Charming stone cottage accommodation reflecting the early years of South Australia. Centrally located. Cottage style lounge room with open fire place, Smart TV and complimentary Port. Cosy, tastefully decorated queen size bedroom with fresh white cotton linen, electric blankets, wool doona and plump pillows. Well equipped and fully inventoried kitchen with microwave and dishwasher. Large bathroom with relaxing two person spa with shower over and complimentary toiletries, north and south porches set in private gardens for al fresco dining or a quiet glass of local wine. Off street parking, free wifi, small dog friendly. Sarah’s Cottage is a relaxing retreat for two away from busy modern lives.

We had a very comfortable stay. There were limited options for evening meals, but we would HIGHLY recommend The Royal Oak Hotel nearby, and the Coonawarra Wine Trail Walk. In the lovely cottage we would suggest instructions be provided for operating the convection microwave, and for how to clean the fireplace, as I was not happy to leave the wood and ash behind. We found the little garden beautiful and the smell of the jasmine an absolute delight. It was a most comfortable and relaxing few days. Thank you Jen.

Sarah’s Cottage had everything we needed for a short stay in Penola. Great location to shops and food outlets. We had a very comfortable time.

Quaint Cottage in a very central location

The cottage was lovely and in a quiet but central location. Everything we needed was provided, however we only had 2 towels for our entire 3 day stay and couldn't find more stored anywhere. The untidy garden let the cottage a bit but would be really lovely with a little TLC and a watering system on a timer.

Wedding Night

Jen and Chuck the cottage was absolutely gorgeous. My husband is a massive history buff and loved the information included in the booklet. I loved the attention to detail in the decoration of the cottage. The cottage was decorated with historical elements, with it only shying away from these for livability reasons and this was still done tastefully. Thank you so much we loved our stay

Amazing and beautiful cottage

Sarah's Cottage was so comfortable. There were so many very special touches to the cottage. The artwork was beautiful, interesting and a touch of humour. We were constantly finding some very cute and funny bunnies. I loved the beautiful, personal hand washes in the kitchen and bathroom. Everything that you could possibly need was supplied which included bathrobes and slippers! The cottage was within walking distance to the town. I had an amazing birthday in Sarah's Cottage.

Penola Perfection!

Great little weekend away spent at the quaint, Sarah’s Cottage. Everything we needed and in a perfect location to explore the historic town on foot and within a stone’s throw of the amazing Royal Oak Hotel. A comfortable and lovely weekend away exploring the Coonawarra. Thank you!

A winner!

This cottage is really lovely - so homely, welcoming and comfortable, Some lovely touches and in a quiet location. . Very near the local (excellent) supermarket and walking distance to everything Penola has to offer. Jennifer is the perfect host. There was a glitch at the beginning of my stay. It was fixed immediately and we both had a good laugh about it. I can't recommend this place highly enough. It is the third property I've stayed in during my visits to Penola - and it will be where I stay next time.

Explore the local area from beaches and sink holes to vineyards and forests.
