Large, light filled 4 bedroom house - walk to ocean and ferry

Heron's Perch on Peaks' Island has space to hold everyone and cozy spots to curl up on your own. Just steps to the market and ice cream shop and a short bike ride to the open ocean on the back shore. Beautiful porch to enjoy morning coffee and light filled rooms. There are four bedrooms and a full bath upstairs with a total of 4 queen beds, 1 double beds and 1 twin bed. One bedroom has a desk. Heron's Perch was built in 1867 and the stairs to the second floor are steeper than modern stairs. There is a sleeping area with a comfortable foldout futon and desk on the first floor off the sitting room and a 3/4 bath downstairs. Plenty of room to relax in the two living rooms, front porch, back deck and large lawn with picnic table, chairs and fire pit. Peaks' Island has everything to make wonderful memories and rest and restore. We are in a residential neighborhood and for this reason quiet hours are mandatory from 10PM-7AM.

Please park off the street on the edge of our property in order to allow access for emergency vehicles on the road.

In Peaks Island for a family wedding. Communication with owner was excellent. Stairs leading to bedrooms (all 2nd floor) were incredibly steep and the treads were not standard depth. Mother is 85 and couldn’t make the climb, so slept on a couch. Husband and Brother in law both hit head coming down the steps. Neighboring Chickens were in the yard both days. Not our usual type of lodging choice, but was clean and there was ample space.

Lovely Home

We had a great stay at Heron’s Perch! This house has lots of space for hanging out and sleeping. The beds are comfortable and clean. Plenty of towels provided and a well stocked kitchen. Our absolute favorite was the wonderful, private front porch. This house is within walking distance to everything down front on the island. If you’re looking for space and being close to the ferry, stores and beaches I would highly recommend.

Perfect Gathering place for Peaks Island Wedding

4 adult couples were very comfortable. Easiest check-in ever. House was well-located with great gathering spaces inside and out. Beds were fine; lots of them. Bathrooms were fine but only two. Kitchen was large with all appliances needed. Loved our stay at the super sweet house!

wedding weekend

My husband and I stayed two nights with our son and another couple for a wedding on Peaks Island. The house was clean, inviting, well furnished and had everything we needed to relax, cook a meal and hang out with friends. We really loved sitting on the porch if we stayed longer would have loved to make a fire outside in the firepit. It was well located and walkable from the ferry. Lily was great with communication and accommodating to several requests I had. The instructions for entering/leaving and cleaning up were clear. We have friends on Peaks and it would be fun to return to this home another time! I highly reccomend. .

A lovely house on a lovely island

Heron's Perch is a lovely house and it is in beautiful shape. The kitchen was great, and the many bedrooms were very comfortable. The decor is clean and modern. Lily was very friendly and quickly addressed the few questions we had. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and hope to be back soon.

Best part of my Maine vacation

I'm a born and raised Mainer who now lives far away. I can never visit long enough in the summer. After staying with family for several weeks, our one true vacation week, staying at this beautiful Peaks Island home, was the best. Hope to come again next year!

Our second time staying here with extended family. The house has everything you'll need and more, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space, and in a great location.

Spacious home for family gatherings

My extended family had a wonderful time staying at Lily's beautiful house. With 7 of us, there were plenty of comfortable spaces to gather together and in smaller groups. The multi-bed bedroom has a TV, so my daughter and niece could watch their shows while we enjoyed a movie downstairs. We spent a lot of time on the front porch, which is very comfortable. The dishwasher is whisper quiet, the washer and dryer work well, and the kitchen is well stocked. It's a real home away from home. Thank you, Lily!

Wonderful Place for a Family Gathering

We had such a wonderful stay at Lily’s home! My brother, sister, and I (along with spouses and kids) recently had a weekend stay. I was a little nervous that the house would comfortably fit 6 adults and 5 kids, but it was absolutely perfect! We had plenty of room, enough beds for everyone, and we had absolutely everything else that we could have possibly needed. I have zero complaints, and my only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. Lily is a wonderful host, and I highly recommend this home. I hope to return sometime soon.

Girls weekend

What a great little spot! Had a girls weekend with 8 of us, and the house was cozy, close to the ferry (8 min walk), had all the necessary cooking amenities to cook in! 5 min walk to the beach. Just perfect, we already booked again for next year!!

Peaceful Respite

Beautiful old home with plenty of places to gather together as a group or go sit and take some time alone to read and relax. Short walk to shops, restaurants, beach and the ferry. Beds were comfortable and pristine. Good pillows. House was stocked with everything you need to cook. Great place for a family to gather!

Wonderful stay

Heron's Perch was a great place for our multi-generational family (ages 10-79) to stay for a week. Clean, comfortable, very well-equipped. Great communication with host.

Heron’s Perch is a wonderful place to stay

This is the second year my sister’s family, my husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Lily’s place. This home is very well equipped, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Lily was very quick to respond whenever we had a question. The location is great, quiet and removed from the ‘hubbub’ but within walking distance to the ferry. The outdoor space is also very comfortable, with the addition of a solo fire pit and chairs. We hope to stay again next year!

My aunt moved to Peaks' Island when I was a kid and it became a place of magic, a place where I could have the freedom to ride my bike anywhere, make new friends and bring my own children. We bought Heron's Perch as a place to gather our family and have a piece of the Island to call our own.

この宿泊施設の特徴

We love the light and spaciousness of Heron's Perch. Our absolute favorite thing to do is sit on the front porch and enjoy the sun. Heron's Perch is walking distance to the ferry, the market and a bike or golf cart ride to the back shore. Rent bikes for the kids and watch them come home beaming with adventures to talk about. While there are many things to enjoy about the island, it is also a 20 minute ferry ride to the very walkable Old Port of Portland, Maine, where there are an amazing array of restaurants, shops and art galleries.
