Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Nice location but old and needs some work.

Four adults in our 50s. The unit was in a fun location; however; it needs a lot of work. Air conditioning never shut off and still didn't cool the place. VERY hot at night. Broken items: outdoor chair, vent in dryer, tile in kitchen, drawers in kitchen. Ripped up kitchen chairs, tile falling off in kitchen, TV remotes didn't work in bedroom, second bedroom closets full of junky beach items, code to elevator never worked, and only one key fob to get into the elevator. It's directly across from John's Pass... you will hear music but we enjoyed that. If you don't mind this, the place was fine. If it had a few updates, it would be a nice place to stay.

Stay away from Vacasa

Arrived to check in. Unit code from Vacasa management was incorrect. Finally got the correct code. Immediately found out that the pool, ocean access and elevator are accessed using a fob. Keys no longer are used to access the pool, ocean, and rear elevator. Immediately contacted VRBO and Vacasa and was informed that a local representative would contact me within 24 hours to rectify the problem and even sent them a photo of the pool and ocean access to show that there is no longer a keyed lock on the gates. Waited 48 hours and called VRBO and Vacasa again. Explained the situation and the fact that no one has contacted me. Let them know that a member of the HOA said that this unit does not have a fob to access the pool, elevator or ocean because the management company never requested one and that one was available if the management company asked for one. Waited 24 more hours and still no contact from the management company. Called and emailed again and received the same reply, someone local would contact me within 24 hours. Never got to use the pool or the beach access because we needed a fob. This may be an ocean front unit; however you need to walk down the road to use the public beach access because the resort ocean access requires a fob. This unit was listed with a pool; however the pool is not accessible without the fob. Requested a fifty percent refund and was only given four hundred dollars for my trouble. This was a two week rental.

I liked the area as it was close to shopping and restaurants. I didn’t like the lack of communication. The condo had upgraded to a fob system to access elevators, stairs, pool and beach gate. We did not receive our fobs until two days in and after 3 calls to the unit management (Vacasa) which were of no help. We only received the fobs because we inquired to local maintenance and building manager.

Do Not Recommend

The location was fabulous. From the minute we arrived we could not access the elevator or room, because we were given the wrong code to access the door. After a quick text we were given the correct code to our condo and was able to get in. Once inside we were told to use the physical keys that were hanging up to access the amenities around the resort i.e., pool and beach. However, there was no way to use a physical key. No key holes preaent. We were told by another guest that we would need a key fob to access the elevator, pool, beach etc., They advised us to chwck our lock box, but again we had no code to get into it. After several more texts/calls and a day later we were given the lick box code, just to open it and find NO key fob inside. More texts/calls and litterally waiting at the elevator to wait for someone to get off or come swipe there key fob - was the only way for us to get up to our condo. Another day and more texs/calls and still in the same situation. We spoke to many different reps and even though was given a couple of case numbers we still had to keep re-explaining the situation. One rep assured me this would be reaolved in one hour or else to call back and due to your confidence Gurantee, I could get a refund. That has not happened. This was eacalated and we still have not heard back. The whole vacation was ruined by time on the phone/texts, and the frustration of not being able to use the amenities - which is why we rented this place.

Location location but so dated

The location of this condo is wonderful. John’s pass directly across the street and the beach just steps away. The pool is small but on the beach without the sand. There is a w/d in this unit not just “available” as the listing states. There’s tons of beach equipment which I was told there was none and bought my own before we arrived. There’s music on the huge balcony every day/night from bamboo beach club across the road. The dated items: broken patio chairs, faucets, broken kitchen cabinets, pull out sofa awful and almost impossible to put back, mattresses and not smart tv in small bedroom with no cable. Dirty items: under beds, vents covered in mold, mattress pad stained, some pillows, dust on mirror vanities. I expressed all the cleaning issues with Vacasa and they just said “thanks” after I dealt with the a/c not working when we arrived. This unit doesn’t not have key fobs for elevators and doors like most. The key to the dated front door is unusable so you have to put the long code in every time. This location is awesome but I suggest getting an updated unit. There’s lots like the two next door.

Madeira beach

Loved the location. The condo was clean and the deck had an amazing view of the ocean. Only negative was one of the elevators was out.

