was clean. The Traeger smoker was so nice to have access to. There were plenty of dishes, pans, utensils, toilet paper, towels, and blankets. Our family brought 4 adults and 4 children. The kids hardly came out of the basement! It was nice to have a separate bathroom downstairs for them. Nice, new, quiet neighborhood. Close to several marinas. Quick drive to Mike’s Landing restaurant by car.

Great place to stay!

Everything about this house was top notch. High ceilings made the place feel spacious. Seating for six in living area; seating for seven at dining table. Allowing pets, an available slip, and closeness to the lake made our stay wonderful. Would love to stay again.

Owning a lake house on Dale Hollow Lake has been a dream of mine and my family for years. I have been boating at DH since I was 3 years old and have not missed a summer. My dad (George) introduced me to boating and I fell in love with this lake. It is one of the cleanest lakes in the mid-west and never gets over crowded.
