Newly renovated 3BR/2BA home - 10 mins from EWR

Hi Mr. Forte, Thank you for your feedback. When we spoke on the day of your check-out, after your guests were 90 minutes past the check-out time, I understood that you had checked out either the night or morning prior to the rest of your party. As such, I understand that you may not be aware of the condition in which the home was left. Unfortunately, there was significant damage to the home and our furniture, and the condition in which it was left meant that our cleaning crew not only got a late start because the group was still there well past check-out time, but they had to stay an extra 3 hours past their typical cleaning time to get the house in shape for the next guests. In addition to breaking the rule of no smoking in the home, there were ashes and burns on our floors and rugs, candles and incense were left burning in the home which posed a significant risk had our cleaning crew not come in immediately, furniture was torn, there was a cracked floorboard and broken window in the living room, and the kitchen was left in an extremely filthy and unhygienic state. I would be happy to share pictures and videos with you if you would like to connect offline in order to better understand why the security deposit was claimed. Unfortunately this was necessary in order to repair the damages and replace the ruined items to ensure that our future guests are given the quality of experience and stay that they are paying for.
