Casa Dos Aguas: Yelapa Beachfront 1BR with Bay Views & Open-Air Terrace
Wake up to the sound of the ocean waves from Casa dos Águas, a calm, thoughtfully designed beachfront home in Yelapa.
Just steps from the beach and a few minutes’ walk from the village, the house opens onto a large terrace with sweeping views across Yelapa Bay — a place for morning coffee, outdoor dining, hammock-chair sunsets and long, unhurried days by the water.
The bright, open-plan interior is designed to move easily between indoors and out. Sliding glass doors can be opened completely for open-air living, while air conditioning and five ceiling fans provide comfort when you prefer to close the house. Italian furnishings by Paola Lenti, handmade Mexican floor tiles and custom murals painted by a local artist bring together contemporary design and the character of Mexico.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a Wolf cooktop, dishwasher, ice maker and wine coolers. The spacious bathroom features a large walk-in shower and double sinks, and the house also includes private laundry.
A lighted path with custom-painted murals leads to the private entrance and one flight of stairs up to the house.
Yelapa has no road access, which is part of what makes it so special. Guests arrive by water taxi from Puerto Vallarta or Boca de Tomatlán, or by private boat. Our local team is happy to help coordinate your arrival and make getting here as easy as possible.

Amazing Place, Owner and Host, best home rental I have ever had
Can't say enough about how good the communication with Kristina, she really helped me plan the trip. Alex, the local host and his family were top notch. You cannot possibly have better service and a host. And the home is the nicest in Yelapa, and all the locals know it as "the really nice place." I definitely plan on going back.

Yelapa Love
I stayed a month. First time visit. Yelapa is inhabited by friendly, lovely people. I m a senior citizen and never once felt fearful. My accommodations were superb with all the modern convenience needed to make my stay totally wonderful!

Posh spot in Yelapa
This is probably the nicest place in Yelapa for a couple. It overlooks the beach, where the river meets the sea. Excellent for people watching and bird watching, yet very private at the same time. Away from the bustle of town, but it's not a chore to walk there. The amenities are amazing for a place like Yelapa, so if you're looking for a bit of luxury off the beaten path, this is the place to go.

Yelapa has been part of my life since I was about nine or ten years old. I grew up coming here, and now I have the privilege of calling it home. Over the years, I’ve watched the village change in some ways while still holding onto the character and slower rhythm that made me fall in love with it in the first place.
Casa dos Águas is just steps from the beach and a short walk from the village. I love this part of Yelapa because it still feels distinctly local — small restaurants and shops, walking paths, the beach, the bay and everyday village life are all part of the experience.
There is no road access from Puerto Vallarta, and arriving by water is part of what makes Yelapa so special. Once you’re here, life naturally slows down. You walk, take in the view, stop for something local, head to the beach and settle into the rhythm of the village.
It’s the quieter, more authentic side of coastal Mexico that I’ve loved since childhood — relaxed, beautiful and wonderfully removed from the everyday.
