Joel, We are sorry you had this experience. We’ve tried to be very transparent throughout the remodel process with our guests. To that end, we made sure that all the photo’s in the listing were current and accurate, we highlighted the remodel status in the listing itself and we personally talked with each guest about where we were in the process. We also offered the unit at a discounted rate during this process. If we fell short based on those attempts to be transparent with you, we apologize. As indicated in the remodel description, the fireplace and artwork were to be finalized this fall, so we understand the concern about the unit being stark. Since the photos and description showed that and we discussed that with you, we didn’t think it would be a problem. I’m sorry you felt the furniture was cheap and worn out, but I can assure you 90% of the furniture that was in the unit at the time of your stay was brand new and recently purchased from a luxury furniture manufacturer. This includes the new bunk bed that was recently installed in the guest room. The only pieces of furniture that were not brand new were a coffee table and the set of stools. These have since been replaced. I'm also sorry you had trouble with the TVs. These are brand new Samsung Smart TVs that were setup and tested by our audio-visual team just before you arrived. I wish you would have let us know you were having issues with them while you were here! We would have been happy to show you that they turn off by holding down the power button. Again, we are so sorry to hear you were not satisfied with your stay. We hope you will give us a chance to make it up to you. Respectfully, A Better Life Team
