Great cabin

My 100 year old mother was with me and she told me she wants to go back next year. Bedroom on main floor and easy access for her.

Didn’t enjoy having animals running around in attic every night. Didn’t sound like rats probably pos

Attic probably raccoons or possums. Started around 7 pm every night. Only station we could get on TV was Netflix If you stay here don’t expect to see any network stations

Enjoyable place to stay with family

The home was very roomy and comfortable for our family of 12. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. We enjoyed our time together very much in this beautiful area!

We have a few concerns regarding the house

Safety hazard :The cabinet on the back porch is not secured at all to the back wall. Since this cabinet is not heavy, a light pull on the doors when opening could cause it to fall.Safety hazard: The door to the utility closet downstairs is not secured and did fall on my sister when she mistakenly thought it was a guest closet and opened it.Safety hazard: The light fixture on the front porch hangs low, easily striking a 6' tall person in the head.The outdoor grill rack is very rusted, not suitable to put food on.A minor issue: there were not enough blankets for the downstairs bedrooms. We did get them after 2 calls to the local VRBO rep.Otherwise the house was clean, furniture comfortable, and the kitchen was pretty well stocked with necessary utensils, though a couple extra kitchen chairs would have been helpful.

Nice Peaceful cabin in a great Location near to hiking

It was a nice stay with friends & family in the nice spacious cabin (sleeps 13). Everything was neat and clean and perfectly communicated to make the stay peaceful. Also had a great time with camp fire in the fall evening(mid October). Black Rock Mountain state park in less than 6 miles and we had good time with fall colors and hiking. Stay was very peaceful without any disturbance . We also used the option to extend the checkout to 2PM for a small fee but was worthwhile spending some more time in the cabin.

Great location and house. Floors were dirty and there was dirty towels left in one of the showers.

Overall we loved and enjoyed the house and will book again.
