The exterior of this home offers a secluded Bayfront setting with covered parking, enclosed outdoor shower (hot/cold), outdoor ground floor living space with comfortable furniture, mini fridge, charcoal grill, spacious covered screened porch with comfy seating, large dining table for al fresco meals overlooking the Bay, porch swing and ceiling fans. Steps off the Bayfront porch lead directly to the ground floor deck with more comfortable seating and the private dock with swim ladder, fish cleaning table and built-in benches to take in panoramic views of the waterfront.

Inside, Flamingo Bay features single floor living with a large and open living/dining/kitchen area with stunning waterfront views and direct porch access. There is lots of comfy seating with the white slipcovered sofa and 6 club chairs, large flat screen TV, gas fireplace, built in cocktail bar with wine fridge and beautifully finished heart pine floors. There is plenty of room for your group to gather for coastal feasts at the large dining table with shell chandelier and at the bar counter stools that look into the beautifully appointed kitchen. The chef in your crew will love the fully stocked kitchen with Wolf gas range, stainless appliances, marble counters with center island and beautiful custom wood cabinets. Wood ceilings throughout the living spaces add to the warm, welcoming vibe of Bay Watch. A half bathroom and full washer/dryer provide additional guest convenience.

Sleeping accommodations at Flamingo Bay feature the large king master bedroom with adjoining sunroom, offering luxury and privacy. The fabulous master bathroom offers double vanities, large walk-in shower, soaker tub and custom walk-in closet/dressing room. Only somewhat “negative” things to note is the outside bathroom was a little rough and the master bedroom bathtub faucet was broke, only allowing us to take a bath with the rinsing wand during my stay. These were the only only “inconveniences” myself and my party recognized and the rest of the home was amazing.

While we enjoyed our stay there, we were not quite satisfied with a few things. The house was clean on the surface but a-lot of the dishes were not clean and the cabinets themselves inside really smelled like old food.Of course we washed all the dishes that we used. The doors had stains like old food on them and the floors were exactly clean. Personally I think the house needs a really good deep cleaning. Some of the furniture was kind of stained and needed cleaning.This house has a-lot of potential and the view was great. We did wipe down the door frames and knobs while we were there and cleaned the floors in the kitchen.The downstairs was a mess actually and the half bathroom wasn’t functional.Hopefully we will find a greater rental next year.

Fantastic View Peaceful Bliss

The layout of the home and the furnishings are great. Comfortable beds and sitting areas. Great dock with loads of birds and jumping fish. We saw a dolphin two times cruising the docks. We managed to catch a few fish, which was a bonus. Cons:We found a lot of dishes that were not left clean. Most likely due to the previous renter not using the dish washer correctly. We found the detergent pod laying in the bottom of the washer that had never dissolved. There was no washing machine detergent that we could find to wash the towels as requested by instructions in the home. These instructions were not mentioned in the email we received. This is probably my biggest issue. It states in amenities that there's is a beach cart provided. We didn't select a cart in our 250.00 free gear for that reason. The next day I couldn't find the cart. I called the company that provided the free gear, they own the house. I asked if I could swap the corn hole board and bikes we rented for a cart. I was told no and that I would have to rent it at a 110.00 rental minimum. Seems they would have granted us that wish. At least the listed cart should be removed since there isn't one. Long haul to the beach without one. With that said we would most likely rent again and make sure we get a cart next time.

Wood floors are balanced with exquisite area rugs. The appliances, Wolf range, and wet bar were greatly valued.The seating area for four with comfortable white covered lounge chairs became the perfect conversation zone. The wrap around back screened porch was perfect for drying (sanding) off and lounging to watch the bay wildlife. Bathrooms are tiled and have great shower heads. The soaking tub is heavenly. The on-demand water heater meant we could run the dishwasher or washing machine and others could shower.Outside: While it was a bit too cold to use the lower deck, this would be great gathering location, along with the lower bathroom and outdoor shower in warmer months. And even though it was a bit chilly, we ventured out in the two-person kayak. Watch the wind and tide, as it was a bit of paddle to get back in! The ability to load cars undercover was very helpful. The new extension on the dock makes for amazing sunsets and sunrises --for those early risers.Thank you so much for a quality stay. It was greatly appreciated. All of us had a wonderful experience.

Relaxing stay in a charming location

We spent a Christmas week with friends and family here. The location is beautiful, with easy access to water sports activities. The house is spacious and nicely decorated. Kitchen supplies were plentiful. We enjoyed our stay and plan to come back!

Reviewer Comments: First off the house was beautiful, the house has great location not far everything (beach acess,the mainland,the pool).The house was very clean and neat.The amenities that came with the house were great.A fully stock kitchen,t.v. in each room.Outside there were kayaks with life jackets,crab traps(kids loved those).There were lots of places to lounge outside and on the screened in back porch.We fished off the deck everyday.Everything about this place was awesome my family and I really enjoyed our stay.

Quality Time on the Bay

I loved the property when it was for sale and it did not disappoint. Gorgeous home at a lovely location. Several issues with trip hazards, yes I fell, as the grade level change is not highlighted where the drive goes under the house.The backyard by the bay had many, many trip hazards as well. Stumps throughout often caused stubbed toes or falls trying to carry the SUP and kayak to the water. Also several stumps in the water close to shore caused pain. There was no warning about the very sharp barnacles on the rocks near the shore which are hard to see in high tide and led to a visit to the Appalachacola Vet for a slashed foot ($700). Broken toilet seat, nail heads exposed on the porch, and roaches. Roaches in the pantry and could not use gas grill as it was covered in roaches. Dead roaches on the floors every day. Would have loved a heads up when work was done on the home while I was there. Also, the spiget under the house has a significant leak.

Our experience with Flamingo Bay and McKenzie Register was amazing.

Staying at Flamingo Bay was absolutely PERFECT!!! The views from our screened in porch looking out onto the Bay was breathtaking! We experienced the sunrises and sunsets everyday! It was so relaxing! The house was very, very clean from fresh linens to VERY comfortable beds! They thought of everything to make our stay wonderful! They were so accommodating!! I would go back to Flamingo tomorrow if I could! McKenzie Register was always there for us willing to do anything to make our stay perfect. In fact, we are already working with Gulf Coast Vacation Properties/McKenzie Register for next year!

Lovely Bayside home with both sunsets and sunrises

I cannot say enough great things about this property! We loved everything about it. Sunrises and sunsets. Fishing and kayaking right off the dock. Short walk/ bike ride to beach with a wagon and beach supplies available for our use. Kayaks come with the rental too! We brought ours, not knowing this ahead of time. So many lovely sitting areas throughout the space: screened in porch, two Lower patios with drink fridge, sink, hot water outdoor shower. My son loved the swing. Our dog loved chasing lizards and crabs. Neighboring houses seem to be private residences, not rentals to the public, as we didn’t see anyone the entire time. So that was nice not to have any other renters to possibly hear. The view from the house 180 degrees of water, so you almost feel like your in a cruise ship! Plenty of cookware, dishes, tuberware, beach towels, and bath towels. Shampoo etc, were provided as well. Ice maker works! Which was a plus as often times they don’t in these beach rentals. It was really such a relaxing and comfortable home!
