The home's crown jewel is the giant sunroom with an extra-large sectional where you can cozy up with a blanket and feel immersed in nature year-round. After the sunsets, it's a fantastic place to stargaze through the glass-paneled ceiling. When you're ready for some fresh air, there's a spacious, partially-covered deck with panoramic views of the surrounding forest. If you want to have a family cookout or indulge in an alfresco meal, take a seat at the picnic table and enjoy the quiet.

Cute country style pervades the interior with wood paneling, barn doors, antique curiosities, and painted kitchen cabinets. The bedrooms feature elaborate chandeliers for a touch of elegance. The basement features a TV room off the bunk room that younger guests will love using as a private hangout.

Weekend Getaway

The location and 4 season room was perfect for my family. We were far enough from town to get the Northern woods experience and close enough to go have some fun down town! The fire pit in the back was a perfect setup and we loved waking up to have coffee in the 4season room to watch sun come up❤️

Great location

This was far away enough from the Wisconsin Dells, but also a short trip into town to experience all the Dells has to offer. We enjoyed the woodsy getaway.

Holiday in the Dells

The property was large enough for our group and very spacious. The house smelled like sewage when we checked in. The smell came from the laundry room drain. We flushed it with water and it seemed to get better. There were rules for the pet on the property that were not laid out in the listing. There is no lighting in the sunroom for night time so we moved one of the laps from the downstairs bedroom the the sunroom. I am 5'5" and had a very hard time getting into the king size beds, bring a step stool if your shorter. All in all it fit out needs but a few things need improvements.

Family Vacation

We loved how beautiful the living room with the windows are! Oh thing I didn’t like was there is no air upstairs and it was way to hot to sleep up there. The one window crank was broke so you couldn’t open both windows to get a breeze. Before I booked I seen that as a complaint so I thought it would have been fixed. Also, upstairs smelled like dog pee pretty bad.

Lovely wooded retreat

We enjoyed our stay. This is certainly a wilderness getaway as there really is nothing nearby. We had to backtrack 30 minutes to get groceries so make sure to stop on the way! My only two complaints would be that there is no AC upstairs and one of the bedroom windows in one room didn’t open so you could not get a cross breeze and in the there room there was no screen in one window so that was the same situation. The glass living room ceiling was so dirty it was pretty hard to see through which was a bummer given that was the primary reason that we picked the home. All-in-all we enjoyed the house, it was decorated very tastefully and provided everything we needed!

Great, as long as the temperatures are mild.

Pros: Good amount of space. Comfy beds Awesome den. Cons: there is only 1 wall air conditioning unit in the house located in the dining room. The 2 upstairs bedrooms got very hot and the only option was to open windows and use the fan (this helped but was still entirely too hot for my comfort). The temps were mild while we were there (low 80's) but it was very hot upstairs. If you are heat sensitive and/or expecting hot temps do not plan on using the 2 upstairs bedrooms. Also, it is 35-40 minutes to the attractions in Wisconsin Dells.

Vacasa Management is the worst

We had an emergency (involving police) and could not make it to the cabin. I tried to reach out to the management company and they are completely unresponsive. Same with the owners, even though there is a direct chat feature with management/owners. I will never book with any home that’s managed by Vacasa.

Pretty but broken

We arrived and the house looked great. We walked through and found empty beer cans on the shelf in the closet upstairs, the shower head downstairs leaks all over the place, the barn doors to the main bedroom don’t have a stopper and it was awkward trying to keep them open or closed, the glass on the solarium hasn’t been cleaned in quite some time, you could not see starlight if you tried. It’s a great concept, if cleaned properly, maintained correctly and the lawn needs to be mowed it’s a foot tall and it’s tick season.. I’ve seen worse, I’ve seen much better.

Don’t waste your money

The grass was not cut and the said someone will come to cut it, but they never showed up. Also, there were ants in every room, including the living room and bedrooms. There were spiders next to the couch and on the side of the couch and stains on blankets on the couch. There was no firewood for the fire pit, and because the grass was not cut, it was tons of mosquitoes and other bugs back there in sitting water. The bench by the fire pit was full of blood don’t know from what couldn’t use it. There were no chairs for the fire pit back there that didn’t have red stains on them. It was not a clean place.

OVERPAID!!

I was way overcharged for what we got! First of all this was supposed to be 20 minutes from the Dells and it took over 35 minutes to get to anywhere in the Dells. So we spent a lot more on gas than expected. The bathrooms BOTH need to be updated! There was no AC upstairs and no air movement. Just really disappointed...

Very nice but could use a little attention

The good: The home has very nice beds and sleeping arrangements. The sun room is delightful. The setting in the glacial area is beautiful. The decorating is very nice. Things that could be improved: The kitchen supplies are very minimal. There are no baking sheets, for example. No high-ball glasses. No hot pads. Limited utensils and plates. The coffee maker takes 45 minutes to brew a pot. The shower head upstairs seems to be clogged, and only sprays out of 25% of the holes. The lower level has a bit of a sewer gas smell so keep the mechanicals door closed. There were signs and sounds of mice as mentioned by the people that were here a month prior to us so that wasn't addressed. Overall we like it and will return but hope they can make a few improvements.

Could have been better l

The cabin itself was decent and the beds were comfortable, however we made note of several issues: - Broken kitchen drawer - Minimal kitchen essentials - Inches thick of ice on the driveway. A guest fell and hit her head. - Burnt window curtain from heater in upstairs bedroom (fire hazard) - Barnyard doors get stuck - Motion sensor light wouldn't turn off on deck - outside garbage hadnt been taken out and was overflowing - Ceiling tile in basement was damaged - Sliding glass door doesnt have a lock - Cobwebs in most windows and bathroom - Upstairs bedroom window knob was broken - the neighbors have big dogs that are off leash and come into the yard to use the bathroom. My dogs were frightened. - Dead lady bugs in dining room light - Ice dispenser doesn't work - Dim light in stairwell so couldnt see well - Main floor bathroom sink and kitchen sink hardly drain If remedied, we would consider staying again.

3 Day Family Getaway

We really enjoyed the location, Good size for our needs (Family of Four), Loved the fact we could bring our Golden Retriever. Was able to take her on some nice walks. Hiking/Snowshoeing around John Muir Park was great, Perfect 2.0 Miles, We really enjoyed the Spacious Sun Room. Would of like to have Utilized the Basement, however there had been a Dead Mouse Oder coming from the Laundry area in the Basement, we had to burn some Incense to help mask the smell. Since it was winter it would have been nice to utilize the Pellet Stove to take off the chill in the Morning, but there were not enough pellets(I even tried to buy some). We arrived on Christmas Day and there weren't a lot of choices for Restaurants (most of which are closed on Monday and Tuesday) we expected to cook some of our meals, however the Skillets need to be scrubbed as obviously the previous guests must have just put them in the dish washer. Could also use some more of the basics (Cookie Sheets) The last thing I think they could improve on is have the ability to shut off the Spot Lights on the Garage, they are motion activated and they shine directly into the Patio Doors going out to the deck from 1st Floor Bedroom, Or room darkening curtains. Please don't get me wrong we had a good time and loved the location and decided we would come back either in the spring or Fall and bring our friends.

Anniversary Weekend Getaway

We spent a long weekend with friends at this beautiful place. We all had our own space with 4 bedrooms to choose from. The main living area was perfect for our group. This property is about a 30-40 minute drive from Wisconsin Dells. We were able to take advantage of some fun stuff there, while also enjoying some time in Oxford. We would definitely consider staying here again!
