The house is right off the highway, so you hear highway noise when we were sitting outside but more noteable is that it is right next to a campground that has cabins. We could hear the kids playing like they were right next to us and at one point it got a bit loud, so we went inside. Obviously, nothing to do with the house itself, just where it's located.

Loved our stay!

We loved our stay here! Location is perfect and so close to Lost Maples. The house is very private so you can enjoy nature and your company in peace. Betty was fantastic and quick in responding to our questions.

Loved Peach Tree Cottage

This property was perfect for our family. Beautiful surroundings. Great house. Our family of 6 loved it. Great location for Lost Maples and a short drive to Garner SP. We would gladly stay here again!

Great alternative to the cabins at Garner SP

Normally stay at a cabin at Garner SP, but due to road construction they weren't available, but so glad we found PeachTree cottage. Nice and quiet, set far enough off the road to feel secluded, but a very short drive to Lost Maples SP. Clean and had plenty of gear for cooking. Would definitely come back!

The location was perfect, just a few minutes' drive from Lost Maples and the surrounding area very pretty and serene. But the house, appliances, linens, and furniture are worn and needs a good deep cleaning and upgrade. The walls/doors were grimy, cobwebs around the house, dirt around all the ceiling vents, toothpaste in the sink, etc. There was a large gap under the front door and we found Giant Desert centipedes on 3 different occasions inside the home.

Beautiful property. Feels like staying on top of a mountain. Coming from the city, the quiet was intoxicating. A wonderful break from the rat race of the city.

Very Comfortable

Great location

If you want a comfortable place as close to Lost Maples as possible, consider this home. Big yard, access to live water, great shade trees, comfortable functional house, and less than two minutes to the SNA. We will be back.

Perfect for relaxing!

Our family enjoyed our stay! We had room to spread out and had everything we needed. So close to Lost Maples park we came home for lunch then went back. Remember to bring groceries because they are $$$ in Utopia.

Nice property that was accurately described. It is pretty far from pretty much everything so be aware of that. And unfortunately the creek was pretty low while we were there

Very nice house in a very beautiful area.

My wife and I really love the Lost Maples area, one of our favorites for natural beauty. Peachtree is in the middle of all that beauty with everything one could wish for to make their stay enjoyable. Very spacious, love the dining room with windows on three sides, love the outdoor spaces and furniture. Can't think of anything else we could wished for other than more time there.

Exactly what we wanted!

Everything was perfect! The house was comfortable and welcoming. We had everything we needed and more. The beds are comfortable, great WiFi & kitchen has everything you need We loved morning coffee and evenings watching lightning bugs on the porch. The house is as close to los maples as you can get without staying in the park, perfect for day use. Exactly what we wanted for our vacation 💛

wonderful little cottage/house, rustic and clean. Mattresses a little used but that was part of it. Very country!

Peaceful Retreat

Homey, comfortable. So restful. Enjoyed the birds, squirrels and deer.Everything needed for mealtime. Enjoyed the veranda and watching the rain. Definitely plan to stay again. Great that we could take our 2 fur babies with us. My daughter and I came away so refreshed after some very stressful past months.

Quiet and comfortable

Nothing quite like being at Grandma’s house. This is how the peach cottage felt to us . Instantly we felt at home and were able to relax. Even though major road is nearby you don’t hear anything . Creek for kids to play in within 50 yards and room for bikes and yard games or sit and drink coffee on the porch and watch the birds eat from feeders. All you can ask from any place not your own. We will come back definitely .

Perfect Home Base for April 2024 Total Eclipse

Peach Tree Cottage was a wonderful stay for our family visit to see the April 2024 Eclipse. Quiet, peaceful and spacious with wonderful porch, dining and outdoor BBQ areas. Vanderpool has clear night skies for telescope observing and is surrounded by the beautiful Texas Hill Country (and Lost Maples Nature Preserve). The Cottage would have been the perfect location to see and experience the Eclipse as it was very near the Eclipse Center Line. Unfortunately on Eclipse day, heavy clouds and weather moved in over Vanderpool and we relocated north chasing blue sky pockets and partly cloudy skies to finally see the spectacular Total Eclipse in Junction, Texas.
