Modern River Cottage with Amazing River and Marina Views

Enjoy our completely remodeled chic modern cottage located on top of a hill overlooking a seasonal community and marina, with the best views of Lake Clarke on the Susquehanna River. The 360-degree views are something that cannot be expressed unless seeing for oneself… Simply a must-see experience! The sunsets mixed with the lake views are breathtaking!
This cottage is perfect for a romantic get a way, two couples enjoying time together or a guys/girls weekend. The property can accommodate 4 adults comfortably. Two extremely comfortable bedrooms with queen beds covered with bamboo linens. We also case our mattresses and pillows in allergen covers for your best stay. Each bedroom a has flat screen smart tv and climate control for your finest comfort.
We have a one full bath that has all modern features to include heated floors, heated towel rack, touch screen lighted mirror and the best feature of all, a multi person rainfall shower.
The kitchen is packed with everything you would need to accommodate your inner chef needs. The living room has a 75 inch smart TV with Streaming Services and couch for relaxing after enjoying the river's many amenities.
The outside deck wraps around the cottage with a roof overhang on the side of the home for privacy. We added gates to the deck so your dogs can stay on the porch without worry of wondering off. There is plenty of outdoor lounge seating with additional dining seating as well for your outdoor gourmet desires. There is a also a gas propane grill if you prefer to stay in and cook meals.
There are endless nearby lures to consist of Moondancer winery with outdoor music, Hershey Park, Dutch Wonderland, Strasburg Railroad Attraction, Dutch Apple Dinner Theater, Hiking Trails, antique malls and restaurants in Columbia and a short drive to Lancaster which would include fabulous restaurants and endless attractions! There is a nearby park, Kline’s Run Park, which offers free disc golf (bring your own discs), Picnic area and playground for kids. There are boat rentals located at Lake Clarke Marina and Long Level Marina. Definitely check out Shank’s Mare for paddle board and Kayak rentals or for a guided excursion exploring the 11 miles of The Susquehanna River’s waterways. Be sure to book in advance for rentals as they are busy.

Also Located near multiple wedding venues to include Lauxmont Farms, Stone Mill, Historic Ashland, River's Edge, Prospect Valley, and Melhorn Manor.

The property is about 38 minutes from Harrisburg International Airport (HIA) which makes easy travel for our out of state guests.

There is no River access with this listing. The river may be accessed through the Marina’s, Kline’s Run Park or the Public Launch about a mile down River.

Excellent and relaxing

Checkin was quick and efficient. Had the code to the home well before I got there. The house was a pleasant stay and a beautiful overlook of the Sasquahanna River. Great place to relax before my wedding day.

Fall getaway

My visit to the cottage in Wrightsville was absolutely perfect! I couldn’t have asked for better views. The house was clean and updated. The beds including pillows were very comfortable! There is a lots to do around including one of the best dog parks I’ve ever been to- Canine Meadows. I came home feeling so relaxed. I would definitely stay again.

Amazing Place!

Had a wonderful and relaxing week stay. The property has a beautiful setting and is situated high enough for a wonderful view of the river. The inside was clean and well layed out, nice view from the windows. Kitchen was very nice and had all the amenities needed. Comfortable beds. Nice TV's. The highlight was the deck. There was a table for eating and two sitting areas. One of the sitting areas was covered and shaded all day. Very quiet and peaceful. The host responded immediately after we booked with directions and a thorough list of local restaurants, grocery stores, and attractions. Also gave contact information in case we needed anything, which we didn't. I would definitely book again.

This place is so adorable. The couple Josh and Nicole have thought of everything. The view is spectacular. I loved the gates for my dogs. I’ll def try to go back in fall.

A must stay!

We absolutely loved this stay and I highly recommend it! The space is beautiful and very well thought out. The view from the house is stunning and the sunrise is a must watch. The hosts are so kind and very quick to respond. Again, I can’t recommend this stay enough!

I don’t know where to start my family had an amazing time the place has all state of the art appliances it was so modernized the view was amazing and they literally have everything you could possibly I cooked for my family grilled we enjoyed the peace it wasn’t to far from any of the attractions we attended and we drove from Indiana so it was very comforting to stay somewhere so amazing we will for sure make this our rental spot every time we choose to travel to PA

Great find!

