Great location in Basel

Great location in Basel. We walked from the train station to the apartment. Great outdoor balcony. 2 bedrooms. Easy access. Near dining and shopping. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice location!

The apartment was very nice and clean and the property managers were available to help with any questions that we had. The apartment has a great central location and close to public transportation and many shops and restaurants. They even let us check in early once the apartment was cleaned and ready for occupancy. Overall, a great experience!

Central Basel family location

A great fit for a family needing additional bedrooms or space. This is one of a number of units in the Marketplatz HITrental Apartments. Description is exactly as described and was perfect for us as a home base while in Basel for travel. The location is right between Marktplatz and Barfusserplatz (in terms of transit stops). Grocery shopping is easy with several groceries nearby.

Hot!

If considering this option for summer, PLEASE know that there is NO AC and virtually no airflow through the property. We were miserably hot and it made for a very unrelaxed experience. Was sooooo hot that we slept without sheets or covers and were still uncomfortable. Otherwise well equipped and a perfect location.

Please understand that we are facing very hot weeks at the moment which is very unusual for Switzerland. Normally it is not so hot over such a long period. And since we are not used to AC in Switzerland, no apartments have an installed AC. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

Perfect spot, great service, everything we needed!

We stayed here for a week in March 2023 for our spring break. We are a family of 5 and the sleeping arrangements were perfect. We did not spend a lot of our daytime in the apartment as we were there for sightseeing, but we did not feel cramped during the times we were there. The outdoor space was a nice bonus, it was private and relaxing. The apartment itself is fresh and modern, everything worked exactly as expected. The property manager is really great - we communicated a lot throughout the week about a variety of things, such as how the included transit card works, where I might park a car I rented for the day, and how I could extend our stay. I wondered if the manager might be exasperated with all my questions, but I received fast, friendly, and helpful communication every time. We loved the location - it was close enough to everything to feel lively when we went out, but quiet inside for sleeping and relaxing when we needed a break. The location is right between Marktplatz and Barfusserplatz (in terms of transit stops). Getting to and from Banhof SBB is easy via tram. And, grocery shopping is easy with several groceries nearby. We didn't do any major cooking, but the basic pots and pans are there if you wanted to make a small meal, and we did a couple of times. I would highly recommend this apartment to a family, but it also would be great for a business traveler coming to Basel for an extended stay. We really enjoyed our time and would definitely come back.
