Branches on the Cartecay is back! Branches is located 10 min, on all paved roads, from downtown Ellijay and only 19.3 mi from Blue Ridge. Enjoy the breathtaking riverfront and mountain views from the deck, living room, hot tub and outdoor pavilion! Like fishing? Walk right out the back door to the river and catch your dinner, and if you love hiking or biking, walk out the neighborhood gate to the adjacent 2100 acre Rich Mountain Wildlife Management Area Cartecay Tract.

Guests will have the entire cabin to themselves with private riverfront access and the security of a gated community. This cabin has everything you need for a relaxing day grilling out on the deck with a front row seat for watching wildlife and soaking up the sunshine and view. Let the calming sound of the river relax you as you enjoy making s’mores at the fire pit. The private hot tub also creates the perfect setting for a treetop experience by day and stargazing under the night sky. The cabin also features a fully equipped game room for ping pong and billiards enthusiasts.

Branches features 4 bedrooms (3 kings and 1 queen) and 3 bathrooms for guests. The game room also includes a pull-out sofa bed that allows sleeping for 2 additional guests (queen mattress) - making this cabin suitable for up to 10 guests.

You'll find all the comforts needed for a relaxing getaway and easy access to Ellijay's best restaurants, vineyards, orchards, and shopping.

The cabin was so beautiful! From the time we arrived until the time we left there were deer walking through the property it was so neat to just sit back on the porch and watch. The location was perfect and easy to get to and from everything. Definitely recommend Dahlonega Downtown, Elijah Downtown, Amicola Falls, Cohutta Overlook and Reece’s cider to name a few. Family vacation

We had a truly wonderful few days and Jonathan, our host, couldn’t have been nicer. Promptly responded to any questions we had. The kids were so happy to see all the deer - and we saw many! Property centrally located.

Family fun

Cabin was great. Owner was very responsive and helpful. The river by the cabin was a little murky for my taste but the owner gave me some tips of other areas to go in and was spot on! had a great time.

Lovely home near Ellijay

We attended a wedding in Ellijay and this home was perfect for our family. The home had 4 bedrooms and a sleeper sofa. The bedroom on the bottom floor was perfect for my son and daughter-in-law because they have an infant. They were able to put him down for naps there away from all of the distractions. The river was lovely and there are lots of deer and other wildlife. We also enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor fireplace. Would love to stay here again.

Great, quant spot!

This cabin is a great stay. The neighborhood is nice, quiet, and easy to get to. The cabin handled 4 couples with ease and comfort. Plenty of supplies and room for all. The entertainment downstairs was exceptional and fun. The hottub was clean, warm and enjoyable. We truly enjoyed every aspect of this place, for a great price.Our only minor negatives would be: 1) The fire pit area is not for the faint of heart.. emphasis on faint! It’s quite the walk down there albeit the really only viable spot on the property and we still enjoyed it. 2) The front door has a security camera that faces the hot tub area. It would be preferred to not have the discomfort of such camera while in bathing attire.

Family Gathering - Five Stars.

We had a wonderful stay. Everything was as pictured and expected Jon was very quick to respond to text when we had questions. Kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the waffle maker! Personally I prefer t mattress but other than that I have nothing but positive feedback.

Fabulous property

The property is beautiful and has so many amenities! We came up for a long weekend for my husband’s birthday with both of our grown kids, their spouses and our 2 month old grandson. I was so excited to find a cabin with 3 king size beds, one for each couple! We will definitely be back!!

Amazing weekend trip!

We had a great time staying here, although the night before we headed up to Ellijay there was a storm that came through and nocked out all the power, the host Johnathan kept us updated on everything and made sure we were all set for our stay. There were definitely some upgrades around the house we would recommend like the main floor bathroom toilet seat was broken and the house had some cobwebs like no one had been through in a bit. The back yard on the way down to the river was VERY steep, my mother with feet problems was only able to stay on the stairs and couldn't go further due to how steep and rocky the trail down the fire pit was. You also couldn't get into the water very easily, we didn't get in because we knew we couldn't have gotten back up. Overall the stay was amazing, we loved playing pool and ping pong downstairs and relaxing in the hot tub!