We had a great stay and can’t wait to return! The home was very clean and had all the basics a guest may need, but it was the view (from the living room, kitchen, and bedroom) that really won us over. We enjoyed spending hours on the huge gated porch (great for our dog), easily cooked meals in the well equipped kitchen, and enjoyed several hikes and restaurants only a few minutes away. Looking forward to coming back again!

Wrightsville PA

Like most northeasterners - heavy rain, high temps and UNBEARABLE humidity held us hostage inside the house and I desperately needed to get out so this trip was pretty much last minute. We wanted a quiet retreat for a few days, did not want to fly or drive too far by car so I started searching. I came upon this spot in VRBO in PA. Everything about it looked great and luck was in our favor, as this spot just happened to be available for a few days. Within an hour or 2 after booking, I was contacted by Josh, the host. This was only the 2nd time ever we hadn’t booked a hotel so Josh put my mind at ease right away and answered all of our questions and let us know that if we needed anything during our stay, to give him a call. GPS, additional directions provided by VRBO, plus additional directions from Josh took us right there. It was immaculately clean (I’m a clean fanatic - MUST HAVE clean!!!!). The air conditioner was on so it was nice and cool and had EVERYTHING we needed that we did not take with us. A bottle of wine, several COLD water bottles and a notebook listing restaurant and such were waiting for us. The front (river facing) deck was perfect for morning coffee while waiting for the sunrise. After the heat set in, we retreated to the side with the overhang (also river view), but a much more private, homey, and a completely comfortable spot. My husband and I sat there for HOURS, enjoying the shade, with a gentle breeze most of the day, just w

The view from he deck was everything we read! Just beautiful - and the high full rainbow over the lake was breathtaking. The house itself - well, I cannot find one negative thing to say! We definitely recommend this house.

Incredible river view!

This cottage rental was a contemporary design beauty that provided beautiful, peaceful views of the Susquehanna River. It's tucked away for privacy but close to amenities. Boating and kayak rentals are available through a local vendor. Right behind the cottage is a vineyard to visit, which was a nice activity for our long weekend visit. The inside was very clean, the beds were comfy, and the bathroom was top-notch. We will be back.

Amazing Getaway

My husband and I stayed at Josh's wonderful rental property with our dog, Charlie for a much needed week-long vacation. We absolutely loved the house! We were greeted with a lovely welcome gift that Josh and Nicole had waiting for us when we opened the door. It was a great start to a fantastic week. The house was immaculate. Seriously...and we have rented a lot of homes! There were so many thoughtful touches, such as the heated towel rack, heated bathroom floor, toiletries, local information, well-stocked kitchen, and citronella candles and insect repellant on the deck. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises on the deck overlooking the lake and relaxing evenings on the couch in front of the picturesque fireplace with every cable channel and streaming service you could imagine. We spent most of our time in nearby Lancaster taking part in Amish scooter and buggy tours and experiencing the culture. Nearby we enjoyed the Turkey Hill Farm Ice Cream Experience and John Wright restaurant. We wish we would have had more time to enjoy the lake and rent a boat, but there is always next time! It was a very special week and we are so happy we chose to rent Josh's home. We highly recommend it!

Perfect place to relax and take in the views!

The cottage was absolutely perfect for us to enjoy a long weekend with our 2 little goldendoodles. This house was spotless and had everything you could need with plenty of upgrades. The bathroom has a heated towel rack, living Room has a very cool convertible sofa to stretch out on, and a beautiful fireplace that has a no heat setting so you can enjoy it in the summer as well. The outside deck is so spacious with a covered seating area as well as another dining & seating area. The views were absolutely beautiful from all seating areas. Josh was kind enough to add gates on the deck prior to our arrival so our dogs would be able to roam safely on the deck. We couldn’t have been happier to spend our time just relaxing in such a beautiful place. The area was very quiet and safe. Josh was so accommodating, communicative, and gracious. Thank you for the wine & chocolates when we arrived. It was a nice surprise when entered the home. We hope to visit again!!!
