Find both serene relaxation and unmatched convenience at this charming log cabin in Helen. This alpine-inspired retreat boasts a beautiful woodland setting and multiple outdoor decks where you can unwind each evening - with the fun and activity of downtown Helen just half a mile from your door. There is a second sleeping space in the open-air loft.

Whether you're planning a vacation full of fishing, tubing, or wine-tasting, this cozy cabin makes an ideal home base. The interior is adorned with natural wood, while generous windows let in the sunshine and views of the surrounding trees. There's a compact but well-equipped kitchen, a dining table for four, and an inviting sitting area with a leather sofa, a gas fireplace, and a smart TV.

Bring a local bottle of wine outside to the deck, where you can grill and dine in the late afternoons. The evenings are best spent playing board games by the fire and planning tomorrow's excursions using the free WiFi.tomorrow's excursions using the free WiFi.

Good place to stay but the sofa bed is not something adults will want to sleep on. (very uncomfortable) The picture makes it look secluded and its not when it comes to parking.

Cozy cute spot

Gas fireplace stopped working 2nd day but it was a cozy amazing spot as long as there is no ICE on the driveway and small road to cabin. Definitely would stay again.

Relaxing and inviting

Everything was turn on for us. We arrived in the evening and were able to put out things in the cabin and get right into the hot tub. It was on and warm waiting for us to enjoy. The grill was fantastic. Everything we needed was there for us. Thank you for a great time! We were indeed happy campers!!

Great little getaway

This little cabin was great for our short weekend. Hot tub was perfect, we got to bring our dog and he was happy and the cabin is nestled in the trees along with 4 other cabins. But it is a very quiet little cul de sac. The beds were comfortable. It is a one car road to get to the cabin area so be cautious when driving in. We walked into town each evening without difficulty. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we have the chance.

Happy times at the happy camper

Enjoyed the mountain feel but super close to everything. Don’t think I would walk since the street is a bit of a hike, but only a few minutes drive. Cabin is cute. Kids said “it’s a vibe” 😜 our puppy got to come along and go on our Helen adventure too. We had an intense game of Uno and enjoyed the hot tub.

Cabin to the downtown, Helen town

Very nice cabin with plenty of space and in the woods. Very close to the town of Helen you can walk down the hill and be right in the city center. Only recommendation I have is the maintenance needs to clean all the comb webs outside before somebody occupies the cabin. Also when we got heavy rain, the gutters are clogged, causing a pour down in front of the door.

Romantic Pre Valentine’s Weekend

Happy Camper was the perfect dog friendly spot for our weekend getaway. The cabin was the perfect size and was accurately listed. The location is fantastic, and we even got to see a family of deer. The only negative was the hot tub wasn’t hot. But other than that, we would gladly stay again.

I would recommend verifying everything is in order before guest arrives. We should have been made aware the hot tub wasn't available. The description said you could walk to town but it was a straight up long drive to far edge of town so not a convenient walk.

Fun close to town getaway

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin is very close to town! Easy drive! Only unexpected thing was other cabins so close by. It didn’t bother us at all, but we were under the impression from the pictures that we were a little more secluded. Very cute cozy cabin!!

Great Christmas at the Happy Camper in Helen

Wonderful property in Helen! The cabin was immaculate and cozy. It was so nice to find a dog friendly option! Our dogs loved walking around the wooded areas. The kitchen was small, but functional and the outside grill was such a plus! The property was very quiet and we loved the fireplace and large TV. The property is in walking distance to Helen, but there is a very steep drive leading up to the neighborhood that may be quite challenging for some. We highly recommend and would love to go back! Check out the BBQ place at the end of the drive leading to the neighborhood - it was great!

The Happy Camper

The property is a short 3-minute drive to downtown Helen which makes the location ideal for those who want to be close to town but have a more private feel. There is a narrow road leading to the property from the main road but we did not have any issues with it or accessing the private parking. We also brought our small dog and she enjoyed the stay. Communication was excellent/responsive and the property overall was nice, though there were a few minor issues with cleanliness such as with the floors.

Pros - Communications were prompt and friendly. We had an issue with the thermostat which they fixed right away. The decor was also cute and woodsy, which fit the location. Cons - The property could use more interior lighting, especially in the dining area. Additionally, there were a few areas that didn't feel completely clean.

Great memories

We had the best time visiting Helen GA and staying here! The cabin is perfectly cozy with everything we needed. Everything was nice and clean. It’s so peaceful to be so close to town. Our only complaint is the way too long door entry code.

Birthday getaway

Booked this for my friends birthday. It was the perfect location and had plenty of room for all of us. The decks were perfect and the hot tub was the perfect way to end the day. Would definitely stay here again. Also love that we could bring the dogs.

Nice Cabin within walking Distance to Helen

The cabin itself was very nice for a couple's retreat, well furnished, and comfortable. We also booked the cabin to enjoy the hot tub after a couple of long hikes, but the hot tub was not working. Disappointed that it did not work, as we would have rated the Happy Camper a 5 otherwise.

I don’t recommend

The heat was out at our property when we got there. Also, the hot tub stayed on 66, we called about this malfunction as well and they said “they have a motor coming for it”. So, no heat until the next day- as they said they would relocate us, but instead sent maintenance.(interrupts our trip and plans). The hot tub wasn’t able to be used at all. The place was very dirty, the tub does not drain while taking a shower, and the toilet has nasty stains inside primary and out. The pictures posted for this property have high contrast filters on it, so don’t be fooled. Still awaiting a partial refund. Good luck, keep looking until you find a better vacation home! You won’t miss anything with this location.
