Rickett’s Hidden Treasure- Sullivan County

The perfect basecamp for your Rickett's Glen adventure. Located just 7 miles from the famous waterfall trails, our cabin sits on a quiet, secluded acre.

Inside, you will find 1,200sq.ft. of cozy, open-concept living- complete with a propane fireplace for chilly nights and a 'Game Corner' to keep the kids entertained. After a long day of hiking the 21 waterfalls, rinse off in the outdoor shower and head to the firepit.

We're pet friendly!


Cozy 1200 sq ft single floor living space that is open and relaxing with a propane fire place and game area. 2 Private bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, and living space.

Bedroom #1 has a queen bed, dresser, and closet.

Bedroom #2 has a bunk bed featuring a single and a full.

Living space has a recliner, couch, and a futon that can be used as a sleeping spot.

Game corner features books, chalk board, board games, tic tac toe, basketball, and a fooseball table

Full size kitchen with propane stove and refrigerator. Washer and dryer in the bathroom. Bathroom features a tub.

We are pet friendly. Please just message to let us know you are bringing your pet!

Great outdoor peaceful spot. A grill and outdoor firepit in the back yard provided for additional cooking options and will make great memories around the fire. Large deck with family seating options.

Outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day at Lake Jean.

This is a cabin in the woods. You may experience deer, bear, turkeys, and other animals on the property. You also may see mice, spiders, or bugs as you are on a property in the woods. We recently have added a water cooler with fresh water for drinking. We have well water along with a house filtration system but some guests prefer to bring water to drink rather than the tap water. Please don’t hunt on the property. Thank you

We have bundles of fire wood available for sale. You are welcome to bring your own or use fallen limbs on the property, just please don’t cut down trees. We have some outdoor seating for the fire pit but would suggest also bringing your own along with some outdoor games if you wish!

The cabin was wonderful! It was secluded, clean, and close proximity to Ricketts Glen State Park and all of the great hikes. Communication with the owner was great, easy checkin and checkout process. Kids really enjoyed the foosball table. Definitely recommend!

Great location to go to Rickett's Glen. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and I appreciate that 2 large dogs were allowed to come with us at this rental. It is secluded and all you hear are the forest sounds when outside. The queen bed was very comfortable. It was about a 15 minute drive to the different Rickett's Glen trails.

This place is PERFECT! Secluded, clean, quiet. Everything you could need is already there, even the stuff that’s easy to forget. All instructions were clear to follow (like how to access, directions, what to do when you’re leaving, etc.). Host communication was great! Truly a home away from home feel. Cozy. Plenty to do if needed. We didn’t get to use the fire pit or outdoor areas because it was too cold out, but the area were so inviting! I would totally stay here again! My dogs LOVED the area. Room to run & explore. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Was our second stay there and just as enjoyable as the first. Host was helpful and responsive as well as worked to accommodate our travel needs. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, decked out with lovely Christmas decor. Nice perk to have reasonably good Internet in the middle of nowhere. Dogs had a good time romping in the snow.

This place was amazing. Even better than the reviews and listing. There was so much space, it was clean, there were games and activities, the fire pit was perfect. Grill worked great, quiet and peaceful. My dogs loved it.

We were so pleasantly surprised at how secluded this property was! It was very clean and had everything we needed! It was such a relief not to lug towels, bed sheets and all with us. The convenience of a washer and dryer were amazing too. My husband and I both said we'd never slept better. Would absolutely stay here again!!

Hidden but Worth the Trip

This VRBO is very clean, easy to speak w/ owner and cozy, yet plenty of room ! It's a fun set up with a gas fireplace and ' game room'! The entry dirt road is fun to watch for animals.. Highly recommend for R & R, hiking/ exploring at Rickett's Glen or World's End state parks.
