Anchors Away is situated approx. middle of the lake. It was renovated in 2022 and provides a side-by-side ref. with icemaker and wine glasses. Dish Satellite in every room and Starlink high speed Wi-Fi. Nice linens, mattress, with soft and firm pillows. Fireplace, boardgames, and books for the family. Pier and carport have electrical outlet to charge your boat and outdoor lighting. Yes, it is waterfront! Sleeps 6. If available, check-in at 10AM for $30 and/or checkout 5PM $30, both $60

This house may have been the best VRBO location we’ve ever stayed in. The setting and the views were stunning. The house is beautiful and well stocked. We found the beds to be extremely comfortable and the restrooms were clean and user friendly. The only downside for folks wanting to have friends and family over is limited parking space. For us, that wasn’t an issue and we rated this experience 10 out of 10. Outstanding!!

Beautiful Place! Great for fishing, but not the best for swimming.

The house and accommodations were great. This is a fantastic place to relax and fish. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of linens and bathroom items. My only complaint is that this isn't a place to go swimming. The dock doesn't have a swim ladder, just a boat ladder that you have to wade through weeds to get to. I would also recommend bringing life jackets as the ones there were in a box with spider webs, and most were only the basic orange boxy kind. Enough to get you by on a kayak, though!

Great location, quiet cove!

House is located in a quiet cove. Not a single house on the other side of the cove. Very protected from wind and boat traffic. Hose was great. Open living room/kitchen area. Bedrooms are quite big. Master BR doesn't have any type of blinds/darkening shades to block the morning sunlight, so plan on getting up at sunrise. Dock could use another bumper, but no a big deal. Those are the only two, very minor "issues" we had, which really aren't issues at all. We'll definitely stay here again.

The inclination of the back yard to the pier is very steep. Too steep for people in their sixties. We left a day earlier because it was too hard on us.House was fine except for children’s handprints in the windows looking out over the deck.

Great Stay

Check in process was easy. Place was great. Lost power for an hour due to storms. We were not able to locate any light source but had some of our own sources. Something to think about if you are staying around the rainy season.

Perfect Caney Lake getaway!

Scheduled a weekend getaway for my parents, ended up bringing my in-laws, too, and the place was immaculate, comfortable and peaceful! Owner had clear instructions everywhere and communication was quick and easy! Will definitely book again!

High School Fishing Tournaments

this is our most favorite place to stay on Caney Lake. The host Tammy is amazing! She has made sure we always had everything we needed, was very easy to get in contact with if anything came up, this property is very clean. Very quiet. We feel right at home every time we stay if you’re looking for an amazing place I recommend this 10 out of 10.

Exceptional Accommodations

My family and I stayed at this well equipped spacious property to attend my father’s home going. This is exactly what we needed, an oasis in the midst of our dessert storm. We had absolutely no issues, the host was always accessible and the views were breathtaking. Thanks for allowing us to experience a piece of heaven on earth.

Peaceful Retreat

Anchor's Away was a perfect fit for our family stay. We brought my elderly aunts and uncle for a Celebration of Life. The front car port and zero entry made is easy for my elderly guests to maneuver. Anchor's Away was very inviting, clean with light, refreshing decor, well stocked kitchen, new appliances, a beautiful back deck with lots of seating and covered area for us to gather out of the rain, that looked out onto the lake and dock. It was just as published on the VRBO site. The owners provided a wonderful guest book with lots of info and easy check out process. Prior to our stay, I had a few questions, emailed the manager and had an immediate response from Tammy. We highly recommend Anchor's Away if you plan to be in the area.

Wonderful lake getaway!

This property was so cozy and perfect for our little Easter break getaway! Our family of 5 (three teenagers) was perfectly at home. We sat on the porch and simply enjoyed the view, fished, and grilled on the propane grill. Everything was super clean and there were plenty of pots and pans for cooking. I highly recommend this lake house.

Searching for a waterfront, spacious, nice décor, and private home to rent? Anchors Away is a single-family home situated approximately in the middle of the lake. It has three bedroom and two baths with a split floor plan. Don’t worry about the little things we even cover cleaning dish soap, dishwasher pods, and even paper towels. The spacious living area has an open floor plan with a leather sectional, two 5 X 5foot windows for waterfront views. As you can see from photos every room is utterly furnished from big closets, televisions, lamps, ceiling fans, and soft and firm pillows. Now the master bedroom is a dream get away. The walls and closet are real cypress wood, luxury white linens for the king size bed, remote candles, two 5 X 5foot windows with waterfront views, and big screen television. In the master bath you will find everything you may need, even bath salts after a fun day on the lake. If you book a 5-night stay or longer, a spa basket {example in photo section} is our gift to you to pamper yourself. You will see deer and the bald eagles fly over in this area often. There is outdoor lighting in the front and back of the home and pier as well for convenience and safety. The pier offers power if you need to charge your boat and chairs provided to fish or just relax. Located by water approximately 6 minutes from Hook’s Marina or 6 Minutes Laine’s’ Landing/Bateaux’s, and 4 minutes from Jimmie Davis State Park. Both marinas offer fuel pumps for boats, along with dining, and entertainment events often on weekends at Hook’s Marina. The state park has even a beach, playground, and splash pad, and you can access the park by boat. Dollar General is approximately 6 miles away in Weston and Jonesboro 11 miles providing fast food, Wal-Mart, and local shopping needs. We provided a book in the home with a map of the lake, public boat launches, local dining options, and area shopping. Book your vacation get away on Caney Lake at “Anchors Away”.
