Samaria de Playa is top notch!

Hotel property and room was very clean and updated. Our unit was well furnished and comfortable. Samaria's staff super friendly and helpful. Just be sure someone in your group speaks Spanish or have Google Translate downloaded to your phone. Only 4% of the population speaks English so good idea no matter where you travel in Colombia.

Great for the price

Depending on your wants, needs and desires will determine if this is the correct location for you. If you are looking for a great price and a good apartment, then this is your spot. If you are established in five star luxury living, this will not be the place for you. The gym, the steam room, the massages, the pools, the staff are all friendly and greet. The elevators did not function correctly one time out of the 15 day stay. There are three elevators and on half of the state there was only one elevator and when you are on the 17th floor, this can lead to a very long wait. I took the stairs several times. My host, was always attentive and answered any questions I had, the cleaning lady was amazing and very friendly. There is only one restaurant on site and you are not going to have a large selection. Again, depending your needs, this may be perfect, or it may not be what you are used to having for luxury. Even though I was on the 17th floor, you could hear the highway traffic as if it was outside your window, there was one bedroom that was silent, but it had the smaller bad, but I did enjoy the silence when I was sleeping and the dark room. Because of the price, it is a little more budget friendly toward guess of lesser value or proper manners, there were two fights that happened at the pool area during the stay, if I had my children I would not want them to be exposed to what I saw. My host, again, I gave him a five star, he did great, and if he had other locations, I would be happy to use his services again.

Authentic Colombian feel .Close to many beautiful famous places to discover like Tayrona National Park, Palomino, Cuidad perdida , Minca and many others to discover.Of course the beaches are great ! Santa Marta offers a vibrant night life scene a few minutes from the residence.