Great place

The place was great. Acros the street from Johns pass. Many surprice when we went in. They had beach chair which saved us money from buying or renting them. They had puzzles games and books. Which we enjoyed on the rainy days. Awesome spot 100% recommend.

Nice condo on the beach

Overall our stay was very nice. However Vacasa needs to be more in tune to its customer. I called because our code had changed. That part was ok. But when I had to call because there was no pool/beach key, it took 2 days. I don't understand someone answering a phone in another state and having to relay to someone else who then relays back to that person then on to me. Oh well. The stay was nice.

Terrible

The key to the door would mot work, colud mot find anyone to help get into the condo at 7 pm at night, tried until 11pm, finally went and rented another condo to have a place to stay. No one could help us get into the condo after 5 pm. Worst experience I have ever had in all my travels.

Excellent but noisy

Our stay was wonderful with a few exceptions. Pros: View and location is wonderful, property was very clean. Cons: The bar across the street is too loud. The door code given was incorrect. I was able to obtain the code by phone. Covered parking not available due to construction. Called regarding parking spot on two occasions and no return call. Luckily guest parking was available. Overall stay was fantastic.

Not the getaway I was expecting

Do your homework and read more reviews than I did, and save yourself money and a headache. First- this is an older property which in and of itself isn't a bad thing, but it is when the plumbing doesn't work or when you realize the pool is the size of a residential pool. I'm also very disappointed with Vacasa. This was my first and last time using them. The master toilet wouldn't flush without near overflowing and the outside sliding door handle was broken off so I spent about 6 hours trying to get the issues addressed by them on our first full day of vacation. Had to choose the phone option of "safety issue" just so someone would answer, and ended up talking to 3 different people over that 6 hours, telling each of them the same story. Eventually I got a call back from a contractor (?) who said he was contracted to take care of maintenance issues for Vacasa. Gave me a time he could be at the property to fix the issues and he never showed up- no call or text. An hour after that planned time I texted him to tell him we were leaving for the evening and he again said he would be there in 50 minutes. I didn't even reply- my first day of vacation had already been ruined. The rugs were ratty, and the bathroom rug had a huge hole. The socket in the lamp in the living room was broken and held together with scotch tape. The lamp in the front bedroom had a hole in it. The shower curtain liner was grungy and the tub looked dirty. Lastly, if you like the sound of loud bar music while you're trying to take in the beautiful sunset from the balcony, this unit is perfect for you. Every. Single. Day. Sun-Thurs the music stops at 9, though Fri and Sat it goes until 11pm. And I do mean LOUD bar music. Won't be back to Madeira Norte.

Beautiful view, peaceful setting.

Beautifully located Condo, with everything you need for a day at the beach. The Condo was very well cleaned, and we settled in to enjoy our 16 days It needs some updating the bathroom in particular. The patio door was very heavy for opening, and the handle needs replacing. We had a few stressful days with a broken lock prior to our departure, but our overall review is a good one.

Beautiful clean condo with a great view

The condo was well stocked and clean. It had everything we needed for or vacation. The bed was. As comfortable as being at home. Love the sunset views that that can be enjoyed from the balcony

Can't beat the location!

The condo was older but that is not important as long as it is clean, in good repair, and well appointed. We so appreciated it being stocked with all beach gear (minus umbrella) and plenty of towels. The location reveals why it has a good occupancy, it is in the middle of the Johns Pass complex of shops, restaurants, boardwalk and all the adventure bookings.

Home away from home!! Amazing view!!

This condo was perfect ! When we walked in we felt welcomed and right at home !! Very clean , stocked with so many extras for a day at the beach and with it being right on the beach made it even more amazing !! Cant believe it was right across from the Johns Pass so you've got so many options . I would highly recommend this condo to anyone ! I could easily wake up to those views everyday , unfortunately we only got a week.

Graduation

The property is great....getting the key....hum I had to find it..... there was a key box on the parking level, that another guest pointed out to me after I'm scrambling around d trying g to figure out how I'm supposed to get In. And yes you. Need a key for everything.... elevator, condo,gate to and from the beach. The condo was great...the beds could be better, especially the pull out sofa mattress. But overall I would visit again.
