We spent ten days of bliss at LCC in December/January. From the giddy moment of arrival to the sad moment we had to leave, we found the property to be a delightful place for rest, relaxation, and reflection. As others have noted, there is no end to the time one can spend on the patio or pool deck, being caressed by the breeze and captivated by the sounds and views.
Carol, the owner, was inviting and thorough in her correspondence; Ginette, the property manager, warmly greeted us and gave a fantastic rundown of both the property and the region; Luis, the caretaker, respected and ensured our privacy while being incredibly kind and gracious with our requests and queries.
Various notes:
-The building is beautifully crafted.
-The pool is superb.
-Stargazing from the pool or deck is highly recommended. I have never seen so many stars.
-Despite the 26-30 degree heat, we slept comfortably at night and for naps during the day with the fans going
-The kitchen is very well appointed for cooking. We cooked most of our breakfasts, eating it at our leisure from the beautifully crafted patio dining table
-We ate most dinners in Montezuma and area's many excellent restaurants (Puggo's, Cocolores, and Sano Banano being our favourites)
-Nice appliances (fridge, stove, clothes washer/dryer) and fast internet were unexpectedly appreciated luxuries
-We made great use of our rental SUV. In fact I would suggest a vehicle is required as the ~1.5km road up from the village is steep, winding, busy during the day, and not pedestrian-friendly. Many of the roads in the area required at least moderate ground clearance, with 4x4 recommended (possibly a necessity in rainy season)
