Nestled snuggly among the mountains at the end of a tranquil street, this traditional cabin serves as the perfect home away from home. Take in amazing views from many vantage points, including the large deck and screened patio, which features a fireplace, a cushioned sitting area, and al fresco dining. The gas grill is ideal for afternoon cookouts, while a hammock is the best place to snuggle up with a book.

When you are not checking out local hiking trails or swimming holes, gather for movie nights in the cozy living area next to the gas fireplace. The full kitchen is equipped with everything you need to create your favorite meals. The open loft is appointed with a bed, TV, a selection of board games, and a game table.

Great Cabin but STEEP driveway

If you have 4 wheel drive, this cabin is a no brainer. Our van is not and had troubles getting up the STEEP hill sometimes. If you don't have the right vehicle, this cabin may not be for you. Cabin was clean, roomy for our party of 6, and kitchen was well stocked with things I needed.

Spring Break 2025

This is our second time staying at this property. It feels like our home away from home. We will stay again! The views are amazing, it’s a quiet neighborhood, and the house amenities make it very comfortable. We have seen bears galore both times we have stayed, and this time we had a momma and 2 cubs sneak up on the porch! The only negatives I have this time were that the downstairs bathroom sink is stopped up and would not drain. The door to the laundry closet was also broken. Neither of these issues would not deter us from staying again.

Steep driveway with beautiful views

Wonderful cabin! The driveway is very steep and very slippery when covered with leaves and pine needles and even worse after it rains!Once we were able to get into the cabin, 10-digit code took several attempts to get in, it was amazing! The views were spectacular! The inside of the cabin was very welcoming and decorated to make you feel like you were at home!We did have a too close for comfort, bear encounter. We were struggling to get the code to work, and we turned around and he was at the gate!! Thank goodness for the gate around the porch and my husband's quick thinking to hit the panic button on our vehicle! Everything was very comfortable beds, couch, and porch chairs.

Cabin Fever

We liked Lazy Bear Lodge. It was our second time staying in that cabin. We like the view and the lack of other cabins right on top of you. It’s clean and comfortable and has enough parking for a few cars. The only thing it needs is more lighting along the driveway at the top. Also the clear lights around the outside edges of the roof weren’t working this time. Overall we had a nice stay once again.

Beautiful Mountaintop Retreat

The views from this property were breathtaking. We saw bears on the drive to and from. The surrounding area was peaceful. The beds were comfortable and the property was well appointed. We will definitely be returning.

Great Cabin!

We enjoyed our stay at the lovely cabin! I had a question before checking in & the guest service helped right away. My kids enjoyed going up & down the mountain to get to cabin too! We would definitely stay again.

It was ok

It was a beautiful view, the cabin was spacious and accommodated our family very well, but we ran into a few issues during our stay. The cabin was dusty, like it had been cleaned after the last renters had left and had just set for awhile and was not cleaned again before we checked in. The hot water was not working and when I contacted guest services, no one knew where the fuse box was, so while trying to take care of my three children whileI was running around outside in the dark. I finally located it and reset everything. A maintenance person was sent out 2 DAYS LATER after my call to fix our hot water(thank goodness that we were not actually without hot water as was stated on his maintenance ticket). There was no basics, such as salt and pepper in the kitchen or kitchen towels for dishes. There is no manual telling where things are located, such as they ask before you leave to place the trash in the bear boxes, again walked the entire property and no trashcans or bear cans anywhere to be found. The place is overall nice but there are a few things that need to be done better.

Perfect views

Beautiful, clean home with lots of room and amazing views. I took another reviewer’s recommendation to find the house before it gets dark and I’m glad I did because there are some tricky turns and a steep driveway. The house and property was well lit in the dark and felt safe during the night. Everything worked from what we could tell. The fireplace was relaxing and we were able to wash clothes and dishes. I could have stayed another 2 weeks if the budget would allow!

Amazing Cabin

This cabin far exceeded our expectations. Breathtaking views, bears galore on the Homestead property, and all the comfortable amenities. This cabin is unique. I would have been happy to spend the whole vacation there! Our kids loved the loft where they had their own bathroom and space to hang out. Did i mention the views?? We have stayed at multiple properties in the area over the years and this is by far our favorite. We will 100% be staying here again!

Beautiful Cabin

Our stay was great. We had no idea it was in The Homestead community which is very exquisite. Absolutely love the location and cabin. The first day only 1/2 mile away we saw a Bear and two cubs. The following morning we saw a lone bear eating wild cherries. Hand towels would have been nice since i actually washed, dried and put away the dishes. Thankfully i took my cast iron because there was only one 6" skillet but still had to cook eggs in a soup pot. Need an option to turn off string lights for stargazing on the porch. Bbq grill was nasty with food stuck on it. None of this is a deal breaker and have already recommended it to friends and family. Communication was excellent! Definitely recommend using Vacasa.

Stayed four nights. Tv and den lights worked only one night. Could not get help from property management until last day. Walls creek and squeak in wind. Not for the faint heart. Beware before renting

Decent stay

The Cabin overall was very nice, however they advertise it with a hot tub but the tub was turned off and chained up. Also, the upstairs shower leaked a lot of water through the floor and into the downstairs bedroom. It soaked the whole floor in a few minutes.

Review of Lazy Bear cabin.

The view was amazing It is a beautiful cabin.. If you like to be high on the mountain this cabin is for you. There was no place to put the garbage on the outside. We had to keep the garbage I. The cabin and take it with us when we left. The cabin sunroom had spider webs and bugs. The bathroom shower needs to be regrouted and cleaned. The cabin was not cleaned to my standard.

Beautiful view and cabin

Our trip to the Lazy Bear lodge was great. We were off the main track of people, it was a great trip. The only concern that we had was the lack of cookware the house had, along with the non functioning coffee maker. Just be mindful, the driveway is really steep.

Great view

Very nice property. Everything was as advertised. Booked late, but Everything went smoothly. Good text and email communications with the agent. Clean, well appointed and the view is the BEST. Will definitely stay there again.

Loved it!

The cabin was beautiful..looks just like the picture! It actually has 3 bedrooms but one full size bed is in the loft..so its listed as 2 bedroom. Very spacious. Gorgeous views...about 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area. The enclosed outdoor area pretty cobb webby...and the fireplace was locked up...but the one indoors worked well! Overall well worth it!!

Peaceful with an amazing view!

This property is stunning! Everything was exactly as pictured and described! It does take about 30 min to get to Pigeon Forge or most stores and restaurants. It’s only about 10 miles or less from, but the winding roads take time to travel. If you don’t mind taking a scenic route to town, this place is awesome! We would definitely stay here again!
