The expansive yard, almost an acre in size, is perfect for outdoor fun with a badminton net, cornhole, and other yard games. Grill up a feast on the gas grill or charcoal camp-style BBQ beside the basketball hoop, or relax on the grassy area with two picnic tables surrounded by lush landscaping. The star of the yard is the large private pool, complete with an outdoor shower, a fish cleaning station, and a sand-rinsing spigot. The house's secluded location offers potential wildlife sightings and a tranquil sunset view. The spacious front yard is ideal for playing cornhole, volleyball, or racket ball.

To reach the beach, simply follow the path through the woods between the two brown houses and cross the dunes. A large sand buggy, beach toys, and chairs are included with the rental. Alternatively, you can drive to the nearest 4x4 access point, less than a mile away, or visit the Salvo Sound day use area for calm waters.
Back at the house, the first floor features a game room with a TV, couch, vintage Nintendo system (or plug in your own console), fridge, freezer, and chairs for gaming or privacy. The game room also contains a sink, microwave, Keurig mini, and coffee maker for your convenience. A washer and dryer are available in the main entrance.

On the first floor, you'll find two full bathrooms and two bedrooms, one of which has a queen bed and a window overlooking the yard, as well as a portable crib, bassinet, and mattress. The other bedroom has two full-size bunk beds and access to the back deck. Both rooms have large flat-screen TVs with Roku.

The second floor houses three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom contains a full bed and two twins, perfect for a budding oceanographer, with inspiring decorations and a telescope for stargazing. The other two bedrooms include a king bed with a desk and private bathroom, and a queen bed with a desk, both with access to the second-floor deck and hot tub.

The third floor boasts stunning sunset and sunrise views over the Sound and Ocean. The south-facing deck, open kitchen, living, and dining areas provide picturesque water views and an abundance of natural light. With a custom-made table that seats 8-10, four additional seats at the kitchen island, and another five on the screened-in porch, there's ample dining space for everyone.

The updated kitchen is well-equipped with both ceramic and melamine dishware, a coffee maker, 4-slice toaster, bakeware, utensils, and more, as well as a new dishwasher and oven. Two couches offer lounge space for rainy day movie marathons on Roku streaming TV, and a half bath is available for convenience.

The sixth bedroom, Sunrise Siesta, features a king bed and a private full bathroom, perfect for early birds to watch the sunrise. With three porches and magnificent views from sunset to sunrise, Adventure House brings the beauty of OBX to your family.

Linens and towels are provided, ensuring you and your family enjoy a comfortable and memorable stay at Adventure House.

Experience the sun-kissed pool at our family-friendly and dog-friendly vacation home, open from mid-April through October 15th. The pool is unheated but receives ample sunlight for your enjoyment.

We welcome both kids and dogs, making your stay even more delightful. Please note that we charge a $250 fee per dog, and pre-approval is required. Kindly message us with your dog's information. To ensure the comfort of our little guests, we provide 4 baby gates, a pack-n-play with a mattress and baby sheets, as well as kid and baby toys and books.

Our rental includes towels, linens, shampoo, conditioner, and other essential amenities to make your stay hassle-free. We also offer individually wrapped toothbrushes, makeup wipes, and a gift bag upon arrival for your convenience.

While we encourage you to enjoy your stay with your furry friend, we kindly request that you respect our neighbor's grass lot with a walking path to the beach. Please do not let dogs run freely in this area unless you are walking to the beach. Always leash your dog during walks and pick up after them. Our property offers ample space for dogs to play, although it is not fully fenced in. The front yard and side yard make excellent play areas for your four-legged companions!