Great family time at a beautiful riverfront cabin

We had a great time, from the games inside to the fire pit and river outside. Host made things seamless as well. We will definitely be staying here again.

Incredible! Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about our stay. The cabin was clean, spacious, and perfect for our group of 7 (with room for more if needed!) check in was seamless, the property was beautiful. Being secluded with river access but only 10 minutes away from downtown Ellijay, the location was incredible. Would definitely stay here again, what a perfect place for our long weekend!

Family Thanksgiving Getaway!!

Our family went and each of us had our own privacy if needed. The grand children had so much fun in the hot tub while we sat by the fireplace close by. I would highly recommend this place. Matter of fact, that is what my family said too. We saw deer every morning and late afternoon and hearing the water flow from the stream was relaxing. Super nice Thanksgiving time.

Mixed Emotions

Very nice home and location. Property needed mowing, bed linens were very dirty and needed washing. Fire pit not cleaned out. No safe access to river. Feel if there's a cleaning crew, they aren't doing the job, nor communicating with owner. Owner needs more "hands-on" with property.

Beautiful cabin

We loved our stay! Beautiful cabin!Everyone enjoyed the game room.. steps leading from cabin to water were somewhat steep, we all managed fine, but would be difficult for elderly. Also, we would have enjoyed getting in the water, but too much of an embankment. Loved seeing all the deer & their fawns!!

Nice for a quick getaway

We enjoyed the hot tub, games in the game room, and access to the river(even though it was not the right season). This would be an amazing spot to kayak or float down to and take out since it is located just below Blackberry Falls.

Wonderful Weekend!!

Stayed at this incredible cabin for a long weekend - there were 8 of us (our adult children with spouses) - just can't say enough about this cabin and the time we had. Everything from the initial communication with Jonathan through leaving the cabin at the end of our stay was extremely easy. Highlights - the firepit next to the river, the hot tub, the outside fireplace, kitchen (+ outside grill), the expanse of the cabin, bedrooms and bathrooms - all were fabulous and made our time together very special and memorable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Great Stay! Peaceful setting

We loved staying here. The outdoor porch and fireplace were wonderful! We also spent some time down near the water fishing and around the fire pit. Great place to gather as a family.

Great space for group getaway

The house and view are STUNNING. We had a small team/work retreat and the space was perfect- room for folks to spread out or come together. We’ve already recommended it to several other friends and colleagues.

Beautiful clean and large cabin!

Our trip to this large and clean cabin was great from the beginning prior to check in. The property owner Jonathan was great. He called personally prior to check in to see if we had any Questions or accommodations needs. The cabin was clean and able to accommodate my family. Access to the cabin was easy, all paved roads. The view of the river was great. I would definitely come back with my family again!

A long weekend get away

We stayed at this property Thursday through Sunday. The cabin is beautiful. The beds were surprisingly comfuly. Kitchen was stocked well! Had fun with the pool table and ping pong too! Beautiful property right on the river. Even has tubes for tubing . Relaxed in the hot tub in the evening. Close to town. Saw deer playing in the yard. Was everything we hoped for and more! Will definitely be back for fishing when it's colder.

Nice blend of relaxation and adventure

Our family had a very relaxing stay at Branches by the Cartecay. We were needing a break from a busy life at home and this cabin was just the ticket. We love the outdoors so the wooded private lot was just what we were looking for. We enjoyed waking up late and sitting in the front room drinking coffee and planning our days. The Keurig is a nice touch. Part of our relaxation was the river. We love adventure and so after a day of research and studying maps we determined that we could put our inflatable kayak and tubes in up river at the intersection of Lower Cartecay Road and the river itself. This would allow us to spend about 3 hours floating back to the cabin . There are many excellent rapids and the water is beautiful. It made for a great float trip. We did it 3 of our 7 days at the cabin. The close proximity to Ellijay’s many orchards and nice downtown made the location even more appealing to us. Our family gives the cabin a resounding thumbs up!
