This spacious and elegantly comfortable colonial vacation home, located on one of Mérida Centro’s most desirable streets, combines grandeur with playful accents celebrating the city’s rich history. Perfect for families with lockable pool access at night, it also serves as a serene adults-only escape.

Casa La Perlita is centrally located, within a 15-minute walk of Centro Histórico’s top attractions: Paseo de Montejo, Plaza Grande, Santa Ana Parque, and Santa Lucia Parque. It’s also a short walk to the vibrant Corredor Gastronómico, filled with local culinary delights, and the new Gran Parque La Plancha, home to the Tren Maya (Mayan Railway) station. It’s an ideal base for day trips to Progreso, Sisal, Dzibilchaltún, Uxmal, cenotes, wildlife preserves, and Chichen Itza.

The property accommodates up to six adults and two toddlers/babies. Guests have exclusive access to the entire house, except for locked storage spaces.

Beautiful home and better than the photos. From the street it is very unassuming, which makes it even more special. The AC units work well and the kitchen is properly equipped. Internet is very fast and has excellent coverage throughout the home. House manager was very responsive as well.

Gorgeous

Stayed for 6 days with my husband and our 10 year old daughter. First, we appreciated being able to check in a few hours early. Communication was great. Second, the property is amazing! The layout, decor, and furnishings are perfect. We were very comfortable during our stay. The outdoor areas and pool were used everyday. We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa La Perlita!

A private luxurious home in Merida

We spent a week over Christmas and Casa La Perlita could not have been nicer, beautiful, well equipped, you'll never want to leave the courtyard and pool area. Merida is a wonderful place and this home made it just perfect!

Such a beauty!

Staying at Casa La Perlita was a truly amazing experience! Colonial charm with modern amenities. Our Casa La Perlita Trip

Casa La Perlita is a quiet, peaceful, very large, beautiful, amazingly decorated, tranquil casa with it's own gorgeous gardens and pool. It is so close to everything, located only minutes from the airport, and amazing restaurants. Every person in Merida that we had contact with was wonderfully polite. Managment was great. We were there a week and loved it!!!

Beautiful Villa

The villa was a lovely oasis for exploring Merida. There was a space for everyone to be together or separate if desired. It was equipped with everything we needed and more. The pool was very refreshing after walking in the sun and the courtyard always seemed to have a breeze to keep us cool.

Your oasis in Merida!

My grandson thought we were staying in a “mansion”! It is a big space and lots of room to “escape” for some quiet time. Good privacy for couples or family. Centrally located, it’s an easy walk to many restaurants and shops. The kitchen is very well equipped to handle folks who want to cook. We had a great week in the villa!

Oops! There goes the water

First day there the water pump broke that feeds the entire house. A maintenance crew was there within minutes to fix it. The crew was polite, clean, knowledgeable and fix it as fast as humanly possible on top of that the host adjusted our bill to reflect the inconvenience. We were very pleased with our first experience renting a VRBO.

Fabulous Retreat

Casa La Perlita is a beautifully maintained well appointed house in the Centro Historic area! The house exudes Hispanic charm and comfort. Communication with the owner and property manager was responsive and helpful. Additionally a comprehensive guide to the house is provided before check-in. The location was excellent for exploring the major interest points by foot, local restaurant favorites and cantinas. The indoor outdoor living around the lush pool was a nice respite from the encroaching heat. There are hammocks, lounge chairs and pool floats. The house was clean and maid service was provided halfway through our 8 night stay. Should we find ourselves in Merida again, we would definitely stay at Casa La Perlita. .

Beautiful Colonial in great location

Things we loved- location was within walking distance to all the great restaurants on Calle 47. The house is a gorgeous colonial that feels like an art museum with many hidden treasures throughout. The pool area is a wonderful place to hang and relax. The home is very large and would suit larger groups comfortably. Everything was clean and well maintained. There is a coffee place just two doors down. We were locked out at one point and were able to get a hold of the management team who showed up in about 10 minutes to get us back in. Things we didn't love- The plumbing is old centro plumbing so no flushing toilet paper. To be fair this is the same in pretty much all of centro and much of MX. The mosquitos are a pretty big problem if you want to hang outside even during the day. Repellent was provided. We were charged and additional 75 for electricity for 4 nights stay and all we did was use AC in one room only while we slept. The house has solar panels so this extra charge seems excessive as we have never been charged for electric at any other properties we've stayed.

Luxury away from home

Our stay in Merida had the bonus of a Beautiful, luxurious home. We felt very relaxed and at home. We felt like we were visiting some of our best friends while staying at your house. From the comfort of the entrance room, stepping on forward into the sitting area around the patio and then the pool ending in the entrance to the kitchen of the house felt very comforting and welcoming. Once we entered the kitchen, the decorations and organization of everything within the living area was beautifully arranged. As we walked up the stairs, we could see an experience the lovely master bedroom as well as its private balcony. Very relaxing!. Walking behind the kitchen, we found the two additional bedrooms each with their private bath and shower. As we were a family of four we opted to stay in two rooms downstairs during our stay. We felt very comfortable and secure in your home. The café down the street had excellent lattes and made a bonus at breakfast time before we went out on our excursions. I only wish they would have opened before 8AM. We truly enjoyed staying in your home. We felt very relaxed as if we were visiting some of our closest friends. Thank you.

Beautiful house in a great location

What an amazing home! The pictures online are beautiful, but when we opened the front door it felt like we were walking into an unexpected paradise. The furnishings and decor felt like a museum. The bed in the master was very comfortable and the kitchen had all that we needed to cook a few meals at home. The pool and gardens were very lovely. The owners have thought of everything to make their guests have a wonderfully enjoyable vacation. The house was very well located making it an easy walk to all of the best restaurants and sights that Merida has to offer. Thank you for letting us rent your beautiful home.

Merida is a very autism friendly city, and our house is set up with child safety in mind. We are from Canada but love all the beauty, culture, and warmth that Mexico offers. Situated in a very quiet spot within the bustling Cento Historico area, the house is 15 minutes or less by foot from some of the best food and most exciting sites this centuries old city has to offer. The house is decorated to showcase the many lives of Merida, from its Maya roots as the city of T'ho through its colonial rebirth as Merida and on to its more modern history, when you stay in Casa La Perlita you won't just be staying in a grand house, you will be stepping into an immersive experience that is uniquely Yucatana.
